Had the swankiest Dental office I'd ever seen. And a very friendly person too! I've seen had all my teeth on top pulled out with a false top. If there was ever any advice I can give to anyone, is to floss after every meal and brush twice a day, especially at night.

I see many of the same friendly faces each visit, and they always take the time to remember your name, what's going on in your life, and even set Alexa devices to whatever radio station you want so the appointment feels relaxed instead of clinical. I also decided to do clear aligners through them using the Reveal Clear Aligners system. I had been on the fence for years, but saw this recommendation as it was more affordable than Invisalign and other options I looked at, and the results were great for closing gaps in my teeth. Later, I needed to reschedule, and that's where everything went downhill. Beware they also want to charge you if you don't cancel on time...makes sense why they don't work with you when it comes to that. I called and Priscilla put me on hold for about 11 minutes without saying anything or giving me an update. I eventually hung up because that's way too long to leave someone waiting. If she was busy or the only person working, all she had to do was communicate that or offer to call me back from the start. After that, I called back twice from my phone and no one answered. Then I called from a different phone, and suddenly my call was picked up right away. At that point, I was frustrated that I told her to just cancel my appointment. I understand people get busy, but from my perspective, my calls from my number were being ignored. That's not how potential patients should be treated. The owner should be aware of how the front desk is handling patients because experiences like this can drive people away before they ever step into the office. I was genuinely interested in becoming a patient, but after this, I decided to go somewhere else.

I called West Davis and they got me in quickly with Dr. Ambriz who is a skilled cosmetic dentist and he did a beautiful job for me. He is no longer there though. I was having a tooth ache recently and called for an appointment. I had researched and decided to choose Dr. Enoksen. Took a little while to get in to see him but it was worth the wait. X-rays were taken and he showed me (gotta love the technology) that I had a necrotic tooth. He said the 2 possible solutions were a root canal, which he would try for first, or extraction and a bridge. Made another appointment. He is so booked that it always takes a while. He worked on me for 2 hours and could only get 2 of 3 canals. Needed another appointment for him to try to find the third. Came back, he worked and worked on it. Said he liked a challenge and he got it. I was impressed. Others would have given up and gone the other route. Some dentists just do what they are trained to. Some have a gift and care. Dr. Enoksen is one of those. He's also a very nice man. I hope he will always be my dentist from here on. I should also say intitially I was a bit put off by the size of West Davis Dental, the feel is a bit factory like. You don't get the same assistant every time, but everyone is good, and nice. It's only about 10 minutes from where I live which is another plus.

So I called Kessler Park Dental and they told me there that this was something they could do if i so desired ? So I thought, well they performed a write up on cost on paper with a 500 dollar charge for there so called preferred pricing and another 35,000 for the saving of these teeth that's if there were no other issues (yea right). I made it clear I wanted dentures and asked the dentist he tells me that he felt uncomfortable pulling in his words "teeth that can be saved "? Its very plain to me that this set up is very capitalized in a money making machine. Never mind what the patient wants. A few weeks later I had a crown come off and called them to put it back on. Went in, they said the tooth needed to be removed. And guess what, I asked to remove the tooth I was told they did not do extractions there, WAIT A MINUTE. They lied to me, denture service includes extractions, he decided to do nothing at all sends me up front for a referral for an oral surgeon. Clear across the other side of Dallas. And charges me 147 dollars for doing nothing. And to top it off I had to find my crown on a table I guess they thought they were going to keep it. When I say strong recommendation - when we were living out of state, she even made a point to fly in to see him to get a second opinion on the issues she was having with her teeth because she trusted him that much. During my visits, he would usually remark about my thick enamel and great teeth during his check up, and while I appreciated these talking points to share with my wife later from our brief interactions, I always felt like he was very caring and knowledgeable. But after my most recent experience, I can say that Dr. A not only won the genetic lottery for dentistry (if you meet him, you'll understand), but he is also extremely skilled and professional. I had - for the first time since puberty - developed an actual need for a dentist due to an issue with my bite. He is extremely caring, conservative (which I like), skilled, and ultimately just wanted the best for me. He even consulted with a number of other orthodontists and dentists to gauge their opinion on the best course of action. The approach he recommended has essentially corrected my entire issue with minimal invasiveness, which is what I wanted. His dedication to his patients is paramount and it shows. Highly recommended.

Dr. Bernard Avendanio may have the credentials of a dentist, but in my experience, he has demonstrated a shocking lack of the compassion, professionalism, accountability, and basic respect that patients should expect from someone entrusted with their health. The man I once trusted with my family's dental care has become someone I no longer recognize professionally. And then there is Jenilyn, whose handling of this entire situation has been an absolute masterclass in incompetence. In my experience, she couldn't find her way out of a paper bag with a map, written directions, and someone pointing toward the exit. Melissa made sure to check in with me often during the cleaning to ensure I was still comfortable. Emily did a great job explaining and sharing my estimate and my treatment plan.
