The server/barista was lovely and incredibly helpful, especially for a couple of first-timers. Full disclosure: after eating at Denver Biscuit Company in Denver, our biscuit standards are admittedly unreasonable. While this place missed those sky-high expectations by just a hair, it still delivers great biscuits, a cozy vibe, and enough charm to earn a return visit. The only really yummy thing about this place was the homemade jam bar -- every single jam was delicious!! You stand in line to order and then find a seat. On a weekend when it's busy (and the line is to the door), I thought this awkward because almost all of the tables are situated between people standing in line waiting to order. There is outside seating, but it wasn't warm enough to sit outside. (The staff does a good job to clear tables as soon as someone leaves which is good!) I ordered a skillet and it was so basic and bland. The only thing that gave it any flavor was the cheese. Menu said caramelized onion and it was just diced, barely cooked onions. Basic scrambled eggs piled on some cheese, with chunks of uncooked tomatoes, diced onions, and bland potatoes. The biscuit that came on the Benedict was hard, the egg was overcooked, and there wasn't much sauce so by the end it was very dry. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but we paid $40 for two meals and one biscuit. Needless to say, this place is a pass for me. read more

I dine in at Atomic Biscuit and order through DoorDash often. No issues until today. When I opened my order, both main dishes had fruit flies inside the boxes. That alone made the food inedible. The eggs, bacon, and biscuits arrived poorly packed. The biscuit was shoved into the eggs, breaking the yolks and soaking the biscuit. This dish usually arrives with the biscuit in a separate container. The waffles with berries and whipped cream were missing the whipped cream. The side of scrambled eggs we paid extra for contained only a few bites. Every item had a problem. Receiving food with bugs is unacceptable. This experience was unsanitary and disappointing. The reviews for this place were glowing, so I had to see for myself! Even though it's a biscuit spot, the banana caramel waffle was the star of the show--perfectly crispy, buttery, and topped with fresh bananas without being overly sweet. I tried the monte which was delicious and came with an interesting pineapple jalapeño jam which I surprisingly enjoyed. Very quick service and clean atmosphere. We found this place online while on our Utah trip and gave it a try! You place your order at the counter and take a number, then your order is brought out to you at your table. The space got busier as we were dining, but was empty when we first entered. I loved that there was a jam bar in the corner, but as first timers, we didn't know it was there until mid-way through our meal - if we had known, we would've ordered some bread so we could try the jam! I was excited to try this new brunch spot and was a bit disappointed with the experience. As soon as we walked in I noticed how dirty the floor was, not only was there food under the tables, but there were pieces of egg and biscuit tracked over the floor throughout the entire dining area. It looked like it had not been swept in some time and it was impossible not to step on something. The system here is a little complex, you can get menus from the counter in the back, seat yourself, look over the menu, leave your table to order at the counter and pay, they bring drinks and food out, and I think you are supposed to bus your own dishes after you are finished. You are prompted to tip before you experience the service or food. The owner proactively came out when we seated ourselves with menus and introduced herself, suggested some items form the menu and pointed out the jam/jelly bar, and was extremely friendly. I ordered the Sweet & Sassy with a mimosa and my partner ordered the Goin Southern and a soda. I think they forgot the mimosa and my partner noticed and went to the counter to ask for it after his drink was in the table for about 5 minutes (the orange juice was delicious), the owner came out and apologized and offered us a free biscuit, which I appreciated so much but I declined as I wanted to save room for my main dish. Our food was cold, and I thought my sweet & sassy was good, a bit bland and on the sweet side, it maybe could have benefited from some optional sriracha to spice it up. I found something tough and brown in my slaw, I bit into it and it had the texture of cabbage, maybe an old piece. In hindsight I wish I had gotten a sweet breakfast option because the reviews of the jams and jellies are good. The owner was very attentive and checked on us a couple times. I didn't want to raise a complaint about every grievance, she was clearly trying to make things right. This brought a one star experience up to two for me.
