I don't know if there's enough room to list the amount of problems we had last week. we arrived monday morning, only a few rooms had a TV but none in the house worked. The drawers were filthy so we had to wash all of the silverware before using them. we also washed the dishes and glasses as well since the the house wasnot really cleaned. there was a dirty diaper and bloody towel in a bedroom drawer. another bedroom had a nest of wasps which was dealt with during the night while a child was asleep . another shower almost scolded someone, who thought she had to go to the hospital. The dishwasher did work because the gasket fell out. the BBQ hasn't been cleaned in years, the outd fire pit couldn't be used, and we were afraid to use the indoor fireplace for fear of it nor working and we'd have an accident. because of that we had to throw out food. there were so many flys in the house it was rediculous. we tried contacting someone so many times all we go was redundant texts back. I called and finally someone called me back so someone finally came and fixed the TVS and repaired the window. We're asking for a full refund for this trip considering all of the aggravation we had and the complete lack of concern from the owner and management. If they don't then we'll take legal action. we have plenty of evidence. I'll post the pictures later. read more

Place was perfect ! Had our wedding here. Used the pool area for cocktail hour. Outback for dinner and the side parking space where the lights are at in the back of the drive way for dancing. With the bar service right in between. The pool was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend! And will most likely be going back next year to rent for a week. So worth the price and you get another house as well. I'm telling you now, any bad review you see is just not true. I'm 29 years old and we love to have a good time. This past weekend a group of friends and myself went on a weekend getaway to Brooklyn Estates in Berlin, MD. We were looking forward to having a great time, BUT we didn't. Online this place is beautiful but in reality, it was bug infested, dirty and it had rats. RAT'S!!!!! The house had dozens of flies that multiplied day to day. The bedroom in the pool house was not an option, far from everyone in the group. Brooklyn Estate is misleading. The house was DARK. Unfortunately, I believe it's a setup for those who have no other option but to deal with the false accommodations. I couldn't believe my eyes. I expect at least a nice, CLEAN and comfortable place for the amount of money we paid. In my opinion,​ the staff was very unprofessional and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Beautiful property. Needs updated and pest control. There were flies and roaches in the kitchen. Oven doesn't work. Only 1 channel working on TV in guest room. House wasn't clean. We made the best of it and had a good time. read more

Upon arrival we noticed dead roaches on the kitchen floor , dirty floors , dirty sheets in one of the rooms and a fly infestation. Flies were everywhere and contaminated our food , we had to dispose of a lot of food and desserts due to the overwhelming amount of flies. For the listing to have all of those house rules you can tell they're not doing their job on their end as far as walking through the property to ensure cleanliness and readiness for the next guest. The property is beautiful to the eye but only on the outside. The place needs a lot of maintenance and a very deep cleaning. The pool and hot tub were filled with debris , bugs and other items which made it unswimminable. My guest had to go out and purchase things in order to clean the pool in order to use the pool , which is the reason we booked the place. Also they charge a hefty cleaning fee , yet we arrived to a dirty house. Not to mention it was 93° inside the house and the air conditioner ONLY worked on the 1st level which only had one usable bedroom for guest. It was so hot upstairs that all of us had to pile up together to sleep downstairs. It was very uncomfortable and defended the purpose of us booking such a large property. My grand parents were uncomfortable and had to go stay at a hotel 25 minutes away due to health conditions. Staff / representative ESPECIALLY Allyson was very rude and dismissive towards our complaints. She isn't hospitable at all. Very nasty and someone I'd never want to interact with again. She shouldn't be in this line of work if she isn't passionate about it. I'll never stay here again. I was hoping this place would be better than what reviews said but it's the exact same. We just left this property from 6/23-6/26. The Brooklyn Estate is the poorest excuse for a rental property that I've ever seen. The front exterior of the home is nice, but the rest is lacking greatly. We were greeted by filthy and broken pool/patio furniture, an empty beer can, and a broken light fixture hanging on by wires on the patio/pool area. Once inside, the house was okay at first glance. After walking through, we discovered roaches, broken toilet, broken electrical sockets that didn't work, the A/C did not work properly (we were unable to control the thermostat at all and it was hot/muggy), broken chairs in the game room (which wasn't inviting), the shower temperature in the master bedroom went from hot to scalding, and poor design for the other showers with shower jets that sprayed directly out of the shower onto the floor. The fifth bedroom was in the room off of the pool. As soon as we unlocked the room, we were blown back from the extremely strong smell of chlorine. This made the bedroom unusable. There was no way anyone was sleeping in that unsafe environment. One night as we sat by the pool, a giant rat ran across the patio, which forced us back in the house. Roaches ran across guests in bed, forcing several to leave at 3:30 a.m. Disgusting! read more
