When her old place told me they could no longer get her to eat, I knew it was time to get her out of there. Panicked, I researched every possible placement I could find. This process is terrifying, you literally have a loved ones life in your hands, and it feels like no place could be good enough to take over. After days of research I decided to stop by here for a tour, and found myself very impressed. The place is busy, in a good way. Nurses, cleaning staff, workers, visitors and residents are very active all day. It passes the smell test, an important factor for anyone contemplating leaving they're loved one someplace new. They have activities, a beautician, religious services, and plenty more amenities. I moved my aunt here a few months ago now, and she's better mentally and physically then when we left the last place. Turns out the last people just didn't try hard enough, she's even gained weight back! It's two to a room in her section, and her roommate swears by the service here. She's been there for 10 years and still loves it, that's saying a lot. The nurse recognizes me, and gives me updates regularly either in person or over the phone. They carefully laid out a care plan to match my wants and needs, and I really feel the love from the staff. It's hard to place your trust in strangers, but I sleep so much better knowing she's here being treated like a person, not a paycheck. On an extra note, today's visit was during happy hour. Everyone was enjoying some wine and having a good time interacting with each other, and I thought to myself "If I'm ever unable to take care of myself, I could see happily living like this."

That care enabled him to come back to my home with Mom and stay home with the great care that Wauconda Care coordinated. Though Dad had challenges and had to visit Wauconda Care again, I was confident they'd again provide excellent care until he could return to us. I have been so pleased, I have applied to become apart of their team to give back to others and become a part of the team that allowed extra time too enjoy hanging out with my Dad. I highly recommend this if you have a loved one in need...I recommend this location without reservation!! Remember, as I am a Nurse Practitioner, I am very aware of what quality in healthcare looks like and THIS is is!! I am aware of what CLEAN/SANITARY looks and smells like and THIS is it too.

I had a severe heel pain of my right leg for weeks and my husband made an appointment to see Dr…read more Cohn. He was his patient. I dealt with 3 people during this appointment and don't know the names of 2, the receptionist and the medical assistant to Dr. Cohn. I arrived on time at 1pm. While the receptionist was friendly, the medical assistant was soft spoken. Perhaps I am going deaf so I wasn't listening to instructions well. After the Xray before meeting Dr. Cohn, I was seated on a raised comfy chair. I was then told that the wait would be awhile. THAT took 40minutes. I prompted Dr. Cohn as to why the long wait. He was on a phone call with his boss. All I can say is I hope that call helped his issues while taking up my time (I should be charging him for the wait). After discussing what my issue was, he told me that I have tendonitis and that entails professional physical therapy, self exercise, Imodium medication, a pair of $55 "out of pocket" shoe inserts (ouch!) and a foot brace. The medical assistant asked what shoe size I wear and brought in a foot brace and the inserts. She took out the brace n fitted it on the "injured" foot. She DID NOT demonstrate on the use of all the buckled and velcro straps in details but did stress that my heel has to sit right up at the L of the brace. After examining the shoe insert, I decided that I was not in a hurry to invest in that and that a cheaper good quality version of that can be bought from Walmart, CVS or Walgreens. I picked up my Imodium and after arriving home, I tried the brace but could not figure out some of parts of the brace. Thank goodness for the You Tube channel, I found a demonstration on how to use the brace. I wonder how much I would have to pay for the brace after insurance deductions. The medical assistant needs to be told that some patients are not technology savvy and would not know to go to sources to see how gadgets are used. She seemed bored with her job. I left around 2.15.

You cant send my husband his bill via email because of HIPPA but you can discuss it out in the open with out him asking to make a point to him not knowing if we have a financial situation with a sick child etc its called stick to being a receptionist!!! A few weeks later I became limited! I called and was able to make an appointment for the same day. Even as a new patient the necessary accommodations were made for me to get into the office and receive must needed pain relief! Dr. Gould was very thorough and expedient during the first time patient 'interview' process. What was important to me was that I felt comfortable emotionally as this was my first visit to a chiropractor. He walked me through every procedure/exercise etc. that he created for my treatment plan. Within 45 minutes of my first visit I was feeling much better and smiling again. During the course of one week I was completely pain free and within three weeks my back was strengthened and better than ever. The office is fab and if you have never been to a chiropractor yet are in need of pain relief this is the go-to man! You can trust him and he will make your first visit comfortable and at ease.
