We really enjoy the Atlantic Hotel and have been coming here for years on our annual vacations to…read moreSelbyville, DE. We love the craft cocktails and the charm of the historic building. We're definitely creatures of habit. Our latest visit was second to none. We were lucky enough to score seats at the bar for our party of seven. Taylor, our bartender, was fabulous. She was incredibly personable. She made so many great suggestions and recommendations, both for food/drink at the Atlantic Hotel in addition to other potential activities for us in the area once she learned we were here on vacation. The drinks she made were also on point. My Bloody Mary was one of the best I've had. The Orange Crushes were a hit between my mom and aunts who are always on the hunt for great Crushes. Oranges were juiced fresh for Crushes for each individual order which is great to see (not every place we've been does this). My wife loved her Mojito, and my cousins' drinks (Prickly Pear Margarita & Pear Martini) tasted every bit as good as they looked. I also thought it was very considerate of the bartender to serve the extra Pear Martini in a carafe that was resting in an ice filled glass to keep it chilled without watering it down. We also ordered food: Salmon BLT, Crabby Chicken Pretzel Club, Crab Cake Sandwich, Sriracha Dusted Wings, Crab Dip, Eggplant Tower. There were no complaints about the food, in fact, everyone pretty much loved what they ordered. The menu is unique and original containing some items you won't find on your typical menu. Each vacation isn't complete without a trip to Berlin which includes drinks and, at the very least, appetizers at the Atlantic Hotel. This visit did not disappoint and reinforced all of the reasons why it's part of our vacation plans; good food, expertly crafted cocktails, fantastic service, and historic charm. This was my wife's first experience and it is at the top of her list for bar/restaurants we've visited.

BEWARE racism, bigotry, homophobia, awkward, traumatic moments ahead if you book with Jan and Jim…read more My partner and I stayed here last Summer and made the mistake to think this would be a friendly b&b (we had known very few were we actually ever feel truly welcome) but thought to give it a chance during my sister's birthday weekend. Upon checking in, Jan eyed us up and down and did not know what to make of two feminine women who didn't seem to just be friends, let alone an inter-racial couple (she would later tell us how open she was and even wanted to someday buy a purple Polka dotted bus and park it outside her church just to show how "accepting" she was...yes, like you, we do not know what that means either). Please keep in mind, that the entire time we spent on this porch with her she refused to make eye contact with my partner, who is a woman of color (she would continue to lean on her racist, gross belief that the white woman in the relationship must be the one paying for everything). Fast forward to the morning, where we would get knocks on our door for breakfast, jolted out of bed by her telling us we must get up. We were worried what would occur if we didn't join the other guests for her breakfast. We joined everyone in the dining room, where Jan stood over each guest and would ask if you didn't finish your plate "if you did not like it? No appetite?" Awkward to say the least especially when this was not a relative who you had to politely deal with. During the breakfast, we would hear off conversations from Jan's sermon (yes you read that right) of wanting to be like the English, her pride of Daughters of the Revolution and how she wished her family had come over on the Mayflower to even talks of how amazing the 13 colonies were and how pure New England blood lines are and her love of being a devote White Anglo Saxon Christian. Meanwhile her husband, Jim stood behind her looking rather afraid and traumatized (victim we presume and he isn't allowed to leave the kitchen). She even gave the group a question and answer of how each couple met but with no surprise, stopped at us, smiled weirdly and then went to the next couple. At the end of the weekend, we checked out as early as we could and never looked back again. Do yourself a favor, and check out other spots in Berlin; this one is just not worth it.

Including inside the waterpark, the main saloon and restaurant, and other ice cream trucks and treats throughout. There is an area where you can dock a boat if you have one... And you can walk along the pier and go fishing. Included in your stay is the waterpark and pool. There is a cowboy show - shoot out happens at 7 and Native American cultural show you can attend at 2 or 5, daily I believe. We attended the Native American show, which is awesome. It is family run, and we learned some words as well as watch traditional dances. You could also throw the hatchet, do archery or get your hair braided in the same area. In addition to that they have a zip line and ropes course, as well as mini golf, that you can pay separately for. My husband and I did the ropes course which was challenging but really a lot of fun! There are golf carts you can rent for $100 a day to get around the property. There are endless things to do and each day we stayed we did something different. Great weekend. Check it out!

My son requests it every year and talk about it for weeks before we go and after. What's so great about it? It is set up like a real Wild West town (and Indian village) they have performances with shoot outs (using blanks) and activities for kids (ax throwing, mining for gold, mechanical bull riding, shooting bow and arrows. And my son (and now daughter's). Favorite part....running around the town shooting at kids with cap guns while they shoot back. This year the actors even stayed around and got into to some pretend gun fits w the kids (would fall over dead as kids shot at them) My kids could have played there all night...they were having the time of their lives This year we went to the water park for the first time and that was a lot of fun too. Getting into frontier town itself is free. But you kind of need to buy your kid a cap gun (or bring one!) and all the activities cost some money. But in my opinion it is a very unique experience you can't get anywhere else. You can't bring coolers or outside food but they do have good, some fun kid drinks, and alcoholic beverages for the grown ups. For people that like camping they also have cabins and campgrounds there....and they run a shuttle to Ocean City which is only 15 miles away. We have never done the camping. We actually usually stay in Rehoboth Bach (an hour away) and drove there for the day (my kids love it that much) OR hit it on our way home. Frontier town has been such a special part of our kid's beach memory making every year! P.S they also have Go Ape and Mini Golf there too.

Contacting them about this they admitted they canceled the reservation and requested I pay 3 times the price for a new reservation for the same dates, or they would simply refund my original payment. I saw a couple other reviews where people had the same exact thing happen to them at this hotel. Do not stay here, too many better/nicer hotels closer to the boardwalk which also honor their confirmed reservations. Dear James, Thank you for choosing the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham. We are sorry to hear about your recent experience and admit we canceled your reservation in our system for unknown reasons. Unfortunately, we are not able to reinstate the cancelled reservation. Although, we can make a new reservation at your request. We value the opinions of our guests and evaluate each message, suggestion, and comment to find out how we can improve our service. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with me. I look forward to serving you in the future. Sincerely, Kimberly D. The drawers were filthy so we had to wash all of the silverware before using them. we also washed the dishes and glasses as well since the the house wasnot really cleaned. there was a dirty diaper and bloody towel in a bedroom drawer. another bedroom had a nest of wasps which was dealt with during the night while a child was asleep . another shower almost scolded someone, who thought she had to go to the hospital. The dishwasher did work because the gasket fell out. the BBQ hasn't been cleaned in years, the outd fire pit couldn't be used, and we were afraid to use the indoor fireplace for fear of it nor working and we'd have an accident. because of that we had to throw out food. there were so many flys in the house it was rediculous. we tried contacting someone so many times all we go was redundant texts back. I called and finally someone called me back so someone finally came and fixed the TVS and repaired the window. We're asking for a full refund for this trip considering all of the aggravation we had and the complete lack of concern from the owner and management. If they don't then we'll take legal action. we have plenty of evidence. I'll post the pictures later.
