Completely disappointed in Atlantic Moving Company. Scheduled a move for my daughter this weekend. The customer service at the time of booking was excellent. Received a couple of check in calls to make sure we were ready for the move and someone called the day before the scheduled move as promised. Had a two-day window, so the move was scheduled for today with a time frame of 1-4 for the truck to arrive. We never received a call today about the anticipated time for arrival. Made several calls to Atlantic, well, the answering service, I finally received a text at 4:25 (25 minutes after the window ended) that the move they had in the morning was much larger than expected and the new window for the truck to arrive was 5-8 pm. The movers should have called someone to get the message to us that our pick-up window would be missed. As experienced movers, they would have known, very early in the day, that they would miss the pick-up time for our daughter's move. Like I said, I called several times with no reply. When I received the text (which in my opinion, was a cop-out), I was incensed, l called the answering service asking to get a message to whomever sent the text, letting them know a text wasn't satisfactory and I required someone to call me. FINALLY, I got a call - two hours after I first starting inquiring about when to expect to moving truck. He was very apologetic, but there was little he could say to make things right. I did get a different phone number if I needed to make contact, I just hope it's a number where someone could actually help me if something else comes up. I'm not sure if they will show. I don't have much confidence in Atlantic at this point. We are out the money for a cancelled hotel reservation, because she was going to drive half the distance and they can't hold a reservation for a later than a midnight arrival and we have to pay for another reservation. read more

Trying to find a moving company leaving California on short notice was not easy. I finally got in contact with Atlantic Moving. They made the process extremely easy and we're able to accommodate my needs. I could only reserve the elevator In my building for 5 hours and they made it happen without an issue. All of my furniture was delivered intact and they set up my new home beautifully .I would highly recommend them to anyone that's planning to move . Try and not wait until the last minute like I did! Movers arrived at the latest possible time, charged me $600 more than the original quote, and now I've been waiting 4 weeks for them to arrive with my items, not once have they reached out to give me an update. My wife and I just used Atlantic Moving Co. for our recent move from TN to MD. First off, this is not a moving company, they are a moving broker and will contract your move out to a small, random moving company they partner with(who you will most likely not be able to verify who that company is). For those that didn't know that, like us, now you know. Secondly, these guys will tell you what you wanna hear to get your deposit ,then once you have paid, they will not answer or return your phone calls after that. Marc Blum who you will most likely speak with, did exactly that. was the nicest guy ever until we paid our deposit, tried to call him back to ask follow up questions/concerns, no answer. For Example, he told us a company called "Move Us" out of TN would actually be moving our stuff, just to find out 2 days before we moved, it was a completely different company out of MD. The biggest reason for this 2 star review is what happened 6 days before our move...Richard from "Quality Assurance" calls my wife to go over final inventory. That conversation results in her paying him an extra $600 over the original estimate on the spot due to "increased cubic sq. feet". Unfortunately, he conned us. After we discussed it more, the additional $600 didn't make sense to us so we tried to get back in touch with the team..no answers. Richard finally called us back after 3 days and many follow up texts and calls..when asked to explain the increase on paper, His literal excuse was "its a complicated algorithm I can't show you." I'm sorry but that's one of the biggest bs excuses I've ever heard(I hope you read this Richard bc YOU SUCK). What really frustrates me is he got away with it bc it was too late to do anything at that point. My advice and takeaway from this experience is 1) don't use these guys, and 2) plan ahead enough to where you can hire a big moving company who actually does the moving so you don't have to deal with shady brokerage business. read more

Would give 0 if You could spend your money somewhere else do it.This week my roommate and me requested an estimate for our belongings the company was very quick about the options they had and that they were giving us a fair price, but as soon as we got the contract we were charged an extra two hundred dollars for a bulking fee (for my motorcycle which they knew about from the original estimate). When we asked the company if they charged anything for the motorcycle they said they don't, but other companies do and the representative that created our contract made a mistake and they were not able to fix his mistake. The quality assurance representative said that there was nothing to do and that the employee was terminated right after our contract was made. Super convenient by the way. The way they figure out the cubic feet of the truck is by measuring the height of the truck and the width of about 5 ft. They bid the job out to the lowest bidder and the moving company charges their own fare. They sold our contract to this 3rd party company and the 3rd party company was charging an extra thousand dollars to bring the motorcycle and said they couldn't insure it if anything happened during transit. Wouldn't recommend this company for future references. read more

This is not a moving company. You must know this because if you have problems with your moving company, as I did, there is no recourse with Atlantic Moving Co. The customer service was great with Atlantic but I am not quite sure what I paid $1,000 because when the moving company showed up (Coach Moving - HORRIBLE) they charged me more because they came in a SEMI to an apartment building, they left my crushed box outside!, part of my BIKE was found on the ground!, the mover put together my chair wrongly, they didn't let me count the boxes before I signed that I received everything (I have NO idea if I did receive all of my boxes), they threw boxes clearly marked FRAGILE, talked on the phone the entire time, and shoved the customer feedback form in my face and told me I had to fill it out in front of them. At that point, I demanded they leave my apartment. It was an utter, scary, awful shitshow. Do the opposite of everything I did to move. read more

Move was outsourced to an unreliable and unprofessional company. My move was brokered out by Atlantic and my experience was horrible. I was not informed of this, so did not have any ability to evaluate who would be moving my furniture. Atlantic used a company in Ohio called S&M Relo LLC. On the day of the move, S&M told me that the quote from Atlantic would not be honored (S&M charged my almost double the original quote). Based on Atlantic's quote and my detailed analysis of the furniture dimensions, the original quote seemed reasonable. I had no alternatives on the day of move, so paid S&M. S&M lost furniture and damaged other. They have been absolutely non responsive to mu communications. Atlantic has not provided any assistance to me on the addressing the overcharging, nor in recovery of my furniture. You should be AWARE that Atlantic brokers or outsources their moves (and in my case takes no responsibility). Ask in advance if and who Atlantic brokers their moves with, and then check the performance fairness and reliablity of that company before proceeding read more

As stated in other reviews. All they do is rip you off and lie. When I was booking, I even asked if they were a broker and the salesman told me NO. LIE. LIE. LIE. They are a broker and they basically use anyone out there that say they are a mover. The actual mover was even worse. Never answered phone or texts or email. Company, Victory Movers of Raleigh NC, doesn't even have their voicemail set up. Sales person told me that if I came in under what they were estimating for cubic feet, then I would pay less. When the mover showed up, he told me if I came in under, the fee does NOT get reduced. The fee only increases if I go over. Ripoff. Sales person told me everything would be wrapped in moving blankets. Nope. They wrapped everything in cardboard with tons of tape. They told me I would probably get my stuff 1-3 days after pickup, but no more than 7 days. It took 15 days. This company should be shut down. They misrepresent, lie, take your money and then forget you exist. read more

Do not use these people! They stole 1548 dollars from me as a deposit on a move that they had no intention of completing. After they received the deposit I made 6 telephone calls before reaching an actual person. I was supposed to have heard from the "local" movers within 24 hours. Crickets. I then received a telephone call from someone named Bruce who said these people are criminals and to try to stop payment on the check. I immediately hung up but it was too late. I then told Atlantic to cancel move through voicemail, text, and email and that I wanted my money back. I then rented a UHaul. I was told by the UHaul agent that there were only 2 movers in the area (its a very small area) and they share jobs. He had not heard of any moves to Texas. Now I have been informed by these criminals at Atlantic that used my deposit to set up the move and in the next breath she informed me I could use my deposit in the next year for another move. Are you freakin kidding me??? I made that money by saving lives and this idiot thinks I don't know gaslighting when I hear it???? I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
