I purchased a business in 2015. previous owners used them, so I continued. Business is seasonal, so in winter we gave the tills to the company to clean, update, etc to avoid issues. in 2016 or 2017, I can't recall, they would not answer me in the spring when i wanted my registers. They proceeded to tell me they had a power flash and my tills were fried. However, their biggest defence was that those tills only last x amount of years (Forgetting I am seasonal, and the use of the tills was less than 6 months a year. The hardware was the age it can give out, but it wasn't operated for the length of years they claim it can handle) The whole situation was sketchy in how they handled and explained it, urging me to purchase new tills from them, which I didn't want to do but the previous owner worked out a deal for me. I purchased my new registers from them and they had to order the front facing displays. I called them every spring and fall from The time of purchase inquiring about my customer front facing displays which I NEVER RECEIVED. In 2019 I called Again in the spring. Finally I went into their store front and raised hell. they tried telling me I never bought them until they reviewed the receipt. They gave me an order receipt and I still Have not seen these front facing displays as of August 6/2021. As a side note, one of the two owners left a few years ago, partially due to the behaviours and actions of the partner that remains, Rod. He is a crook and only cares about money. I printed the copies out went back to the counter asked to have them laminated . I was told they are very busy and leave them come back at 6 . there was no one behind me , no one at the counters and very few people in the store. So I said you have to be kidding me there is no one here . He got a little annoyed . So I took my papers and left. If they would have told me this to began with I would have gone somewhere else . I honestly believe it was a race issue . I have dealt with this store for a long time and I am happy to say I will never step foot in Staples again . Today my son and I looked at office chairs (we needed 3) sitting in them, talking to customers that…read morewalked by. We were there over 20 mins and watched FOUR employees look at us multiple times stand in aisle and walk away- not one single person came to help us... So naturally we left chair less because we needed someone to 1. tell us the price of the many unpriced/untagged chairs and 2. to get them down from the stock above... 3 chairs at minimum with their inflated prices would have been over 600 dollars, but the ones we were looking at would have been about 1200... guess they don't care to make their employer money. There wasn't even a single person at the customer service desk when I went looking for help. I mentioned what happened to one of the cashiers as we left... but she had a g F yourself IDGAF expression on her face too! GG staples! I can't believe the lack of customer service...
