To be honest, dear reader, I am not an avid comic book reader! While I do enjoy the superhero…read moremovies that come along each year, and I do casually read certain runs, or listen to explanations of certain comics via Comics Explained, I do not keep up with this medium as consistently as I do with Video Games. The only run that I have kept up with on a consistent basis is the Sonic the Hedgehog comics, both the Archie run (slightly before Ian Flynn would take over) and the IDW run as I am a huge fan of Sonic. Due to this, I do like to visit a comic book store every once-in-a-while, and this is my #1 spot! I found out about this nice little spot back in 2006 or 2007 as after learning about the Archie run via the Sonic Mega Collection, I wanted to start reading these comics. I noticed this place from time to time in my family's travels to Bellflower and asked my Mother to take me one day. I stopped going for a long time, not because of any specific negative reason, but just because they stopped selling the Sonic run. Since Sonic is the only comic book that I read, I had no reason to return. I did find out about places like Pulp Fiction, but I found that the customer service was consistently not up to par and eventually stopped going. Last year, during Free Comic Book Day, I wanted to stop by a Comic Book Store in order to pick up some of the free comic books. I first went to Amazing Comics & Cards, but found the selection to be very limited and a similar problem of the customer service being poor. I went here after so long to see if they were participating in Free Comic Book Day, and luckily enough, they were! Going in, it is still majorly organized as I remember way back when, but just now with more Graphic Novels and Manga. One thing that I can always say is the best about this place is the customer service. When I went to Free Comic Book Day, they gave people a list of what was available and crossed out any that were not available, they allowed an individual to get way more comics than the previous store I went to (like 5 comics in comparison to 2 or 3), and when I was conflicted on which comic to get, they just allowed me to have both. Not only this, the main guy at the cash register, I never got his name, but is an older white gentleman that usually wears a cap, is always nice and helpful. I don't remember him from years ago, but immediately from our first interaction, he has the best personality. Easy to talk to and start up a conversation, and leaves a definite positive impression after stepping out of the store. And this isn't just one interaction, I had been going from time to time in 2025, and the attitude was always solid. They never seem to run out of the comics that I am looking for and just generally seem to be great spot hidden away in the Bellflower area. In all, from what I remember back in the mid-to-late 2000s and recently, I give them 5 stars. A great place for comic readers and worthy of being one of my favorite spots to stop by when I am in the mood of purchasing a comic.

Pulp Fiction is smaller than a lot of comic book stores but they do have a decent selection. They also sell used graphic novels for 50% or more off, and allow trade-ins for credit. They sell stickers designed by local artists as well. They do not sell back issues of comic books. Limited street parking. Clean and bright inside.

I met Vincent, and he recognized my kids and me - we're noobs when it comes to Pokémon cards and pretty much only buy $1-2 bulk foil cards for fun, and we've walked the floor maybe once before. Vincent is a gem of a dealer and human being. He gave my boys sleeves, and even $5 full alt-art foils at no cost. Needless to say, for any future Pokémon purchases, I'm coming to these guys first. They also had 6-7 binders full of great $1-2 cards and it's exactly what we're looking for. Ended up walking out with $20 worth of $1 cards, not including their gifts to my boys. I get it, we're not high-dollar spenders for this hobby, but these guys treated us like we were. Vincent and his team deserve all the business they get.

Always a great place to go when I'm looking for some MTG…read morecards. They let you look thru the bulk yourself and they always have a great selection of boosters and singles. And it's not even their focus!!! Staff is always so great some of the nicest people ever, I had turned away from other shops because the staff in these spaces could be rude or somewhat elitist or Cynical and I almost turned away from the hobby as a whole but the folk here are so nice and welcoming that they single-handedly kept me in. Amazing value and prices for singles and honestly very fair prices for their boosters. They do buy x for x deals on their boosters and it helps you save a bit!

This was our last stop in the great search. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in, we asked if they had the (Hercules) comic books in stock and they said yes!! They have the latest ongoing issues from Marvel and DC, plenty of trade collections and graphic novels for all ages, and an independent comic creator display. The walls are lined with funko pops of real people as well as fictional characters, there are t-shirts, action figures and toys, and just generally cool geeky things to buy. The shop is bright and clean, well designed for browsing with plenty of space to move around eye catching displays, and the assistant was very friendly - the whole vibe makes you want to come back and support them, which I hope you will do!

I even found not one, but two copies of an old movie I've been searching for in every secondhand store for five years! Weirdly the copies were in totally different sections of the store, and the noticeably dirtier disc was the more expensive one? But the slogan is right with you don't know what gems you'll find just by spending your time looking. This location though is not for the faint of heart introverts. Lots of people in this location, being attached to a busy mall and Costco. The crowd was intensive and the staff were basically running around showing people where things were. Hope this location gets as much staff coverage as they need because my visit didn't seem like it, and workers seemed overworked. When I was helped they were nice and fast though!

The associates working were nice and kind to hold my books for me when I went to the restroom! This is a great place to check for any books that are missing in your collection or a new read! TIP: The closest restroom would be Round1 which is up the escalator! Parking is ample!
