Really enjoyed our purrrfect visit here. It's been on our list for months, and because it's off the beaten track for us, we kept missing it. The cafe is expansive with plenty of seating, but the orange TV room is my personal favorite for privacy. My fiancé is a transplant patient, and anytime we can somehow isolate from crowds is literally amazing. Parking is easy, which is always a plus. Service is fantastic. The only negative is my own fault. I advise everyone to take a minute to think or ask the staff about other menu offerings before placing their orders. There are several menus - chalkboards and a laminated menu and they also had a seasonal paper fall menu, which we never noticed - so we ended up ordering drinks we sort of regretted, if that makes sense. We've been wanting to get here for a while. The place was packed but we were able to find a cozy little nook to enjoy our drinks and treats. This place is roomy and eclectic. They were playing great music - everything from Phil Collins to The Strokes. I tried the Cats Bananas iced coffee and it was delicious! Also thumbs up to the sourdough banana bread! I absolutely LOVED my banana latte I got here. It was truly 10/10. We decided to host book club at this recommended coffee spot right over the bridge and for a Saturday morning they were slammed!! Luckily we were able to wait and find a spot for us to take over. I also got the homemade brown sugar pop tart. Scrumptious I love the whole vibe of this place having mismatched furniture and tables where people played chess and fun music plays and there are just little pockets of room where people can hang out. It will be nice once the hype dies down a bit as the parking lot is a bit challenging but I cannot wait to go back and try another latte and their cinnamon rolls read more

This place is soooo vibey! I discovered it on I Seagram and had to check it out. The setting gives vintage, 79-80's, retro style decor. I ordered the Cat drink, which was very flavorful. It was topped with raspberry, which was different, I can't say I was a fan. The rest of the drink was amazing! read more

An incredibly well curated eclectic, retro themed cafe. With a menu to boast and antique furniture, decor, and seating, it all pairs well with the classics playing over the speakers. This has become my new favorite spot. It was quite busy but the girls behind the coffee bar were swift and friendly despite the rush. Enjoyed our drinks at Atomic Cat. We had a pina colada matcha and a strawberry refresher. There's lots of places to sit with different types of furniture. One side is darker and the other side is brighter with lots of color and lights. I do wish the a/c worked better. They had lots of fans. The darker side was cooler since there was less light. Def a cool place to check out with all of the eclectic furniture. Service was friendly. Drinks took a bit of time since it was busy but no big deal. read more

I popped in this morning the day after hearing about this new place from Rachel M. I've been trying to think of words to describe the decor and I'm going to go with Uniquely Fantastic Mid-Century Modern. Wow! This huge place has multiple couches, seating areas and multiple rooms, all full of incredible mid-century furnishings, lamps and tables with an older, darker style hidden in a back room. I'm not expert but I know uniquely fantastic when I see it! Molly kindly served me Colombian espresso, locally roasted by Wuz Here roasters. They also offer a nice assortment of sourdough pastries so I picked up a strawberry pop-tart to try! I will let my nephew, who has been eating pop tarts every morning for months on the Appalachian Trail, know better ones are surely available here! The coffee was perfectly smooth and enjoyable with no need for sugar or additives. I then walked around and took photos and video clips to share. It's like an incredible comfortable mid-century modern museum that has no entry fee! I met Mick, the owner, who explained how, with this wife Ingrid, they created this amazing place. He runs a used furniture store and she runs a thrift shop specializing in albums in the same plaza! Next I asked about the Atomic Cat and did more research on my own time. The symbol represented a futuristic, elegant hope for a modern present and more modern and amazing future! It apparently became popular when the mid-century modern style became popular and it's easy to see why. Look around the shop and see how many atomic cats you can find! Me and the girls went the other weekend and I got the car-amaran and it was delicious! In fact so good I went back again this past Saturday and got the Cat's bananas (I believe it was called ) so decadent and sweet I loved it! I can't wait to go again and try more things. The two different decor types in there are awesome and I love how they have decor available for purchase. Atomic Cat is a one-of-a-kind shop. The inside decor reminds me of what you might buy at a high-end garage sale from the 1970s. I have no idea how they found all these retro items, but inside is like being inside a time capsule. I ordered the Cat's Bananas Iced Latte. This contains caramel, banana, & toffee flavoring. It was certainly fun to try. I would have enjoyed more banana flavor in it, but it certainly gets an A for being a creative latte combo. read more

Atomic Cat is a great addition to St. Pete. From the moment you walk in, you're transported into a retro 1970s-inspired space with an awesome vintage aesthetic. It pretty much like a thoughtfully curated thrift store that was meshed into a coffee shop. Comfortable couches, unique furniture, books, vinyl records, and plenty of interesting details everywhere you look. It also looks like much of that is for sale, and I believe they collaborate with the thrift shop next door, which is a great concept. The atmosphere alone makes this a great place to spend a few hours. Whether you're looking to work remotely or just relax with a good coffee, it's solid. The staff were incredibly friendly, but the coffee is what really impressed me. I tried the Catamaran latte, and it was excellent, one of the better specialty lattes I've had in the area. I also tried the Cat's Banana, which was delicious. These aren't gimmicky drinks, someone who appreciates high-quality coffee would be happy here. read more

This place is absolutely adorable, with so many cool decorations and two different themes going on. One half is super colorful and 70s looking, while the other feels more gothic and dark. Both are full of cool furniture, paintings, and decorations that really make you feel immersed. The employees were super sweet and helpful as well, though service can be a little slow (probably due to long lines!) I did not try any food on this visit, but they do offer lots of sourdough goodies that looked and smelled delicious. As far as coffee goes, I got a latte with a housemade brown sugar bourbon syrup. It was pretty tasty, though not quite sweet enough for my liking. I was a little disappointed to see that only two of their flavors are housemade, while the rest are artificial syrups. I would love to try one of their signature lattes, but I wish they included more housemade syrup options. read more

Absolutely adore this place! We ordered a dirty chai with oat milk and a cat-amaran to drink, and shared one of their enormous cinnamon rolls from the sourdough menu. Oh me, oh my was it amazing. The atmosphere is all vibes. There are many nooks to tuck into and get lost for a while. We sat and talked for hours and saw so many different people! The place is eclectic for sure. They have books and decor for sale. It's certainly worth a Sunday afternoon. Ingrid's the boutique across the plaza was also a whole moment. Can't wait for us to go back. read more

Nice to have a local coffee shop on this side of town. Located in a small strip plaza right off of Gandy you will find this groovy cafe with Ode to cats (no real cats inside). They just opened so I got it and the line started forming pretty long. I can see why. I got the specialty latte, the Cat-amaran and with hints of the toasted marshmallow cold foam, I was supposed how smooth the coffee was and not overly sweet. I didn't get a chance to try the cinnamon roll and other sweet up front (even though they were staring me down). I'll be back when the hype dies down a bit. I will say maybe because it's a new cool spot but it somehow gave me a pretentious vibe, I don't know if it was customers or staff but I'll be back regardless! read more

Not to sound like a loser but I drove 40 minutes to this coffee shop after seeing it on tik tok. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Coffee was amazing. Cinnamon roll was amazing. Seating was so comfy. I struggle to find coffee shops I'll be comfy sitting in for hours to work on my lap top because a lot of them lack comfortable seating and a cozy environment. This offered everything plus some. Such a cool "far out" place!!! My daughter & I went to have coffee together and check the place out. We absolutely loved it! From the great service, coffee, & snacks, great classic music, to the outstanding decor!!! What a blast thru the past!!! Cool vibe all the way around!! We also skipped over to Ingrids Vintage shop on the other side of the parking lot. So many cool, groovy items priced just right! Enjoyed Crosby Stills & Nash album playing on the turn table!!!!!
