Initially, I had difficulty reaching someone to get a quote for some work I needed done on my VW…read more Turns out it was just bad timing, which is understandable -- it happens. Ismail, the owner, eventually reached out to me and explained what was going on at the time. He was interested in helping me with my concerns and worked around my schedule so that I could drop the car off. When I arrived, he listened to all of my concerns and advised on the possible causes. I had been doing my research on what the issues could have been and the cost to repair those issues, so I knew more or less what I could be facing. Before I left, I remembered that I had broken the headlight sensor and bought a replacement part that needed to be installed, but I had been too lazy to do it myself. So I asked him to let me know what it would cost to replace the part once he checked the car over. Two days after I dropped off the car Ismail calls me and tells me the car is ready and explained that everything was fine and the parts I thought were failing were still in good shape. I had changed out the suspension myself and I have 104k miles with mostly original OEM components. Turns out, everything I was experiencing was due to the new suspension. To be clear, Cars and More is not an aftermarket specialty shop, it's a shop that specializes in European car repairs, so finding the exact cause of the noises I'm hearing would require a bit of work since not every aftermarket combination yields the same results. Had my car been completely stock it would have been a very straight forward assessment, but he reassured me that the vehicle was fine to drive and that everything was installed to spec. He also installed the headlight sensor free of charge and topped off my oil as a gesture of good faith. I appreciate him taking the time to look over my car and provide an expert opinion. I would recommend Cars and More to anyone with a stock European vehicle, as I'm sure the dealerships will rob you blind. Ismail could have taken me to the cleaners based on my assumptions of what was wrong, but he did the right thing. A trustworthy mechanic is very hard, but there is definitely one at Cars and More!

I then took my car to the dealership of its brand and they have to redo everything this shop supposedly fixed. and of course, JR Auto Repair only takes Zelle or cash so there's no way to get your money back after you realize they stole from you. Junior asked me to bring my car back so they can take a look, but I have no faith in this shop to get things done properly. my car is too important for their incapable hands. Junior has a terrible attitude and you can tell by his sassy responses to the negative reviews that he is absolutely guilty of being a scammer. on top of being a scammer, the shop is overall unprofessional. I had to text and call several times for updates on my car. the price went up every time we spoke. they left hand prints all over hood and interior of the car. all on top of not actually fixing anything. overall, I feel taken advantage of. Junior asked me my age and commented that he thought I was much younger and he also asked what I do for a living as I have a nice car. he also made sure to mention before he even saw the car how expensive repairs can be on it just based off the brand. to me, he saw a young woman with a nice car and decided I would be an easy target, and I fell for it. please, do NOT bring your car to this shop. Junior absolutely is a salesman and he will say anything to get you to agree with him. do not make the same VERY EXPENSIVE mistake I made.

The shop…read moreremoved my original exhaust system with catalytic converters as well as the catalytic converter from the replacement exhaust I brought, and then refused to return my parts unless I paid a "radiation fee" that I never agreed to. And that "radiation fee" isn't a Florida law as he told me On top of that, the exhaust they installed leaked, forcing me to pay $45 out of pocket to have it fixed elsewhere. I also paid $279 for the service, which was defective and incomplete. To make matters worse, the catalytic converters were scrapped without my authorization, which is my personal property. The total value of the scrapped parts is approximately $860. I am currently working with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) to resolve this issue. I would not recommend this shop, and I strongly caution others to make sure they get all fees and policies in writing before agreeing to service.

So hard to find a shop that just will be dead honest no matter what and do the right thing regardless. Funny thing is, if they would just operate with the understanding that we will be honest and repair your vehicle today for less and that in turn, you will come back for years to come and they will wind up making more money from you over the long-term than a short term potential gouge. We actually wound up taking our vehicle back to the dealership and shockingly enough, they proved to us that a couple of the parts that JSI was telling us needed to be replaced we're functioning per manufacturers specs and not problematic at all. Needless to say, we will not be taking our vehicles back to this shop and we're not telling anyone not to go there, just trying to make other's aware of our experience that's all.
