I was trying to order a new phone & line online and for some reason could never see what the actual difference was in my bill so I popped into this store. Kyle greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained my situation and he could see in the system that my order was pending. He and his manager couldn't clear it so he had their cancellation specialists call me and we cleared it in minutes. He then ran me through purchasing a new line and phone and could give me the cost difference immediately. Customer service was good, employees were nice and made upgrading my phone and adding a line quick and easy. However and I mean a BIG However, when receiving my first couple of bills I noticed a SUBSTANTIAL increase in my plan. The employees dealing with my plan added a bunch of "features" that I did not approve of and these increased my bill by well over two times the original amount. I waited an hour to get a new phone today. They weren't that busy but I guess they are chit-chatty with their customers, which I guess is a positive once you are served? The manager mostly sat playing games on his phone the whole time. Apparently his job is just to check people in. 98% idle. When I finally got to speak to someone, my rep was friendly but told me they were now only offering half the rebate money in the store that they were online. After waiting an hour, I left within two minutes of talking to the rep, went home and got twice as good a deal online. One of the best retail experiences I've ever had. Saw online (remember, companies always want you to "do it online yourself"), I could upgrade from my iPhone X to a new XS for next to nothing...and be back in warranty. Sign me up. Needed to ask a few more times "should I get the big one this time?" I travel 24/7, and would always rather do things in person than "order it yourself". Made a deal by phone with Verizon support, originally. Decided to drive to Delaware from Philly, quick and easy, for this store. Met Ish...he was the BEST. Told me best way to upgrade with my "phone deal only" and get it in store live time, and was endlessly patient & helpful with the long call process. Helpful, creative, and a great deal. Knew every step of every combination, and I'm considering a hot spot still, because of him. Felt bad I didn't buy any other products, but will come back to this store anytime. I currently have two accounts with Verizon and for some reason since acquiring my second account, I cannot login to either account. I've been trying to make contact with a Verizon representative for about seven months now, and still unable to speak with anyone. I even had a Verizon solicitor come to the home and try to sell me more services I informed them of my struggles, he took my number said he would have someone call me or he would call me back within 24 hours I have not seen or heard from anyone and I still cannot make contact with a live person for the problems that I'm having. There's not a lot of seating. It's an awful experience to come in with a toddler. All the merchandise is to the floor which means the kiddos grab it all. Most importantly, the employees are rude, uninterested, disengaged and misleading. I've had to go there 4 times in the last month due to misinformation from sales reps and hardware issues. The three people I was working with all act like you're wasting their time by asking questions and trying to understand your plan, their programs and your own phone. It was one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had and 2nd worst only to the Verizon store in Ocean City MD at the outlet location. The staff is pleasant enough when selling the products but become useless at problem-solving when we experienced not receiving said paid for the product!! I have been waiting for over a week for a new phone that was promised to be delivered within 2 days of purchase. When I went back to the store, a young man who has no training in customer service told me to call a number on a resource sheet. He neglected to tell me that the customer service dept is only open during work hours M-F. Here I am at the store on a Saturday??!! And when my husband started to loudly complain about the lack of compassion for our situation, the store associate accused him of "coming toward him in an aggressive manner" and order the younger associate to back up. They are trained to call people "aggressive" knowing that the term is a reasonable defense but not trained to deal with a frustrated customer. Unfortunately, Verizon is the most reliable phone service in the marketplace, or else I would take my commercial account to another company.....I won't buy anything but as is necessary. If there was an option to not give any stars I would. I had left my phone at home (in Delaware) when I was traveling and was due for an upgrade, so I upgraded my phone out of state. I was advised by the Verizon salesperson at the location I purchased my upgrade to go to a Verizon store once I got home to trade in my old phone. I went to this Verizon with my old phone, and was advised by the salesperson that my phone had been purchased from a Verizon retailer (Victra owned), and that this Verizon could not accept my trade-in. I had a feeling this would be the case, so I asked the salesperson where the closest store was to be able to trade in my phone for the full value I was supposed to receive for my mint condition trade-in. Rather than looking up the location of the other store, she completed the process to trade in my phone without my permission and then told me I had to go to Victra and they had to fill out a form so I could get the full value back. She told me it was a "mistake" that couldn't be undone and she traded in the "wrong" device. I only had one device. She then wrote down some information for me to give the other Verizon store about my account for them to do the steps to get my full trade-in value. I then went to the Victra location, and the employees were wonderful and VERY helpful, however they told me they don't have access to the information to complete the process to trade in my phone and needed the physical phone (information the Verizon employee at Concord Pike should have known if she was competent). They also informed me that the form the salesperson at the Concord Pike was referring to needs to be completed by her since she did the trade in (another thing she should have known, especially if she knew "so much" about the form and process). Now I'm out a phone, and $400 in trade-in value, as well as the 4 hours I spent at the Victra Verizon trying to get this situation unsuccessfully rectified. read more

Update: This store has still done absolutely nothing to positively address the deceitful and unfair service I received from them. A rep from the store indicated to me through Yelp that the manager would begin an "internal investigation" of the matter, yet when I contacted the rep a week later to follow up, she said that they would not be able to reveal any results of this "internal investigation". What an absolutely flagrant and pathetic excuse for a response this all was, not to mention total waste of my time. I've taken to writing a complaint about my extremely poor customer service experience and the store's shady business practices to their corporate office in any case. I've been here a bunch of times for different purposes. Sometimes for a new phone, sometimes to clear up a bill. Whatev. Despite the fact that the place is always mobbed, the staff does a pretty good job of working through the 'queue'. I feel like the service is good despite the fact that the staff always appear over worked. If anything - that's my biggest complaint - I always feel like I should apologize to the staff for being 'that next guy'. read more

I went to hand in my trade-in after I had worked with customer service to find a store that I could drop my phone at and of course I go in there and the manager absolutely does not want to help me. He tells me that they only do sales there and they won't help me connect with what was noted on my account through customer service and then basically gives my phone back because he says that he's not gonna do this with me today. he then also mocked me when I said, I would call customer service to pull up my account and he laughed and said that no one would answer my call because they are just too busy with Black Friday sales and basically knew that I was just in a no win situation. The way he spoke to me as a customer I will never go in that store again and wanted to share this so others can avoid going there as well. This location specifically only cares about sales and do not care about customers and I would read the fine print on anything you buy from them because there's a 99% chance they are trying to screw you. Friendly representative but have been waiting 15 minutes for info on a replacement phone because "system is down". Seems like coming into a store only to wait around because their IT system isn't working is woefully outdated. Update: needed to back up old phone before upgrading. After leaving the phone for an hour at the Verizon store the backup was only 60% complete. So we took it back home, where the backup finished in 7 minutes. Seriously, how can the WiFi at the Verizon store be that bad. So now we're back for our third time today... and waiting in line again. read more

If I could give them a negative -3 stars , I would. the "so called manager-Toni" needs to be re-trained. I went into the store to show him that my phone "protective shield" (that they placed on the phone ) had bubbles on it. I couldn't operate (effectively ) my emails and messages. Instead of checking on the date when I purchased the shield and noticing that his employee placed it on in correct, he began to tell me that I must have had the shield lifted and place back on, had it in the shower etc. I stated to him multiple times that I had not done any of the above. I have lived in that are for over 30 years and a woman 50+. This young man (Toni- "the store supervisor ")was rude, disrespectful and demeaning. Verizon, maybe you should close this store, I would rather work with a robot instead of that man. He referred me to go to the Christiana Mall to get help. I came into the store yesterday, shattered phone screen, completely destroyed. I was pretty stressed and irritated. I had no way to access anything. Eric Reid was the salesman who helped me. He was wonderful. I've never had a more pleasant experience with a broken phone! I ended up getting the new iPhone 6 and an iPad mini. Eric explained all the different options I had in a way that was very easy for me to understand. He also helped me find some high quality cases for both so that I won't be breaking these ones anytime soon. I highly recommend him and this location! read more

I did not want to give any stars but could not submit this review without one. We were treated extremely rudely and did not have an opportunity to go inside and shop. We had scheduled our appointment online when I clearly stated both my husband and I would be buying phones. We showed up on time, wearing masks. A woman came outside asking my name and she found us on the list. Then a man rushed out, nastily asking," What do you want?" He was beyond rude. I explained we had an appointment to purchase phones. He would not let us in, even though no other customers were in the store. He told us only one customer at a time is allowed in the store. It was cold outside, already dark and I suppose he expected one of us to wait in the car and the other one come afterward? So ridiculous! What if a parent showed up with a child? Would they expect the child to wait in the car or the parent to leave, find a baby sitter and return?? If this is a real rule, when they confirmed the appointment they should have stated the rule so we could be prepared. They were completely discourteous in the handling of this matter. I made special work arrangements so I could make the Verizon appointment. Since then I have learned of others who were completely dissatisfied with their experiences here. We will never attempt to shop here again and I recommend you find another Verizon store or go down Concord Pike to Best Buy where we bought our phones. At Best Buy, we had a very pleasant experience and the employees were very helpful. I can only say this Verizon store needs new staff who are competent and behave courteously. Terrible customer service. The two employees were very inefficient. They were socializing/chatting with people who were not even there to buy anything. The sales associates did not acknowledge us at all, we were there to buy 4 iphone 5s for the family. A few other groups walked in and out waiting for the sales associates to get "done" (socializing) with the previous people. Guess salesmanship isn't a condition for employment. But since it was the manager smoking his cigarette and giving me a smug attitude, it makes sense. I will not be back. We would warn you to be very careful when you make a purchase or obtain assistance for a problem with your cell phone. Some sales reps are not detailed people and add coverage options for your device to your Verizon Wireless plan without your permission or knowledge. This has happened twice at this particular store. The second time was this week. After we received an email thanking us for adding a coverage that we had not requested, we had to return to the store to have it removed so that we are not billed monthly for it. It seems that the manager at this store needs to do some re-training. read more

Visited this Verizon location on Thursday afternoon to make some changes to my plan. I was very hesitant to visit this location due to a few bad experiences but decided to take another chance. Aisha greeted me and was ready to help. She was very helpful in making the changes I needed to my plan. She also inquired about my cell phone plan and after some discussing she found a phone that would fit my needs and would also save me around $30 a month while consolidating all plans to one provider. Tina, a manager, was also very responsive and attentive to the entire process along with being very helpful. My biggest obstacle was I did not want to loose my text messages and another gentleman, I forgot his name maybe it was Dave?, was very helpful and spent over a hour working with Aisha getting all my text from my current phone onto my new phone. Thanks to the great team at Verizon I have a great new phone and am spending less each month for my mobile devices. read more
