Let me state that this first off is NOT a payed review. My wife and I walked in and noticed that this place looked very homey. We paid and we're seated, the food selection was very ample. The quality of the food was pretty good not great but for the price not bad. However the service and management were excellent! They were attentive to all our needs and the host Chico and the manager Cole were awesome. Our waitress was on it as well. We will be going back again. 2 weeks ago NEW I took my 2 grandson's there for lunch a total waste of my time energy & money $41.00 b/c after driving 45min. To get there everything was cold or at best room temperature. PSA..don't let the steam you see coming from the bar when u enter fool u b/c u will pay before u find out. And along with not being able to enjoy what was suppose to be the hot food we couldn't eat the Salad the fruit or the Hibachi b/c the flies and not fruit flies but actual big flies were landing and eating on all of that but if u don't mind eating cold food and eating behind flies then this is the place for u. I used to love this Buffet. It is scary! I wish I had walked through before I paid. Went 7 o'clock on a Monday. The most disconcerting thing they had going on was these weird cereal dispensers all over the place, maybe 30 of them total. Could not tell what was inside of them. In fact nothing was labeled on the Buffet whatsoever. The food was sporadic. There was about four pieces of quite a few things. The heat level was mixed by the time I got the food to the table a lot of it was already cold rendering it inedible. Somethings were a hit. Love the crab Rangoon, lo mein, and there was some dark meat darkly coated chicken that was good. Couldn't tell you what it was because once again no label. Our family threw a penny in the fountain and prayed that we would be well come tomorrow and not get sick overnight. It was that scary. Only half of the buffet counters have food. Limited sushi selection. Very small number of cake plates available in the fridge. I appreciate that the ribs are still juicy and better cooked compared to other Asian buffet restaurants. People have really unreasonable expectations of a $10 buffet. Is the sushi phenomenal? No, of course not. But again, it's a $10 buffet. I came despite the reviews with realistic expectations and was very pleased. Lots of good options. Really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken and Rangoons, and a lot of the Chinese offerings. This was not it. When we walked inside, the owner or manager or whoever that seemed to be in charge was sitting at the entrance watching people come in. At first I didn't care but once I saw and tasted how disgusting the food was, I was annoyed. The water fountain at the entrance is absolutely disgusting (if you're greeted by filth you can only expect filth). Tables were dirty food tasted and looked stale and old. The only shrimp that didn't taste old was the ceviche shrimp that's it... Once I left the "person in charge" was still sitting there at the entrance. I was just disappointed that anyone in charge wouldn't tale charge and look around to see what very obviously needed to be improved. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Firstly, the atmosphere and ambience is just *chef's kiss*. We were pleasantly surprised by the price as well. The food was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. I've been a regular customer here for years, and stopped in today (6/20/2024, 3:40pm) for a quick soup to take out. (There's a flat fee for soup to go, depending upon whether you get a small or large container.) When I got to the cashier's desk, though, she insisted that I had to weigh my soup like a normal buffet meal, because I "had more food than soup in my container." What, my soup is suddenly "not runny enough?" My soup container has "too much soup" under the lid? My soup is not supposed to include soup ingredients? (I had only soup in my container, btw). This is absurd, and against all the information they have posted for flat take-out fees. The cashier was fairly rude and insistent about overcharging me, and it took her colleague coming over to inform her of the restaurant's own policies. I am so disappointed; the people who work here are usually friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. But when I asked the cashier, she said they are under new management - as if that explains the sudden rudeness and attempt to arbitrarily change the rules. If this is true, it's a real bummer; the previous owner was always there himself, working really hard, greeting customers, jumping in to help the staff, and making it a point to deliver the best customer service to everyone. read more

Me and my family sat down with our first plate and didn't get our drinks til my mother in law had to go ask for them , drinks were brought about 10 minutes after , then we had no straws so we had to wait another 5 minutes by that time we were just ready to go. All the employees you could tell were new . No one had any clue as to what they were doing . The servers didn't come get plates off the table til we were about to leave and there was a lot of us so plates were piled pretty high . The "manager" wasn't managing much. The sushi/ sashimi/ California roll are second thought at best. The sushi that was on the counter when I arrived was what was there when I left, minus what I ate. Pffft. 3.5 stars? Are you kidding Me sister? I love the Atlantic Buffet! The decor doesn't yell "Asian cuisine", but it IS stylish and perhaps a bit opulent considering the modest price. The buffet is expansive and tastier than any other from Forth Worth to Miami (I checked, lol). The food's delicious, and you can watch as the chefs cook it. It's constantly fresh and such an impressive variety. Service is pretty good, and the price is great. This is at least a 4.5 star buffet! To Try: Crabs legs (dinner) Shrimp covered with a sweetened mayo sauce, spinach pastry wraps, the perfectly grilled calamari (best I've seen at any restaurant, though absent on My last visit), sushi selection (dinner is better than lunch), grilled beef with onion, kabobs, salmon bake and the jalapeno chicken. They have a nice dessert bar, with a yummy variety from healthy to decadent. There's a self-scoop ice cream bar so you can a la mode your fresh cut fruit, puddings, jello, cookies, or choice of cake/pie. Even the restrooms are kept meticulously clean and are spacious. There are 2 separated dining areas plus two separate banquet rooms. (which can probably be reserved and can easily host 30 people each) The food is always freshly prepared (mostly before your eyes) and I love the array of selection. Sushi chefs prepare about 12 varieties of sushi in front of you, grill chefs constantly cook and refresh the tempting grill bar, and I've noticed...they love to receive a smile! There's also a fresh salad bar which is meticulously tended to, for lunch there's mussels and/or shrimp available and half-shelled oysters on ice for dinner. Soups are so-so but the tasty pastries are scrumptious (pizza and wings are available too). The desert dumplings are delicious btw, check them out they're by the soups. The staff is attentive, usually efficient, and reasonably friendly. The food is delicious, and there's tons of it. The atmosphere is very casual elegance with a bit of seaside flair. Seating is very comfortable and noise level isn't an issue. The fountain installed under the chandelier at the center is beautiful, but its' appeal is distracted by the number of "wet floor" signs they must place around it daily. Contrary to what the other reviewers state, I definitely do not feel that this place is even worth of considering for a 5 star rating. Price Lunch (weekdays): $7 Dinner (weekdays): $8 Dinner (all day weekends):$9 or 10 Overall, there is less food here, and the food, with the exception of the kalbi BBQ short ribs, is of lower quality. And seriously, when they refill a tray, they (for the most part) only put in a few servings of something. For the Flouder, they put in just 3 fish for the whole restaurant, for the crab legs, they left 6 pods of legs (and you all know how many of yhose people get in one sitting). There were some bright spots tho. The roast beef was delicious (it was noticeably absent aka did not ever get replaced at Pacific), the apple pie was CONSTANTLY refilled, they had sweet potatoes and tacos (which were average, slightly better than taco bell's hard shell tacos), they had bone in flounder (cooked properly too), and super flavorful chicken fajitas. A few downsides stick out in my mind tho. There is almost no sushi selection here, and the available sushi is NOTICABLY lower quality than Pacific (probably about the same or a little higher than Grand Buffet), the crawfish was WAY overcooked, no sea bass (though it is kind of made up by having flounder), and the banana pudding tasted artificial (which is weird because it tasted great at Pacific-I attribute it to the use of vanilla Pudding at Pacific and the use of Banana flavored pudding at Atlantic). There does seem to be a larger selection of American food here (mac and cheese, chicken tenders, pizza, hard shell tacos, etc), which may explain why this restaurant is rated so high (I may be the first asian reviewer for this restaurant on yelp). So if you are looking for a good ASIAN/CHINESE buffet, go to Pacific instead. You can thank me later. read more

Do not eat anything. The food was old& most was undercooked. I tried to get another drink made bc my cup had cracks in it & kept wetting up my table. None of the food was labeled. EVERYTHING was room temp or cold. So many of the plates were dirty. I had 2 plates, 1st plate was horrible. I had a wonton in my soup so old it bent the spoon when I went to split it in half. Some broccoli was raw and some were cold and salty. I waited to see if fresh food would come out. I saw 2 workers on 2 different occasions simply stir the food& push it to the front. They filled the chicken with broccoli with sauce with broccoli &French fries. Made plate #2 to give it a second try, more of the same room temp &undercooked food. I left them both and went to complain and show the waitresses. Apparently I sat in the non English section bc my waitress spoke no English& that's all she could tell me. Waited for the owner to express complaints. Instead of listening to my complaints his first words were "I'm reviewing the tapes to see how many plates you had."
