These guys are charging $800-$1200 to change brake pads. 2 hours of labor at most, with a total material cost of $75-125. What a rip off. I advise you to find an honest mechanic that will do right by you. Not lie to steal your money. I'd hate to see what they charge women and the elderly. read more

October 2022 I had my vehicle repaired and inspection sticker renewed at Point AutoRepair. July of 2024 I was headed to work when I was pulled over and was told my vehicle wasn't registered. I stated that my sticker expires 10/2024, and according to the patrolman that inspection sticker given to me by Point Auto Repair was fake. The Patrolman cut me a break and gave me a ticket for not wearing my seat belt. I settled the ticket the next business day, update my inspection sticker at the Mays Landing Inspection Station, and informing Point Auto Repair of the issue, providing copies of all my information and no one got back with to rectify the issue. This place will rip you off if you let them, I came in for a break pad job, the first price the woman gave was 1100 , then the boss came in and since I only had 30000 miles on the car the cost would be only 400 to 500 dollars.Then they called back and I got another price for 822.Well since they had the car and didn't feel like getting another estimate I said do it.The pads cost 70.00 they charged me 6 hours labor at 119 an hour for 1 hour work.What a scam this place is, do not go , they will rip you off. read more

My experience there was favorable for 2 reasons. 1) The auto body repair on my car was done in the time the shop said it would be completed and the finished job was fantastic ! 2) A few months after the job was completed, my vehicle needed to go back because of a minor "noise" one door was making. Point Auto stood behind their work and the customer ! The treatment from the front office (Scott and Toni) is first class. These guys are great, absolutely fantastic. I have used their services twice, both times I dealt with Don who is clearly knowledgable and very honest (two words not synonymous with auto body) He never makes you feel like you're "on the meter" and at no point did I feel like the $ signs were piling up, this was not the case in the other 3 shops I went to. My first time I took my wife's car there and they were less than half the other shops. Recently some A$$hole in Philly hit and ran me and his trailer hitch smashed my bumper. I was in Philly anyway so I went to a shop there, was quoted a fairly hefty price, so I my way home I stopped at Car Metics in Cherry hill and was quoted an even higher price. I always knew I would be taking it to these guys, but I was quoted about half of what the other shops were going to charge me, but I was absolutely amazed at the work they did and it was only 1/3 the cost. Great service. Honest and dependable. Point Auto towed my van 10 minutes after initial call and diagnosed the problem within an hour. They tried to save me a little $$ by purchasing a reconditioned distributor cap - which I appreciated. Unfortunately a month later the distributor went again. I called Point Auto again, they immediately came out and picked up the van again... the best part? They realized the problem was primarily with the part they installed so they didn't charge us a dime... they even did a complete check up on the van for no charge. Great guys.... I never write reviews but I felt like I needed to this time. I bought a brand new car in sept and 30 days later a box truck hit the side of my car when it was parked in my parking space outside my home. Nobody wanted to fix it and I kept getting the run around. I finally got so fed up with it I took it to point auto for an estimate. They were honest and priced the lowest out of the other estimates I got. I took my car there and during the time they had it, Melissa kept in constant contact with me as to how it is coming out and when I should expect to be able to pick it up. She was courteous and just simply wonderful. After everything I had gone through to get to the point of getting my car fixed, they made me feel so much better and more relaxed.
