Air races are always fun here and my kids come a few days early, before they close everything off, and get to watch the practice runs for free LOL. Quite often, the pilots are sitting around their jets and invite the kids to get up inside the cockpit, and explore. Amazing support for local flyers and children alike. Once or twice a year they also have the young eagles event here where kids get to fly for free. They have a huge group of pilots, with the help civil air patrol cadets, take kids up for a small flight so they get to have the excitement and hopefully stimulate an interest in being a future pilot.

Over last 30+ days, 40+ written complaints regarding consistent pilot non-compliance with FAA 14CFR91 and Carson City Municipal Code Title 19 violations have been filed with airport management: 1. Pilots unsafely fly between 100' - 300' altitude over congested neighborhoods and businesses. 2. Pilots routinely disregard promulgated flight path. 3. Pilots do not maintain 1000' altitude and 2000' separation from tallest obstruction in area. Complaints have been answered with various excuses and administrative obfuscation of responsibility. Carson City Airport is NOT a good neighbor.

Everything went fantastic. However, for the game tickets it is best if you download the Monsters' App too. And realize for the price - your tickets are in the end zones. Fifteen of us were able to party up and arrive safely home. Both bus drivers were professional and possessed a sense of humor! The first trip was so smooth, clean new bus, excellent and polite driver. The second time, coming from the airport, is where the staff really shined. I volunteered to go on a later bus because of luggage space issues, but had some team members joining later anyway so I didn't mind. The staff were gracious enough to let me pick up their tickets as well, which saved us time and gave peace of mind. When my colleague was delayed on the tarmac, Demetri was kind enough to call the driver to ask him to hold five minutes. Saved us from getting a $70 Lyft and we were super grateful to be able to travel together. Same excellent driver and bus as last time. Thank you Jessica, Demetri, and Dan!

I booked Savannah to Las Vegas to Reno, 7 hours with short layover. I got Savannah to Midway to San Diego to Reno, 11+ hours. That's tough on anyone but especially a senior. I know I could change but nothing fit my schedule so I as usual just dealt with it. Don't like the consistent flight changes with Southwest and that is why they are among my last choice.

The runway and landing strip is 7400 feet so if that's enough for your plane than this is for you. There is a great little restaurant here, called the Taildragger Cafe serving breakfast lunch and dinner on weekdays and just breakfast and lunch on weekends. I had my boss fly in here for LA for a meeting and it worked out great and we shared a nice meal as well. Parking is fine here unless there's a big event going on, but other wise it's easy and the restaurant isn't crowded.
