These windows are huge, and had not been replaced since the mill was converted to condos in the '80's. I did go out and get 3 quotes from 3 different vendors, but Seacoast was the best quote, the most honest, wonderful people, and they bent over backwards to help. It was a dirty, complicated project made more complex by the difficulties of the tariff war. John was tireless in tracking down the Harvey windows and special trim that had to match the custom exterior trim color of the other existing windows in the building. John kept me updated regularly, and accommodated every wish the condo associated made concerning schedule and safety in the common areas. We reached out a few times with no response and actually worried something had happened to him but then figured someone would have contacted us...I sent a message via Venmo and he texted my husband and said 'a few weeks' ....nothing. I called Harvey and learned an order was never placed for the last 5 windows. $1800 was a significant enough amount of money for me to start emailing, calling, texting on the regular. Yesterday (6/21/22) I had some time to think about this. I sent my weekly text and realized it didn't say delivered like in the past. BLOCKED. I called Harvey again for help and learned contractors are being managed by a different firm. I couldn't find a phone number for them but emailed them and cc'd Steve. I also had 12 friends and family text him with the same note I had been sending him weekly for months Hey Steve - it's MJ O'Connor (address) -I've been messaging you about the $1800 deposit I sent you over a year ago for the last few replacement windows. At this point we would just like our $1800 back through Venmo - if you have any questions please call or text me here or call Jimmy at xxx-xxx-xxx - thanks I also included that I would be filing a police report in the morning if the $1800 was refunded immediately. It's now mid-November, and not only are the windows still not installed, but the installation date was just pushed again to mid-December--almost five months after signing. We specifically reviewed the timeline because we wanted this done before it gets cold. We have booked dog daycare which has to be rescheduled, it affects our schedules, plans, and will massively impact our work, which is WFH. The measuring process was chaotic. The person sent to measure always gave last-minute notice and had to come out multiple times because they kept miscounting the number of windows--always short by one. Communication throughout this process has been terrible. You have to constantly follow up for updates; Zen never reaches out proactively or takes ownership of delays. Every update comes only after you chase them. When we brought up these issues, the company's response was to blame the original sales rep, who is "no longer with them." Convenient excuse, but the timeline and promises were in writing. Zen has taken no accountability for the misinformation or poor service. Yes, they may be cheaper than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for--unreliable timelines, lack of professionalism, and customer service that's downright egregious. Buyer beware!

The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done.
