May 21, 2019 **IF YOU'RE SHOPPING FOR USED CARS IN THE GARNER/RALEIGH AREA, IM ABOUT TO SAVE YOU A LOT OF TIME! ** Best experience ever! Mike, the owner and his staff, knew every car we asked about inside and out! We didn't even have to ask about any issues because Mike went out of his way to point out little minor defects we may not have noticed otherwise... talk about honesty! He also offered a solution fo each minor cosmetic flaw. He and his staff graciously pulled out half a dozen cars for us to drive, telling us to take as long as we needed with each one. He bent over backwards to help, giving us his personal cell phone number to use should we have any further follow up questions. Absolutely amazing! I would've left this review even if we hadn't purchased a car from him, but we did! He gave us an incredible deal and I got my dream car! I HIGHLY recommend this dealership if you're shopping for quality on a budget. So happy! read more

One year ago, I visited this dealership after seeing a 2006 Nissan Titan listed on their website. I liked the pictures, so my wife and I drove all the way from Fayetteville to Garner to buy it. When we arrived, it was already dark and raining. The area where the truck was parked had no lighting, so we had to inspect it using our cell phone flashlights. It was very dirty inside, but because I have always loved this specific model, I decided to go through with the purchase anyway. My wife wanted to leave without it, but I convinced myself to buy it. During the test drive, the brakes felt a bit soft, but given the age of the vehicle, I assumed it was something minor I could easily fix, clean up, and maintain myself. I paid for the truck and drove back to Fayetteville. Once home, I realized just how bad the vehicle's condition truly was. I cleaned it as best as I could and immediately replaced the mismatched, worn-out tires. I only used the truck a few times to tow my boat. A few months ago, while towing a trailer, the brake lines completely burst due to severe rust. I took the truck to a mechanic, who informed me that the vehicle was unsafe and unrepairable because rust had compromised the frame near the gas tank, there was literally a hole in the frame! I could have been in a fatal accident. This was a costly lesson for me. This company should have been honest about the catastrophic rust instead of selling a dangerous vehicle under conditions where proper inspection was impossible. They sell complete junk. My passion for Nissan Titans got the better of me, but I hope others learn from my mistake. Beware of this business, do not trust them! read more

Scammers all over there stay far away. They'll cover up problems. I bought a car didn't last 5k miles. This place should be shut down.

Definitely steer clear! I should have known by the looks alone - many cars crammed into a crappy corner lot with a gross, dirty trailer situated in the middle. Yikes. Decided to look around, the employee who was there told me everyone else that works there was "late coming into work." Ok. After driving 45 minutes to see a few cars, the cars that we were originally interested in were filthy, hadn't been cleaned INSIDE (one had trash and dirt on the floor), one had a bumper falling off, the final one had chipped paint and rust above the windshield. Horrible experience. Just avoid at all costs, if this is how the present the cars on the lot, I can only imagine how poorly these vehicles will do out on the road. Hard pass! read more

2007 Wrangler Jeep, nothing was wrong when purchased, they clear the codes. So far we had full tune-up (cylinder 6 misfire), ABS light is on, Front main seal small leak (found above oil filter) and my daughter is broken down in Norfolk Virginia date: 06/19/26 - with shifting problems. I mean I understand that things might need to be fixed, but for $9,000? I should have read all the reviews. read more

When we bought here, we thought we knew what we were getting. A used car with lots of miles, paying cash, no big deal. We ran it by the Pep Boys during our test drive to run a code finder during our test drive and no codes came up. However, the salesman barely showed the carfax, and did it on his phone, seemed to be unconcerned about any issues with the car that I pointed out, and basically brushed us off. When we went inside the trailer to do the paperwork, it was definitely run down - again though, this is what we knew we were getting right? WRONG - within two weeks the car we bought threw every light it had on, transmission issues, oil issues, alternator issues - you name the problem we had one. I contacted the dealer ship and asked to speak to someone multiple times as we were told that while they don't warranty the cars, to please call them with issues. EVERY TIME I was told I have to speak to the owner, and to call back and when someone did finally take a message for "Omar" to call me back he never did. I got tired of leaving messages and am now coming here to warn you - take the car to a mechanic, not just run codes, because codes can be cleared and it doesn't mean anything. Know that what you are getting is likely uninspected and just something they are flipping from somewhere else. read more

NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER!!! I bought a used EV from this dealer and gave it a test drive--no apparent issues, drove it 200 miles back to my house and still observed no issues. The NEXT DAY, less than 24 hours later, I was driving the car down the road and it suddenly shut down completely. The car had a destroyed rear drive unit that had to be replaced, which cost $7000. A few weeks after that got replaced, the car shut down yet again, this time with a broken battery, which can cost up to $17,000. This is more than I paid for the car in the first place, and because of the extreme expense, I haven't even been able to repair the car at all; it's an expensive brick sitting in the driveway. I called the dealership many times, and every time these guys steered me in circles and it never went anywhere. They say they will call you back and never do, you text them for updates and they never respond. I repeat, if you value your money at all, NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER. There is no warranty on the car, and the paperwork you sign strips your right to sue them. I never should have bought the car after reading that, but due to my naivety, I did anyway--don't make the same mistake I did! Please, buy a car somewhere else! read more

They sell cars with problems run dont buy from these dishonest people...broken sway bars costly repairs they hide

They were absolutely the worst. There was trim missing from the outer windshield. I asked for for $100 off since I would have to get that replaced myself. They refused to lower the price and promised to order the parts and ship them to me. It has now been 3 months and they have a different excuse why my part is not here yet. Obviously that was a lie and I should have known better. Pass on this place no matter what they have on the lot. read more

Below I have paste the my original post. February 14 This car was in my possession for several weeks before it became useless for my teen son who has Asperger and worked really hard to have a method of transportation to get to school. Once I exposed Atlantic Auto Sales online within 10 mins the owner called to try to make amends after ignoring all my previous efforts prior to the reviews. He gave me his "personal cell number" ( I was blocked, not once did he pick up my calls and messages) they are very good at ghosting. In making amends, he had me toll the car back to his lot at my expense and kept the car for about two months. When I called the dealer to inquire about the status of the car they were always rude to me and made it uncomfortable. The owner wanted to charge me again over a thousand dollars when during making "amends" he said that the problem with the car was very cheap to fix and therefore they would take care of it. But I was being hopeful, borrowed the money and pay them more money. After several months he finally returned the car and as my son was driving it off the lot, all the lights came back on again. We took it back to the dealer and we waited several more weeks this again. Ultimately, for the third time, we get the car that was supposedly an "easy and quick" fix. 3 days later all the engine lights , mcs and many other related to engine issues are back on. The car is as reliable as the dealer has been. My son doesn't have a way to get around to school and his therapies. It is really sad that he saw a woman who trusted them because I don't know about cars and they saw my son who really didn't understand that we were both being taken by these money hungry sharks. K a r m a First post on February 14, THEY SELL GARBAGE!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS! Their good rating is base on people who give them good rating soon after doing business with them but a few weeks or months later, who knows how they really feel. With limited resources and as a single mom I bought a car from Atlantic Auto for my autistic son who earned it with his hard work and needed it because he was starting at school at Wake Tech. I bought this car ONLY 7 WEEKS AGO!! THEY assured me to pick the car that I purchased from them because it was going to last him some more years to come. (Silly me, forgetting that these used car sales people are SHARKS) I took their word of reassurance. ONLY 4 months and the car's transmission is broken. A used one would cost me about $3,500. I called them and spoke to receptionist several times to see if they can help me in any way possible and they ignored my calls. Never returning my calls. I am very upset because THEY JUST DON'T CARE that I spent everything that we were able to borrow to be able to get my son this car out of necessity. #HEARTLESS. #SCAMMERS. #DISHONEST read more

I wouldn't give them a star at all. My 16 year old daughter spent her hard earned money for a car. This place states that they have mechanics look at all their cars. This is a lie or their mechanic isn't a real mechanic. The car we chose had a cover over the bottom of the engine. So no leaks we detected. He assured us many times that the car was in good working order. We bought the car and my daughter drove it only a couple times in 4 months due to it being in the shop being fixed after breaking down multiple times. I kept them informed of every break down. The last time they had to tow it to a VW dealership and they told us that if would cost over 5000 to fix all the problems. When I told Atlantic about it they basically told me I was shit out of luck. They are crooks at this dealership. Pleas stay away from them. read more

Thank you, Atlantic auto sales, for your exceptional customer service and for turning a difficult situation into a positive experience. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a place where customers are treated with respect and understanding. read more

I purchased a car based on the information and photo on their website, car was pretty clean inside, drove it home and the car would not start the next day, bad battery. At least after 3 days someone from the dealership came and provided me with a new battery, smh I have not had this car no longer than 60 days oil leaks and now mold growing in the back seat of the car. Please be careful the car you end up with could cost you more than what you brought it for. Wow read more

These guys were awesome! Came in for a car for my mom and they were helpful and understanding to our needs. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase. They made the process very easy. Daisy was great! read more

Sad to see the negative reviews on here. My experience was completely different. After weeks of searching for a car, I found this place. It was a little further outside of my search area but the trip was worth it. Website is easy to navigate and plenty of cars to fit any budget. No one pounces on you like other car places, too. I worked with Mike and MJ. They were fantastic ... answered all my questions, worked within my budget, and with my bank (which is out of state). After closing the deal, Carolyn in the front office helped me get all my paperwork done, making sure everything was in order. She not only knows what she's doing but she is super friendly. Total rock star! At the end of the day, it felt more like hanging out with friends than a car buying experience. Such a smooth process. I'm now the happy owner of a new (used) Mazda. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I explained my situation to him so I got the CarFax offer like he wanted, and he he told me he can work with that and told me I can get the car that I wanted. After driving an hour to this place he didn't try to give me the car that I wanted or make an attempt plus this place sketchy and it stinks read more

Atlantic Auto Sales - Car Dealers Near Me - Garner, North Carolina

Back again y'all with another great experience to write about! I had purchased a SUV first on Thursday had problems with it on Friday, Saturday came had a loaner vehicle for the weekend. Fell in love with loaner vehicle. What I'm trying to say is yes things can go wrong when you "buy as Is" but it's how the dealership takes care of you, is what matters. And guys they went above and beyond to show me I mattered and I wasn't just a big $$ sign. I recommend Atlantic AS specially if you're in the market for luxury. read more

Compared to most of the dealers in the area they are truthful and understanding. We agreed on a price and they stuck with it. The entire process was smooth and easy. It might look a little suspect on the outside, but the people are good and they take care you. The prices were fair and reasonable especially put up against most of the insane dealers near by. read more

Less than one week following my purchase from these shady pieces of crap, the vehicle is having major problems. 1) Leaking roof 2) Leaking oil 3) Catalytic converter needs replacing 4) No valid inspection provided with other paperwork signed on sight I am filing a complaint with the NC Department of Motor Vehicles as well as contacting Monica Laliberte of WRAL. Buying be warned to stay far from this place. The good Google reviews are from people who were paid to write them. read more

We had a very positive car buying experience here. They disclosed a minor accident that the car had and showed us the full Carfax record. I am not expecting a perfect car but both the owner and the salesperson who took care of us seemed honest and did not pressure us to make a rushed decision at any point. Overall, and looking at the comparable cars I saw in other dealers, I think we got a good deal and a good service. This will be the first place I check the next time I start shopping for a used car. read more

This is a typical fraudulent used car dealer. They lie and BS you the whole way. Their cars are used and abused. They're buying them cheap from various dealer auctions for pennies on the dollar, and then selling them off to innocent and naive buyers. I flew from NY to buy an Audi S8. They sent me many photos, and claimed the car was in excellent condition, and everything worked on it. They even said that i would have no problem driving the car back to NY. Long story short, i fly there to see a car with SEVERAL oil leaks, major suspension problems, CRACKED windhsield, and bald tires. When i mentioned these issues to MJ, his response LITERALLY WAS "I'm not a mechanic, i don't know anything about that car". EXCUSE ME???? YOU'RE THE DEALER, THAT'S YOUR JOB. MJ started fighting with me and yelling at me. I also did a computer scan of the car with my laptop and found over 100 error codes. They literally tried to dupe me by selling me a bad car. Happy with our used car buying experience from Atlantic Auto. The car we bought last month is far from perfect (as you'd expect from an older used car), but I think the price was fair and the dealership was easy to work with. They came across as honest businessmen. The dealer let us have the car checked over by a mechanic before we made the final decision to buy so there were no big surprises later. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I definitely would. I just bought a 2003 Subaru Outback from then on Saturday and the next day it started over heating. Checked the radiator and it was bone dry. Had to replace the radiator and power steering pump the day after I bought it. None of these problems were ever brought to my attention and there is no way they didn't know about these things. So shady! Whatever you do do not buy a car from these scum bags! read more

I was all set to purchase a Nissan Versa Note here today. I literally had the check in hand less than 24 hours after seeing the car because I really wanted it. Right before signing the paperwork I went to get a pre-sale inspection done and found out that the car had been in a collision that had not been reported to Carfax. I don't know if the dealership knew this or not (since they don't inspect their cars and just go off of what was reported, even though their website says "our entire vehicles undergo a multi-point inspection"), but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since it had not been reported. Once I returned from the inspection, I inquired about the damage to make sure it would pass inspection and their entire tune changed. They went from friendly and nice to defensive and somewhat rude. Actually saying to me that the car passing inspection is "not their problem". I was actually still willing to purchase the car if they were willing to negotiate on the price/work with me (since there was clearly a collision that caused frame and headlight damage). They were unwilling to even negotiate at all and simply said "then don't buy the car". In addition, I simply suggested they let the next person interested know that it had been in an accident, to save them from going through the whole process I did, and they immediately shut that down and got pretty rude about me even suggesting it. Unfortunately, an initially good experience ended pretty badly. I recommend everyone get a pre-sale inspection on any cars from here. read more

MJ was great to work with. Bought a Chevy Avalanche and it works great. Highly recommend working with MJ to get you in a vehicle you need.

Never, ever, ever give this place your business. After being very excited to have found a "decent" vehicle and driving an hour, I just knew I was going to drive away with a new ride. After contacting this dealership multiple times this week prior to making the trip, I was always reassured that the vehicle was in great shape. Upon arrival, I see that paint is in terrible condition and my mechanic takes one look under the hood... SALVAGED. The salesman had nothing to say on their behalf. Disgusted. read more

I am soooo glad I looked here before going any further with these guys. I have been searching the internet for a well priced Porsche Boxster. I found a few and one was at this dealership. Pictures looked great. Very much the colors I was looking for. Since I am 1,800 miles away I wanted to get some preliminary information before moving forward. I called and spoke with Jamil. Right off the bat he have the the salesman's pitch. How great this car was and the price was so low. When I started with my questions his attitude changed completely. Now he was on the defensive. How dare I ask these questions. They have many leads on this car. It is 20 years old you know. By now I can tell he thinks I am wasting his time and is hurrying my on the phone. Well, I mainly wanted to know what I was getting into. I felt like I was in an awkward interrogation. This car was my FIRST choice because of the colors and condition based on the pictures. After this phone call it dropped completely off the list into the trash can. This car has been listed online for at least 75 days. That's a long time for a car to sit on a lot. Guess their many leads aren't leading anywhere. Now you know why. read more
