Gorgeous Atlantic views :)
Lauren S.

We recently dined at the gorgeous Atlantica Restaurant (inside the Allegria Hotel) for Mother's Day brunch , and the jaw-dropping ocean views, coupled with our delicious brunch plates, made this one-of-a-kind experience worthwhile. The beach always speaks to my soul, and I love Long Beach, so I knew that the oceanic ambiance and Atlantic vistas were going to only amplify our brunch outing. (The sun-kissed water was extra blue, calm, and sparkly during the late morning hours, too!) I ordered the "Huevos Al Gusto" -- a simple -- but beautifully refined -- plate of eggs over easy, crispy and spicy breakfast potatoes, and sausage. My boyfriend ordered Huevos Rancheros that looked like a beaut of a dish, and my mom ordered breakfast tacos in pancake 'shells' that she could not stop complimenting for its sweet and savory flair. I need no convincing to come back since the ocean is always welcoming and inviting, but the restaurant atmosphere, service, and food, definitely enhanced our dining excursion as well!

Bloody Marry & Cosmo

The inside of the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The bloody mary was alright. I tasted way too much tobacco than I did with alcohol wise. I was disappointed that they were not able to serve the lunch menu because it was not 3 pm yet . The brunch menu was a very short menu. The service was kina of slow, and it took forever to get our food . Overall, it was a really pretty restaurant, and the ambiance was very relaxed and laid back.

Chicken salad wrap

Walked the boardwalk and decided to try this place for a quick lunch. We saw some of the poor reviews and avoided getting any cocktails or seafood options because of them. We personally loved the options we got -- the chicken salad wrap and strawberry salad were both delicious and perfect for what we were looking for on a hot day. The restaurant is beautiful and we were seated right away at the large windows overlooking the boardwalk and beach.

They were packed so they seated us at the last 2 seats left at the bar near the host stand. There was an acoustic singer and guitar player adding to the energetic ambience. We were handed the place mats and menus upon seating. Then it took about 15 min to order a drink. Then another 25 min before we could place our food order. The female bartender was attentive to all the parties around us, and people who came in after us seemed to be a priority. The barback finally noticed us and helped us while he was also busting out drinks. He noticed we were trying to get her attention so he stepped in kindly and took our order. We ordered the Grilled Artichokes, the Burger, and Chicken Carbonara. (Wanted the Bolognese but someone had just ordered the last one by 8pm?!) She never checked in for a second round, so we didn't bother after about 20 min we gave up. The Artichokes came out about 20 min after ordering. They plopped them in front of us, no utensils or napkins. I had to ask the barback for some. The busser seemed disgruntled a said they only had forks. Had to flag someone else for napkins, and they brought us a pile of c-fold paper towels, when they usually have cloth napkins as we noticed with patrons who came in after us. My sis-in-law and I wolf down the 4 pieces of artichokes, using our fork and hands to cut into pieces (no knife). Then another 30 min before our mains come out. Couldn't even ask anyone for a food status update, so just tried to enjoy the live music and each other's company to distract from hunger pangs. The burger and carbonara finally show and looks great. The portions were generous. Fries were a little blonde and just underdone but seasoned enough. The carbonara was delicious as well, nice and al dente. We enjoyed our food and chatted. Music was on the louder side but for a Friday night at 8ish pm, that is not uncalled for. The restaurant started to end their rush and the bar emptied out a tad, but the service did not improve. Asked for the bill and to-go containers as soon as I could flag someone bc I knew it would take awhile to get them. Of course when getting the bill things progressed speedily, so we paid and tried to get out as soon as we were done. The staff there was hot and cold. Barback was helpful and everyone else seemed "annoyed" to have to help us with simple requests that shouldn't have to be requested to begin with. Again I understand rushes happen and staff can become overwhelmed. The bar team had to service the bar and some high tops nearby plus make drinks for the rest of the restaurant, so I understand the volume was high, but again the management team should plan accordingly to make sure the diners do not have to feel the lag in the service. Food was good but left a little disappointed from the service.

The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, the perfect place for a great dinner, drinks with friends, or a night out. The food was outstanding. The service was equally impressive, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and never overbearing. On Saturday, My wife and I stopped in for a quick dinner and sat at the bar and met Jenny the bartender. Jenny was one of the nicest staff members that we've ever had. She had a great sense of humor and served delicious drinks , especially the spicy margarita which was " made with love " which was to my wife's liking. Usually I order the pizza but this time I ordered the All American Burger which consisted of LTO, secret sauce, pickles, double patty smash style, brioche bun and french fries and it was delicious and it hit the spot. I was guilty of texting pictures to my friends to tell them to check out Brix the next time they visit Long Beach . Definitely a 5 star experience

The owner and his wife are usually there working and they're both so warm and welcoming. They always take the time to stop by each table to say hello and make sure everyone's happy, which really adds a personal touch you don't find often anymore. The food is consistently amazing, one of my absolute favorites is the fried burrata with honey drizzle (trust me, it's a must-try!). The cheeseburger, pasta dishes, and chicken are all incredible -- everything I've had has been a solid 10/10. You can really tell they put care into every detail, from presentation to flavor. Whether you're coming for a date night, dinner with friends, or just a nice meal out, Haviland Kitchen & Bar never disappoints. It's one of those local gems you'll keep coming back to. Thank you for the outstanding service, each and every time.

The servers were all super sweet, and the hostess' did their best to accommodate our group. We ordered two drinks-Cucumber Cooler and the Indian Summer. The Cucumber Cooler was pretty refreshing and reminded me a lot of a mojito. The Indian Summer, however, was extremely tangy and tart, so I wasn't the biggest fan. For our food, we got a Charcuterie Board, Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, Smokehouse Burger, and Cedar-Plank Salmon. We honestly devoured the Charcuterie Board as soon as it was placed down in front of us. I loved the toast paired with the meats, cheese, and fig. The Smokehouse Burger is honestly so filling. I was pretty full from a quarter of the burger, because it was so packed with things (onion rings, cheese, patty, etc.). The fries are also a classic. The rigatoni was also pretty good; it's your classic vodka sauce. As for the salmon, I was a HUGE fan. The maple-bourbon glaze on the salmon gave it a nice smoky, savory, and sweet flavor that paired amazingly with the garlic herb rice. I could honestly eat this for days. Overall, the food, service, and vibe were pretty nice. I see why so many Long Beach natives recommend this spot. We were also seated in their half indoor/half outdoor area, and the weather was beautiful that day, so it was really nice to experience. Highly recommend coming here !
