I would not recommend this business. There is something fishy going on when they ask for cash up front to get a bundle. I paid full service and the notes said paid in full however the are now saying the person that wrote the note in my records is gone and they wanted me to pay another 2.5k for the tooth I already paid for. Doctor Charles talks very nicely to all his patients & he does a very good job at explaining things, especially why he recommends certain procedures. He educates you on what is going on with your teeth. He isn't pushy or forceful. You can tell he cares about all his patients. He gave me a teeth cleaning & I did not feel any pain. I will never recommend anyone to visit Bleu Dentistry, I had a very bad experience with them I was placed inside of a dirty exam room when I brought it to the staff attention the room was cleaned. The staff admitted to my insurance company that I was placed into a dirty exam room. My dental care was canceled shortly after with some made up statement that was not true. It's a little too late to try and cover their tracks. Bleu Dentistry is a rip-off. They are a big scammer, the staff always calling and asking me to pay off my dental plan after I have agreed to pay monthly payments. From the initial lack of customer service to the subpar cleaning (I wasn't even flossed with my cleaning) to the selling me on dental care that I didn't need and missing a cavity that I did have to being charged a self pay price and submitting it to my insurance. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of professionalism and ethics. As a healthcare provider it saddens me to see these practices. After many phone calls I went in person and spoke to someone named Carlos who I was led to believe was the office manager. He told me that he was going to reach out to billing and get my issue resolved. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard from anyone. This is a great place to get dental work done. I was seen on time. The team was very professional in examining and providing solutions by priority. Absolutely love Dr. Charles and his staff! I am deathly afraid of dentists and dental procedures. They patiently worked with me on my anxiety issues, talked me through all my dental work and are always super professional. The office manager Hope is so super helpful with any questions and she has come back to assist the other dental hygienists to share her years of expertise since she is also certified. Megan is also a joy, always so cheerful and super helpful! I've been there so many times I can't count. For teeth cleanings, teeth extractions, gum work and dental partial fittings. Unfortunately, my experience with Bleu Dentistry was extremely disappointing. Not only did I pay for services that were not delivered, but I am still awaiting a refund. My consultation for porcelain veneers took place on December 14, 2022, and I was informed that it would cost $12,500 for each set of eight teeth. I made the first payment of $12,500 that day and began treatment on December 22. After several appointments, my temporary veneers were placed on December 29. After my visit, I paid for the bottom portion totaling $12,500. Afterward, I made several appointments that were canceled or postponed. I was told my veneers were lost in transit during the ice storm, then taken by porch pirates causing extreme frustration and stress. I agreed to continue treatment for the top eight teeth because the work had been started. However, I canceled the remaining portion of my treatment and requested a refund on February 15, 2023. Unfortunately, despite being promised a refund, I have yet to receive it, and the dentist has stopped responding to my emails. As of today, I am owed $12,500. I advise anyone looking for a dental professional to do their research and choose a reputable and trustworthy practice; this is not one! read more

While I don't usually write reviews, I felt that my experience at Bleu dentistry deserved one. I was referred to Bleu dentistry by another dentist who told me I might need a crown for a cavity. Calling and setting up an appointment was a pleasant experience. The woman on the phone was nice and they were able to get me in fairly quickly. My first issue, however, is that the office was a little hard to find. They gave barely any directions other than that their office is located above the emergency room, which was at the very bottom of their emails. My recommendation would be to make directions clearer to new patients. My second issue was the unprofessionalism of the dental assistant. My appointment was right after lunch time and it was very obvious that this woman had eaten seafood for lunch because she reeked of it. She put the heart rate monitor on me and told me to tell her when it stopped squeezing... which should have been her job. She then asks me "so why are you here?" and I told her about the previous dentist who referred me for a cavity that may need a crown. She said "where is it" and so I pointed outside my cheek to the area of the cavity, but then she asked me to point inside my mouth. So I had to shove my finger all the way in the back of my mouth to point it out to her. She put her finger in my mouth and barely even touched the tooth and said "yep that's a cavity". She didn't even use a mouth mirror to look inside my mouth. She proceeded to take ONE x-ray from ONE angle of the affected area. I wanted to trust her, but her lack of professionalism, unfriendliness, and zero curiosity about something as serious as a cavity that needed a crown truly made me feel uncomfortable. My third issue was that I waited for the Dr. Charles to come in for 40+ minutes. The same dental assistant came in once to ask if I was ok but gave me no update or apology on why I was waiting so long. My fourth issue was the environment of Bleu Dentistry. The entire time they were playing pop music fairly loud over the speakers which may seem like no big deal, but not everyone likes that music. They also had a large TV in the exam room which was playing a nature documentary when I sat down. I enjoyed it at first, but then the documentary got extremely graphic and gorey, which is not something I want to be watching when I'm already anxious at the dentist. After sitting through almost 2 full episodes (with the amount of time I waited in the exam room), I realized the show was playing through Netflix. So, I would have asked to change the show but nobody was around to even ask to change it. I tried to go on my phone but the TV was so large and 2-3 feet from your face so it was hard not to see what was happening on the screen. My fifth issue was when Dr. Charles finally came in. He apologized for the wait but was otherwise not apathetic. Similar to the dental assistant, Dr. Charles barely even looked at my affected tooth. He grabbed my cheek to open my mouth very aggressively to see the cavity. He put his fingers around the area and said "that's a cavity"! Again, no use of any dental tools for him to get a better understanding of the area... just his fingers and the one x-ray. After he talked to me for under five minutes, he declared a crown was in need and the treatment plan would be underway. He offered no additional information on how/why/when I needed the crown. I believe it is your job as a medical professional to be very thorough on what you are seeing and details of the next steps. My sixth and final issue was the pricing. After Dr. Charles left, the coordinator came in the room to explain my treatment plan and the pricing breakdown. After insurance, Bleu Dentistry quoted me $1,500 to do the crown procedure. Something didn't feel right. After my experience as I mentioned above, I felt that Dr. Charles and Bleu Dentistry was just trying to get easy money from me. While I know I truly did have a cavity, I don't think the team here truly cared about my dental health. Low and behold, I moved on to a different dentist office who provided a much better experience and, after insurance, I paid only $600 for the crown procedure. All in all, I would not recommend this practice if you are looking for a new dentist in Dallas, especially if you are someone who gets anxious at dental appointments. The overall experience was unenjoyable, the environment was uncomfortable, and the staff lacked professionalism. I do not trust these people to do anything with my teeth. Maybe I went on a bad day, but it was enough to make me steer clear of Bleu Dentistry. read more

The staff at Bleu Dentistry were beyond phenomenal! I had both my wisdom teeth taken out, which is in itself was a dreadful and long procedure. Dr. Charles and his staff made me feel at ease and informed during the whole procedure. They check in on me following the weeks after the surgery, and made sure I had all my medications to ease my healing process. I was always greeted with a friendly voice and face during my checkup visits. They never cease to amaze me how willing they were to prove the accurate information regarding my surgery. Scheduling an appointment and getting in the chair was done with ease. It wasn't until after sitting down that things began to feel uneasy. I was examined by the dentist and told that I needed a deep clean that very same day. in addition to having multiple new cavities, my gums were apparently in bad shape, something I had never heard from any other dentist up to this point. The estimate for the deep cleaning were brought to me at the chair, before receiving any treatment, and I was told I would need to return every 3 months until my gums improved. In addition, I was required to leave a deposit for my next visit. At this point, I began to feel concerned about the potential of being scammed. i left the dentist paying a fairly hefty amount for my visit and deposit for the next visit, but feeling very uneasy about what I had been told. i took the time to look over old reviews and began to find people telling a similar storyline what I had experienced. I decided to see a second dentist the next week to get another opinion. the examination from the new dentist yielded entirely different results, discrediting all I had been told at Bleu Dentistry. I was floored by the difference in the two examinations and it became clear that Bleu Dentistry was likely predatory in their attempt to secure money from their patients. i will never be returning to this office. read more

If you're new and you get xrays, overall exam, etc they try to give an all around estimate which is more like a home repair estimate. I went in for a cleaning and left with paperwork stating I needed $7.000 worth of dental work done. WHAT????? Are you kidding me? They're attitude at the end was very fake! They just added on unnecessary work and tried to convince me it was important. I went to another dentist in Highland Park and got a second opinion. I feel like most reviews are done in the heat of the moment, but I would like to preface this review by saying that I had my one & only appointment 8 months ago. I am writing a review now because I finally got the nerve to make a dentist appointment elsewhere this morning & am realizing what a scam I faced at Bleu Dentistry. After reading the reviews I see that I am not the only one to have had this issue. It is HIGH pressure sales there. I didn't even know that was something I needed to look out for at a dentist office?? I'm used to it with car & appliance shopping, but I came in for a really simple teeth cleaning... They told me I had gingivitis & receding gums & would need an excessive amount of dental work in the future, but for now I just needed a "deep laser cleaning" that wound up costing me $50. A good tip off that something wasn't right should have been when the lady at the front desk came back to my dental chair (odd?) with a price sheet...I've never even paid a copay at the dentist before so $50 for a "deep cleaning laser treatment" that I did not ask for is pretty outrageous. The dentist I went to this morning told me my gums are FINE! And NO gingivitis. So I have been stressing over a non-existent issue for the past 8 months. And I paid $0 with insurance. As it should be. If you go to this dentist, PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!!!! They made me think I had an issue that I did not actually have to get more money out of me because insurance would have covered just a regular cleaning. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! STAY AWAY!! I made an appointment for a new patient exam and general cleaning. Firstly, I was greeted well and brought into the back for my appointment with enthusiasm so I thought things were going to go well for my first time at this office. After my x-rays though, I sat in the room waiting for the dentist, Dr. Allen Charles, for more than 30 minutes before he came in. He came in and apologized and offered me free whitening without me having to say anything so that was appreciated. But here's where it goes down hill.. He takes one look at my teeth and decides and diagnoses me saying I need a gingivitis cleaning. I get regular check ups, I don't smoke or drink, and take great care of my teeth. Then he starts to probe around my mouth and says he wants me to remove my wisdom teeth as well (all 4 wisdom teeth have grown in beautifully and do not bother me), wants to add fluoride, and said I should get orthodontic aligners which all four of those things were an extra charge. After telling him that I did not want to do all of that and that I just wanted my new patient general cleaning that my insurance covers me 100% for, he told me that I couldn't refuse the gingivitis cleaning, nor can I refuse the fluoride. His reasoning was that "he was audited last week" and that he has to answer to a board who will review his diagnosis sheets and ask why he didn't perform the procedures he's recommending and that performing a general CLEANING is going to put me in an even worse position? I told him that I will sign off that I refused the gingivitis cleaning and to perform the general cleaning and that I wasn't prepared to pay anything today as I wanted what my insurance covered. He then said "if money is your concern, we can set you up on a payment plan. We don't usually do that for people." It was never about the money and that comment was the rudest thing I've heard in a while. I even told him how just 6 months ago, I did a deep clean!! His response was "then yeah, you should be in the maintaining phase but based on what I saw today, it must've gotten worse" and that I should really be getting 3 month check ups instead of 6months. He then pressured me to sign off on the plan after I told him that I didn't want to do the gingivitis cleaning and he told me it was a signature just saying that I got a copy of it and was presented this, "just for their records." Then he walks away to process the paperwork and left me there for another 15 mins. Another staff member comes and says "umm you can go now." I asked what she meant because I was under the impression that he was going to come back, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE DENTAL BIB WAS STILL AROUND MY NECK! And then another hygienist came and said they thought I didn't want to do the cleaning and to sit and hold tight while she grabs everything. She comes back and shows me the same treatment plan and bill. I told them that I wanted the general cleaning again and she said ok let me see if we can do that. Then Dr Allen came back and started explaining again the same things that he was saying and that he'd rather "do nothing than something he isn't recommending to cover himself for his license." I then took my own bib off and tried to hand it to him and he didn't take it so I placed it on the table and stood up to walk out and he kept explaining himself and asked me again if I wanted to do the gingivitis cleaning. I said no and then he starts explaining again why he would rather do that cleaning. While he was talking to me, another staff member interrupted him and asked me "so are you gonna do the cleaning?" I said no and she goes "well I can walk you out." I want to note that I was not hostile, my body language was not uninviting and that I was in fact listening to him and they treated me as if I'm being hostile. My assumption is they are used to this type of interaction. So I sat there for 2 hours out of my day, only to walk out of that office with no work having been done. Do not recommend unless you are wanting more than a general cleaning and are ok being upsold. read more

I started off going here and everything was great. Dr. Charles is a great dentist who explains everything and why and what you need done to correct problems. Got my Invisalign done through them and everything was great. The office manager at the time Hope was very professional, let me know exactly what my insurance paid and what I owed. Since they have switched office managers it has been nothing but downhill since. I was moving and told them I want to pay everything off so I don't have any issues. It's been two years and I'm still getting notices that my account is past due that I'm being sent to collections. Each time I call and figure out the problem, that my insurance didn't cover a part of it. Monica- the new office manager assured me that everything was taken care of the last time. Now TWO YEARS LATER, I get another notice that my account is 90 days past due that I'm being sent to collections. Never have I gotten a call, email or anything that I have issues once again with my account. I havnt switched insurances, phone number or email since moving so why the breakdown in communication and customer service. So frustrating that I'm still dealing with this years later. I call, leave and message, and still no reply. I have to keep calling just to get through to talk to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and hassle. read more

I had a great experience at Bleu Dentistry, but I can only speak about the basic cleaning as that is all I had done! The best part of the visit was being able to watch Netflix through these crazy, funky reflective glasses during the entire cleaning. I don't mind dentist visits, but I'm sure it would be a great distraction to those who get anxious! I knew immediately after scheduling my new patient appointment that Bleu Dentistry would be easy to work with. The receptionist on the phone was incredibly kind and helpful and made sure they took my dental discount plan and even gave me the exact quote for how much my X-rays, exam, and cleaning would be. Went in for first time cleaning and X-ray app--took 1.5hr majority of it spent waiting on dentist. Offered free whitening trays for my wait which was sweet but didn't need. Hygienist was unprofessional and inexperienced--made comments about my teeth while working with dentist and almost had me choking on toothpaste water with lack of suction during cleaning. Reviewed paperwork with front desk lady before cleaning and they wanted me to agree to $200 worth of unnecessary and non covered services--laser cleaning and fluoride wash. Found two areas that need fillings so was expecting to be asked about follow up appointment for those but instead as I was leaving they told me they'd schedule a tentative follow up appointment for whitening? Their system was down when I arrived so I had to fill out the paperwork again. They took xrays and that was my visit. The dentist came in and looked at my teeth. 2 and a half episodes of Friends later and multiple times people came in saying we are sorry we can't do anything cause our system is down. So the receptionist comes in with a list of things totaling around $1500. Seemed off considering "They cant do anything cause their system was down. I told them okay I'm fine with it. They say that they will need to reschedule to have the work done but she needed my credit card information. So I gave her my credit card information which she hand wrote down on a sheet of paper and said they would call me to schedule the appointment since there system was down. 4 days later no email or phone call. It is not very good customer service to have a person checking their account to see if any charges have been filed. I had a temporary crown lost while I was visiting Dallas and needed emergency asssisrance so I googled Dentist near me & I chose Bleu Dentistry and wow I SURE AM PLEASED THAT I DID!!! I did call a few dentist beforehand and wasn't so pleased with my encounter over the phone but BAAAAABY when I received such warm helpful person from the phone to the visit & sitting in the chair SAME DAY within 2 hours of my call the Dr was professional,warm & JUST AWESOME! I am updating this review, because I am absolutely blown away (not in a good way) in the lack of customer service. As I have stated, all of my interactions with this office have been great until recently. Somehow, my insurance didn't cover a part of my appointment expenses. Not a big deal. But, this happened in March and I just received a bill in June. Also, not a big deal. I emailed the office requesting that they break down the charges and I did not receive a response. Today (not even three weeks later) I received an email stating that my payment was 90 days past due and that my account had been referred to an outside collection agency and that I should make payment immediately. Upon speaking to the "Office Manager", Faith, I learned that this is merely a scare tactic to get those who do not pay to do so. She was rude, unprofessional, continued to talk over me, and muted the phone when I was speaking. I tried to explain to her how this system and her handling of this matter was inappropriate but she continued to talk over me and just asked if I wanted to make a payment. I will no longer be doing business with this company, which is such a shame because I genuinely do love having Dr. Charles as my dentist. Word of advice, get someone who knows how to appropriately run an office and take care of the administrative needs. read more

A. the "new patient" special was bogus and they said I needed additional services so it cost me double. B. Dr. Charles hadn't touched my teeth and she was belligerent about me paying out and signing up for the "special offer" before I left. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. If I could give negative stars I would. Please find somewhere else to go. I have never had any issues with my teeth until I went to this dentist. I went to see Dr. Allen Charles about my retainer because it was broken and I needed to just have it repaired. After spending a hour and a half there, I was told that I had 5 cavities. I was shocked. I had just seen my dentist a week prior for my 6 month cleaning. I felt nervous and pressured. A woman came into the room and tried to up sell me on everything which I found to be extremely unprofessional. I let them do the work on my teeth since I wasn't sure what else to do in the situation. They stated that four of the cavities were small but one would require a crown. How could my other dentist have missed this when they took x-rays? I left their office with a large bill and a hole in my tooth. The crown was going to cost me an arm and a leg which I found insane. Once I started to ask around, I realized that they were charging way too much for their services. I also called my previous dentist and had it out with them. They did a case study on my file with several other dentists and they all agreed that they would not have done treatment on the tooth or a crown. I decided to see a completely different dentist all together, a family recommended one, and they have been wonderful. The bite on the filling was too high first of all causing a lot of pain. Then, because Dr. Charles drilled so far into the tooth and barely anything remains, I will now have to have a root canal. I have been suffering through a lot of pain the past month. I cannot eat on that side of my mouth. I cannot drink anything cold or hot. It has been a horrible experience. If I had let him put a crown on my tooth, I would have spent a ton of month and would STILL be needing dental work done for something that didn't need to be done in the first place. I have great insurance and they chipped away at my deductible with their high prices and unnecessary treatment. Every dentist I have gone to has said that I have wonderful teeth and I have never had any problems until I went to Bleu Dentistry. I will be reporting them to the Texas Dental Board as recommended by my lawyer. read more
