I can't say enough good things about Sky Gym. The entire staff there is super welcoming, nice,…read moreaccommodating, friendly, talented, and passionate. It's a great, clean facility with really high ceilings, and SHOWERS! Plus, they have *lots* of open practice opportunities, which is really nice. If you go and it's difficult or challenging, it's supposed to be! It's a full-body strength workout (that can even get into cardio territory sometimes if you're on the apparatus long enough). I couldn't do *anything* in my first few classes, but after maybe a couple of months, I could do enough to do a very small "performance." Just keep at it. You'll be surprised how quickly you build strength if you commit to at least once a week. Most important, though: have fun. The instructors will do their best to make sure that's happening!

So far my impression of the studio is that everyone are professionals at their craft. They are…read moreextremely clean and friendly team. Safety is a top priority. What I like is their mind body app that makes viewing and booking effortless. Membership prices are very affordable and great combinations of types of aerial excercise equipments (eg sling) The downside for me is that the first instructor courses were disorganized and not many get to try everything. felt rushed to briefly do every single one. I come in for my 3rd class and still disorganized despite having only 3 students. All in which have different levels. Level 1 sling class even then is too advanced for me. The instructor just dove right in but i think he forgets that when it comes to students like myself, I have never ever activated or used any muscle movement similar to what they are doing. He said to me you're just overthinking it. Yet the movement isn't understood by me. Even watching, I can't connect my many different movements "just" to do a simple flip into the sling and then have the fabric lay on my pelvis bones, balance and flip legs over. I'm sure this isn't the only way to teach...and I'm gonna look for a place that offers more structured and fluid sessions. Maybe start off with workout routines on The sling then just a "just move your body into any shape" or "just tuck your knees in and JUST bend your arms" then "voila". I won't be paying a drop in cost or even a membership just to hang or have such chaotic class. One minute this and that yet no real idea what those moves are even called. I left 20 minutes early as most moves were really too advanced for me. All I can do I stand in the sling. I'll be buying my own sling and watching videos online it's no different because all sky gym offers is this "watch" and "learn". You grab your own support pad.. They might help "lift you" into position but doesn't help understand how to do It yourself.. Also they do not really look at me when teaching but everyone else. Not really included till I speak up. Maybe it's just my instructor. They should look and make eye contact to EVERY STUDENT. not just one.

Really allowing us to appreciate the difficulty and technique that goes with pole. Truly made it welcoming and kind of ignited more curiosity to keep coming back and taking some new classes. Buy the deal packages if anything. Yes it's convenient but now that I'm at a different studio, I know the drive is worth it. Inconsistent quality of instruction, shoddy equipment that has caused injuries, shady downtime and schedules where you lose at least a month of membership throughout the course of a year (summer maintenance shutdown, series cancellations with no level equal backfill classes, etc) and deeply disappointing and disrespectful leadership who focuses on income sprints vs loyal membership and good communication. A business coach should know the cost of client acquisition is at least 6x higher than the cost of retention; teaching hundreds of thousands of students isn't a flex in boutique fitness unless you have a large, multi-location business. I've heard other horror stories I won't express here. As a client, you won't initially feel it, but as you go on you'll notice that you're treated as ignorant and as if you don't understand business and what clients want.

I have taken classes in pole, aerial silks and flexibility and have enjoyed them all. She's very consistent and does a good job switching things up so I never get bored. Initially, I trained in pole and after a baby and a long hiatus from pole, I decided I wanted to work on flexibility before getting back into pole. Julie crafted an hour long, flowing stretch session incorporating flexibility, core strength, partner yoga and therapeutic sports massage - you can't beat that level of attention. She listens and helps you go beyond your limitations with gentle and precise instruction. Also noteworthy are her music playlists. She does a stellar job at creating a sexy, intimate atmosphere where you can freely play and bask in your femininity. The last time I left practice I felt so good I almost walked out the door without my shoes! Julie is a excellent coach and is consistent, kind and knows her stuff! You won't be disappointed.
