Kyle greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained my situation and he could see in the system that my order was pending. He and his manager couldn't clear it so he had their cancellation specialists call me and we cleared it in minutes. He then ran me through purchasing a new line and phone and could give me the cost difference immediately. It was a little sketchy walking in because we did not expect the store to be so small and there were no customers on a Saturday afternoon. There were not many products either. The man helping us gave us an issue because of our "sudden" switch for phone plans. He also asked for a physical copy of our social security card and previous W2, which I did not think we had to show to get a new phone plan. He called someone on their phone and then she gave us an issue about it, so we just ended up walking out. I'm glad we did because we reached out to another larger Verizon store and they said we definitely should not be giving them our social security card and W2 form. Do not go here for anything!

Add-ons like hotspot were turned on despite me explicitly declining them, and my account shows the "free" phone is not free and must be paid off. My first bill was higher than expected and I'm still working with support to fix charges that shouldn't be there. I recommend getting every detail in writing (plan, features, promotions, and device credits) before you sign--because what I was told in-store didn't match what I was billed.

All I needed was a SIM card and some assistance getting the phone to work on a workday. Manager and employees were dismissive, unhelpful and rude. They acted bothered with an attitude the MOMENT I walked in the store / I calmly explained that my phone was being ported to Verizon and something had happened and made my phone not work during a work day. They could not have cared any less about my predicament nor took any interest in solving it. The lady I spoke to at the store told me to "call Verizon" - which I did from the store. When Verizon tech support got on the phone - they asked me to hand the phone to the representative in the store so they could explain the error the store said it was seeing. The woman actually told me she couldnt talk to Verizon tech support and that she knew nothing about my account. THE STORE ACTUALLY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT TALK TO THEIR OWN COMPANY TECH SUPPORT. I walked out while still talking to the Verizon tech support person on the phone - and drove to the the Verizon store in Exton at: 146 Eagleview Boulevard, Exton, PA, 19341 The manager John immediately interfaced with the Verizon tech support person (who stayed with me on the phone during the entire drive over) and immediately figured out how to solve the problem and my phone was back on. I recommend going to the Exton Verizon store and asking for John and avoiding the Downingtown store completely. I almost left Verizon and went back to T-Mobile over this. Tech support on the phone and John in the Exton store saved a customer with 5 lines. And he mae a sale for a new phone while at it.
