I dine in at Atomic Biscuit and order through DoorDash often. No issues until today. When I opened my order, both main dishes had fruit flies inside the boxes. That alone made the food inedible. The eggs, bacon, and biscuits arrived poorly packed. The biscuit was shoved into the eggs, breaking the yolks and soaking the biscuit. This dish usually arrives with the biscuit in a separate container. The waffles with berries and whipped cream were missing the whipped cream. The side of scrambled eggs we paid extra for contained only a few bites. Every item had a problem. Receiving food with bugs is unacceptable. This experience was unsanitary and disappointing. Do better.

BANANA CARAMEL PECAN with side home fries & bacon
Keyona D.

The reviews for this place were glowing, so I had to see for myself! Even though it's a biscuit spot, the banana caramel waffle was the star of the show--perfectly crispy, buttery, and topped with fresh bananas without being overly sweet. The home fries and bacon were elite-tier sides, though the mocha was a bit weak for my taste. The staff was a little awkward and didn't check in much, but the food more than made up for it. I'll definitely be back to finally give those biscuits a try!

Good food with some unusual coffee and biscuit combinations. They have a great little jelly bar to supplement and a cute little cafe. I really liked mine. Hubs thought his was good just not epic. Self serve at the counter.

Jams

Atomic biscuit is a solid brunch choice. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the Filthy Animal (fried chicken, bacon, and Monterey Jack on a biscuit smothered in gravy), and vanilla lattes. Both dishes were good. The lattes were great, they had the perfect amount of sweetness. There is a jam bar in the corner with 5 different jams and butter. The jam options were blueberry lemon zest, strawberry, spiced cherry, rosemary mango, and sweet potato chai. The three I had were really good, I would come back for a biscuit and jam(s) alone!

Atomic Biscuit is definitely worth a stop if you love big, bold biscuit-based breakfast creations. We tried the Filthy Animal and the Mountain Man, and both were fantastic. Hearty, flavorful, and built on biscuits that are buttery, fluffy, and full of flavor. I am kicking myself for not trying the French Toast! It's a seat-yourself, order-at-the-counter setup, so expect a line, especially during peak hours. The wait wasn't bad, though, because the food came out surprisingly fast. Interaction with staff is pretty minimal, but we never felt like we needed more. We also loved the dog-friendly, semi-covered patio. It was a great spot to enjoy the beautiful weather. All in all, Atomic Biscuit nails the combo of great food, a laid-back vibe, and little extras (like the jam bar and patio) that make it memorable and worth going back!

I came here for breakfast with my friend, and it was not at all busy. I got a biscuit with gravy, bacon, and eggs. My food was good! Like other reviews say, you order at the counter and then pick a table. It's kind of a self-serve place after your food is brought to you, which is fine by me. Service was friendly enough when we interacted. We ate in their outdoor area, which was really cute (just too hot as the morning progressed). Overall, a really good experience for me. Definitely give this place a go if you need some downtown breakfast.

Go Atomic Omelette
Thalia G.

This food exceeded my expectations! It's order at the counter, and seat yourself style. We came at 9am and ordered the Go Atomic Omelette (4/5) and the Filthy Animal biscuit (5/5). I was worried the loaded biscuit with bacon, sausage gravy, fried chicken and hot honey would be too much but it was delicious! This was my first time here and always saw it on the way home from Loki Coffee, so went with friends finally and even got some yummy jams for the other half of my generous biscuit. By the time we left, the line was out the door and on the sidewalk! I also tried the lavender vanilla latte and it was great and not too sweet like most Utah coffee shops make their overly sweet drinks!

Oreo and Graham Cracker Lattes
Elizabeth B.

So so good. We got the filthy animal, chicken and waffles, and the Nashville honey hot. All of the chicken was flavorful and cooked well. The biscuits were fluffy and the jam bar was fun. The lattes were amazing too, even if they were probably over a thousand calories. I would totally eat here again.

Great comfort cooking option for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The area is great, with plenty of street parking. The inside gets a bit loud and echoey when full, but otherwise the ambiance is good. You order at the counter then sit, and everyone working was friendly.

Wow! So much food and taste amazing. You have to try the jam from the jam bar with your biscuit. The spiced cherry and blueberry lemon were my favorites.

Came early on a Tuesday morning - street parking wasn't a problem at 830 am on a weekday. Great location on 9th South & 4th east and they have outdoor seating. Everything you need is available in the patio area - utensils- napkins- condiments along with trash can & tubs for used dishes- hint you need to bus your own tables ! We came for the biscuits and we weren't disappointed- eggs cooked to perfection- county ham delicious food was excellent and we enjoyed our meal . The only interaction we had with the service staff was at the counter to order our food and when food was served at our table ! Can't speak to the customer service they are just there! Tipping is an option but hard to tip the 25% which is one of the options when you pay ! Overall we had a good meal - easy parking

THE FILTHY ANIMAL and MONTE
Rebecca C.

The biscuits are freshly made and so soft, food comes out quick, cute vibe and the staff is very friendly! I tried the monte which was delicious and came with an interesting pineapple jalapeño jam which I surprisingly enjoyed. I ended up getting an extra biscuit to sample their homemade jams and I had no regrets. My favorite jams were the strawberry and the peach jams! They also had an interesting mango rosemary and blueberry lavender jam that are also delicious and definitely worth trying! This is a great breakfast/brunch spot especially for a biscuit lover. So yummy!

Very quick service and clean atmosphere. We found this place online while on our Utah trip and gave it a try! You place your order at the counter and take a number, then your order is brought out to you at your table. The space got busier as we were dining, but was empty when we first entered. I loved that there was a jam bar in the corner, but as first timers, we didn't know it was there until mid-way through our meal - if we had known, we would've ordered some bread so we could try the jam! So definitely order some bread so you can try the jam! The berry waffle kebab I ordered was delicious, but I'd recommend sharing since the portion felt too large for one individual. I would come back again to try some more items on the menu and explore the jam bar!

The biscuits were delicious and I really enjoyed my latte. They are busy especially on the weekends but worth the wait.

I like supporting local business especially while traveling sometimes you have to go to the chain…read morebut sometimes you don't. In this instance so glad I didn't Sauce Boss was amazing. We chose it because it was close to the hotel how lucky are we. We went with a group of five. We ordered three entrees and a side of wings. The wings were our starter and they were fantastic black and wings are great highly recommend. My wife and I split the fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and the cornbread it was absolutely fantastic cannot speak highly enough. My mom and dad split the shrimp and grits which they also said was great I did try the grits they were lovely, gooey, cheesy awesomeness. My sister had the kale salad as she needs gluten-free options it was easily the largest most fantastic looking kale salad I've ever seen, and she said it was great. The last thing I would probably comment on is the sauces with a name like sauce boss it better have good sauce and it did. Each and every sauce was unique from others I've had but didn't disappoint all where extremely tasty I especially like the spicy one that came with the fried chicken. At this restaurant they don't have salt and pepper on the table and for good reason everything was spiced and seasoned very well. As for service, our server was very attentive, very kind, made great suggestions and all that being that we came in within a half an hour, 45 minutes of closing, you can't beat that!!! If you want boring food don't eat here. If you want the same plain Jane thing you find at every other chain, don't eat here! On the other hand, if you want amazingly tasty food, service and sauces and a good story to tell eat here!!!

Draper, Utah…read more Southern food? Fried catfish? All in the middle of Utah? I had to try it. This is a sit down and order restaurant. Very casual inside, white walls with metal chairs and concrete floor. Very simple. Very small space. About 14 tables. I have food, allergies, and the waitress answered all of my questions. But then she sent the chef/owner, Julius, over to talk with me. Pleasant man from Chicago. But his recipes are all from his family who lived in the South. I ordered the fried catfish which is accompanied with two sides. I chose the candied yams and the mac & cheese. My husband ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, potatoes, and gravy and the macaroni and cheese. Both plates are served with a slice of cornbread with a large honey butter smothered on top. The food came out very hot. The breading on the catfish is very thick and a lot of spices. I was pleasantly surprised when I cut my catfish and discovered it was deboned and tender. The mac & cheese was creamy and the candied yams were super sweet. Just the way I prefer them. They did seem a bit runny, but the flavor was good. The fried chicken was unbelievably moist. The breading was thick and crunchy. The mashed potatoes were of course, homemade with spices, and the brown gravy is chicken based. The cornbread was delicious. Comes with a slab of honey butter. I only wish it was served warm. It would've made the experience perfect. The food portions are large. The food has wonderful flavor with the perfect spice and southern heat. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I would give it 4.8 stars. The only two things that brought it down from a perfect score were the cornbread being cold, and the restaurant was not a cozy feel. Please come check this restaurant out and meet Julius.

On a Sunday morning at 11, there was no wait. I was surprised by this, but it looks like they may get busier in the afternoon. They don't take reservations, but you can get on the Yelp waitlist. The inside is cute with a decent amount of tables, and they have outdoor seating as well. Both the hostess and server were nice. For drinks, they have a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic options. They don't have Diet Coke, so I went for a raspberry limeade. When in Rome ya know! I'm soooo glad I ended up getting this because it was delicious. The perfect combo of sour and sweet. Also, it has chunks of raspberry in it, which I loved. I prefer the actual fruit to a syrup, so I really enjoyed this. My friend got the honeydew cucumber mint limeade and let me try it. It was really good and refreshing!! My husband got a coffee and it was good. Both mine and my friends husband also enjoyed a mimosa!! For food, we started with the mini biscuits and hash bombs to start. Their biscuits, of course, are amazing. The jam that comes with them was great. The hash bombs were good but not my favorite. I didn't love the quinoa and wanted them to have cheese or something to make them a little more flavorful on their own. They were a great vessel for dipping in the really good limeade sauce that came with them. Everyone liked their main course. My breakfast tacos were delicious!! They came with chips and salsa. The salsa is a limeade and mint salsa. I didn't love it, but it was fun to try. My husband got the biscuit bar with gravy and said they were the best biscuits and gravy he's ever had. My friends got the hoss and garden hash and liked them both. This was a little bit of a weird experience cause halfway through our meal the server let us know that another patron at the restaurant had paid for everyone there. I had never had this happen before, and it was such a pleasant surprise! This place is a 5/5 regardless, but it was def an added bonus. I'm excited to come back and try something else cause the menu has so many standouts!!

My husband has dietary restrictions that make eating at diners difficult for him, but we were outvoted. Luckily there was one dish he could eat--the steak and eggs. The other half apparently wasn't in the system, so they had to retake half the table's orders. Meanwhile, my husband's steak was covered in teriyaki, so we had to ask for it to be remade. The rest of the food eventually came out, along with my husband's steak, which was once again covered in teriyaki sauce. They finally got it right on the third try, at which point everyone else was almost done eating. I got a turkey sandwich with pasta salad. We arrived for our 12:45 reservation and checked in on time. No greeting. The blonde hostess said there'd be a 10-20 minute wait. Fine. When I checked again, the brunette hostess claimed we "weren't on the list," even though we had a confirmed reservation. After some back‑and‑forth, she suddenly found it and told us to come back in five minutes. We were finally seated, then ignored for 20 minutes with no water, no greeting, nothing. The blonde eventually took our order, apologized, and said the brunette "didn't know we were there," even though she was the one who sat us. She offered a $10 gift card we never received. Two dishes we ordered were unavailable -- and we only found out after waiting another 20-30 minutes and watching tables seated after us get their food first. No manager was available, just a "server assistant" who couldn't do much. By the time we left, it was 2:00 PM. We'd been there over an hour with no food and nonstop confusion. A nearby table mentioned slow service too, so clearly this wasn't just us.
