Can we talk about how your service department treated me today when I called because my 2024 GTI locked itself with my key inside and my app wouldn't work...with my post op dog inside!!!!! I was hung up on and the fire department had to rescue her by breaking my window. Because of you, and your lack of compassion for living things, her temp went to 115 and she is getting fluids. I am incredibly grateful for the firemen that came and broke my window to save her. I will NEVER buy anything from this dealership again and I will make sure everyone knows how cruel you are. read more

We couldn't have asked for a better auto buying experience! We did all of the negotiating over the phone with Ahmed for a Volkswagen Jetta, and they beat out all the other local dealers on price. When we arrived we met with Meech who stayed with us for the whole process. We went for a relatively long test drive and we drove out with our new car in a few hours. We decided to go with the financing they secured. It was a bit more(0.34%) than our bank, but it allowed us to drive out with the car that day. Frank, the finance manager, was straight with us and didn't try to upsell anything. Overall the process was friendly, smooth and painless. We were even given freshly-cooked BBQ ("we cook for our customers!") - definitely getting our business again. read more

Fraud. Sold a car at contract price, then sent false price to DMV and Finance Bank. Still in court. Avoid!

I would never purchase a used car from Atlantic Auto Group for several reasons. Let me begin, we purchased a 2021 Toyota Highlander and paid in cash. Upon leaving with the bill of sale and temporary tags, the salesperson set up appt. for some spot repairs and hopefully get the tags. On the service day, I went early before work and the salesperson was not due in until 9am. So the "job" was not set up, nor was a loaner car available. When I picked up my car, the corrective work was not done and I need to reschedule...and I did. Only for the repairs not to be done again. So, the salesperson set up the 3rd appt. for the tire repair with an outside company. I dropped off the car and it was NOT done again-very disappointing. The forth and final time it was repaired by the original person. But it's not over, it is Day 79 and I still do not have a Title or Tags for the car...this is exhausting and insane. They lack communication and continue to pass the blame around. I will definitely be seeking a lawyer and will update later. read more

Unprofessional staff. Tom Richardson, Ahmed, jack and Danny. Gave me and my son the run around for 3 Months. He purchased the vehicle first week of March and after 12! weeks!! of pestering every sales manager, the plates were finally received and the title sent to the lender. Sounds like Medu N. Had the exact same experience in Feb. 2019. Please read all reviews before going to this chitty dealership. And report them to the DMV by filling out the INV172a form. read more

This was the worst car buying experience. The sales manager did everything a sleazy car salesperson would do in a bad movie. Would agree to a price, then say he never did, then put it in writing, only to lose the paper. Go to sign the contract and see they changed the price back to full msrp. It was 4 hours of fighting just to get what they had agreed to over the phone. THEN they messed up all the paper work and it took them three months to get it figured out. AVOID read more

I was given an appopintment for December 24th 2021 and took off from work to have the computer program upgraded from a recall. Got to the dealership and found the service department closed, and was promised a phone call to reschedule which never happened. Received a call that I missed my appointment, transfered to service and was assuired I would get a call back, never happened. Filed reports with the NYS AG, Consummer affairs, and Nassau DA. Recently I had my front brakes serviced at Atlantic Chrysler Jeep in Northfield. In the past I gave them a bad review for the way I was treated after I purchased a 2013 Grand Cherokee Loredo E. Since then, the owner brought in new people and managers in his sales department. Hopefully things keep improving in the sales department as the attitude is a lot better. The service on my Jeep was excellent. The prices at this dealership was about the same you would pay almost anywhere else. The people in the service department were a pleasure to talk with. I was quoted $150 to do diagnostic on my Volvo XC90, I thought I would give them a try since they sent me a post card, stating they could work on my car, that I did not have to go the Volvo garage. I was charged $221.13, with no diagnosis, plus he presented me with a long list of what he considered needed repairs. Everything from fluids to shocks. I did not ask him for this service. Not happy I had to spend $221.13 for nothing. Took the car to Goodwins, turned out it needed a new CEM, fixed within 24 hours. I feel I was taken advantage of by this garage. read more

Wynn, the service advisor, was awesome!! We were on a road trip from San Diego, California. Visiting our brother in New Jersey we made our first trip to Atlantic City and as we were leaving our automatic brakes froze on us. We had our van towed to the Atlantic Auto Group and needed work done that day (it was July 3rd, we had 4th of July plans). Wynn Keller was very helpful and got us out in 5-6 hours and back on the road. We have nothing but kudos to give and thank you, thank you, thank goodness for you. You got us back on the road to our next destination. Thank you!! read more

The reason for my trip to Atlantic Auto Group was for a great price listed on the internet for a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was completely interested in buying this Jeep. After test driving and started to talk numbers, the number was about $6000 than the internet price. When I brought it to their attention there was no discussion of the internet price again. They continued to pressure me to sign to a deal regardless of the fact that I explained I need a cosigner/father's permission. They were trying to take advantage of me as I'm a young female, car shopping alone. When we returned with my father the next day and started discussing numbers, they came back again about $6000 higher than the internet price. Long story short, they made a mistake online, would not honor the online price, and changed the price the next morning. Mind you this is now a 2 year leftover vehicle, and they had no intentions of negotiating to the internet price. By far some of the worst customer service I've ever received. read more

The sales "boy " talked down to me (a female) And my friend, also a female. He started out flirtatious, which we saw as Seedy and gross. This place is a disaster! Do not go here to purchase a car! We waited three hours getting toyed around! I called in advance to see if they had the car there, they said yes. Turns out it was not there but an hour away. It took 2 hours to get the car here and it STILL wasn't the right car! They tried switch and baiting us. Then brought a downgrade car over from 5 min away and said it had 37,000 miles and it turned out to have 48,000 miles. This place is a shit show and it's not worth the headache and stress getting your vehicle from here. They don't give deals on pricing and they were rude to us when we left pissed off. WARNING WARNING WARNING-Stay far far away from this service department. Had my car towed in after breaking down in AC, My car sat in the shop for several weeks with no one even looking at it, I had to rent a car, and get it towed back up to North Jersey. They only had one mechanic for the whole shop. Would have been nice if someone told me this when I had the car towed into them. Rule, poor customer service skills, No phone calls, no follow up, did not return calls. I filed a compliant in small claims court for the cost of the rental and the tow, don't let dealerships rip you off or treat you poorly!!!!!!!! I went to a different dealership last night and test drove a vw jetta. I liked it but noticed that Atlantic had the same one but $2,000 cheaper. Ron DeMarchi welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door with a big smile. He honored the price that was online and made my purchase a positive experience all the way around. If I could give NO STARS I would. I came in with my own financing and everything went down hill from there. They kept saying how if I bought this car I was going to break someone's heart (they had someone else Coming to look at the car that was going to use their financing ) then they told me I had to submit To a credit check even though I already had my own financing. So after taking me through this long Process by this time it's 7pm. Then they hit me with the oh we can't let you drive off the lot unless your insurance card has this specific vehicle on it (BS) they were hoping that I wouldn't be able to get in touch with my agent, luckily I was. They gave me a broken spare key and the car was in dire need of an oil change still hasn't been resolved. Now I am trying to get tags and title and they have made every excuse to not get that done. When I call they are extremely rude and nasty. Do not buy a vehicle from them they are frauds! read more

This company obviously does not care about it's customers. Yesterday I saw on their website that they have a "quick lane" for fast oil changes without an appointment so today I drove 30 minutes to get my oil changed. I walked in the service door which is flanked on both sides by signs advertising the "quick lane" service. Wynn who seemed nice enough ask me what I needed so I said I was there for the "quick lane" oil change. He said "we don't have a quick lane", I said it says you do on your website. He responded with they have tried to remove it but have not been able too. But I'm sure they can add and delete cars everyday. So I said how about the big signs on the building promoting "quick lane", he said the owner doesn't want to take them down. Why in heavens not, does he intentionally want to upset and lose customers because that is what happened today. I will gladly drive to Vineland. Our lease is up in August and while my Jeep was getting the oil changed I was going to start looking for our next Jeep. I can guarantee you one thing, it will not be coming from this Joke of a business. Sadly I have to give them 1 star because 0 is not an option. Shame on you Atlantic Auto Group!!! read more

found a vehicle through autotrader and book an appointment through the site. got a quick response and felt good about it. checked same stock # on their own website and found pricing discrepancy. inquired electronically and no one from the dealer reached out. called the dealer and spoke with a bdc rep and explained what is going on. he said that it sometimes happens that their website isn't update with sale pricing and that auto trade pricing would be honored. move appt up from Saturday to Friday. I want the car, I'm ready to buy. confirmed with the person I spoke with again to move the appt that the auto trader price is the correct price and would be honored. drive 2.0 hours to dealer. arrive. car is out front. I asked if we can speak privately in an office. we go in the back. If you like being ripped off, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, move along... Bought a used Jeep Wrangler here. At first, they tried to charge more for the used vehicle than for a brand new one, but we beat them in that game and I was eventually able to get the Jeep for the price I wanted. My brother brought his Wrangler to get serviced here, and they somehow managed to lose his key. They issued a replacement key, but the chip inside was not a correct match and ended up destroying his steering column so that his car wouldn't turn off. When we brought it back, they refused to accept fault and tried to charge $3,000 to fix it. Since we don't have the time or money to afford a lawyer to rectify the matter, we brought it elsewhere to be fixed (for a fraction of the price). Please save yourself and find another dealership that offers the cars, prices, and customer service you deserve. read more

Leased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from here and all was great! Then after my lease was up and I wanted to buy it out they dealer tried to break our contracted price by 6,000! Our price when I signed the lease was 21,000, he came back with 27,000 was the best he could do. So I called my Dad to come pick me up because I wasn't going to pay that after I signed the contract stating it was 21,000. Very quickly, once I was on the phone, it was again 21,000. Reluctantly I still bought the vehicle because it was basically brand new. I know how I took care of it and didn't wanna risk buying a used car and putting more into it then I paid. They force you to do their "mandatory safety check" then charge about $500 for it. The attitude from the sales rep was the worst thing about the entire experience. read more

The sales person Ronald was a very polite man, but when it came to the manager (the man in purple) he seemed to have no knowledge in dealing with customers and being polite. I then called and spoke with someone on the phone who told me the vehicle was only for auction and that I must have been mistaken. When I questioned them on this they promptly hung up on me! This dealer yelled at me and stole my money. What happened to me is simple. I came in and asked for a specific car with EVERY additional package and option it could have. They asked me to put down a $500 deposit that I could get back if there was a problem. They said they had found the car elsewhere but they could get it for me. The car they got was missing some very important safety features which were part of a big technology package. When I said I didn't want the car they yelled at me as If it was my fault. They convinced me to keep the wrong car. That night it rained and the roof started leaking. I brought the car back. They kept my $500. I have been in there a dozen times over the last six months and they just keep giving me the run around. Thieves. read more

Went in to test drive a new car, and they were clearly busy. A nice young man asked me to take a seat then referred me to another older salesmen who lamented about how busy they were and short staffed. I expressed my understanding. I told him I was there to take my first test drive on a new vehicle and that my lease was not due to be turned in for two more months. He asked if he could take care of the lease and get me into a car today. I nicely explained that I did not have time today and just wanted to see if I wanted to lease a new vehicle or buy a preowned. He mansplained that I cannot buy a lease. I know that as I have bought 8 cars alone all by my little self! I said I was not able to take the time to buy today due to my children - I just wanted to drive it. NEWSFLASH! Busy moms have limited time. Oh wait, did I just mansplain that? He asked THEN if I had an appointment; I said I did not. He lowered his eyes to me and told me it was a little busy today for me to come in for that (like I was bothering him...the salesman...ummm ok). I reexplained my position and he turned away from me while I was still talking to him. I walked out. This is how this auto group acted in 1998 (ex's car), 2003 (shopping only; bought elsewhere due to attitude) and today. Follow up to my poor experience at South Shore Hyundai Valley Stream Service Dept. My car was released on Saturday where the recall was supposed to be completed and a multi point check was done stating the the car was in perfect condition and nothing needed to be addressed or done to the car. I then needed to drive the car a far distance which I attempted the next morning and if I thought my nightmare was the week before while they had the car I was in for a rude awakening. I got as far as the through way upstate and exactly what I was trying to avoid the car shut off mid driving which we could have been killed by the traffic. I was able to role to the side of the road where when we opened the hood smoke was coming from the engine and oil leaking. I paid for a tow truck to take the car off the parkway to New Rouchelle Hyundai were they refused to help. Then the service manager at Valley Stream got a tow truck taking it to there office on Monday. When the tow truck company picked up the car no discussion was had just he was taking the car to dealership. Fast forward dealership then calls and states they don't know why but now I need a new radiator and battery which makes no sense almost 2000.00 in repairs, my tow fees I paid already plus uber fees from upstate home to Long Island. when I was told this I told them to not touch the car because it makes no sense after only a recall situation the car now has all these issues which were not seen in the multi point check that was done prior to car being released on the Saturday. Then when I towed the car back to my house it's making a crazy noise and not able to be driven. How are these companies able to get away with not taking and kind of ownership when they are wrong and to make it worst then lied on the paperwork that a conversation was had between myself and the tow truck company about the damage which the gentlemen confirmed he never had a conversation about the vehicle. Very disturbing is that I now have to sue them for me to get any satisfaction in the situation. I would never purchase from Hyundai because they make sure there is no accountability and leave the customer out in the dark. I went from a running vehicle with no other issues other that the recall to a car inoperable in my driveway. So a car that I was getting almost 8,000.00 for trade in value is actually not even an option now? Poor and in human treatment of your customers. read more
