As someone who works on a computer full time for my job, I suffer from overuse injuries in my…read morehands, forearms, shoulders, and neck. This is an unfortunate side effect of my job. Other than leaving my job, I have to seek outside care/assistance in mitigating my pain. I've visited many different chiropractors in the last 25 years (been going since I was about 12 years old). I've been fortunate to have always found chiropractors that are well educated and know how to treat patients. I believe Dr Menner and Dr Allen run the best office I have ever been to for treatment. 1) They are on-time. Unfortunately, many chiropractors are consistently running late. I appreciate that most run on very slim staffs, often are the only doctor in the office, and want to offer proper care to their patients (ie not rushing), but this often means long waits in the waiting room. I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be seen. Generally, by the time I finish signing in and just sit down someone is ready to see me. When they bringing you into the treatment room, there is no additional waiting. They start working on you immediately. After the initial massage therapy (more on that later), you may have a few minutes of relaxing on the table, but generally the Dr comes in within a few minutes. Personally, I enjoy the extra few minutes to do some deep breathing and relaxing. 2) As mentioned above, ever visit you have the option of about 30 minutes of initial massage therapy. They will work on whatever areas will be treated. This helps ensure that your soft tissue is treated along with your bones. They are NOT just a "snap, crackle, and pop" type of office. The total treatment does take 45-60 minutes, but if you are rushed you can elect to just be adjusted. 3) The staff is extremely kind and they all seem to really enjoy their work and the work environment. 4) If you ask, they work with you to understand your insurance coverage and your out of pocket costs. 5) The visit is fully eligible for coverage by my insurance (obviously this varies according to your own insurance).

Cliff Notes version. One word? REFLEXOLOGY…read more About 4 years ago a friend told me he went for reflexology at Menner (think psychic foot massage). He told me the reflexologist told him that she knew he didn't eat vegetables. I was impressed--he's a meat and potatoes guy all the way. But I was floored to learn said reflexologist told his sister she was pregnant--before his sister even knew she was pregnant. So, naturally, I said--sign me up! It's not cheap. My husband got me a gift certificate. Upon entry they give you a survey of seemingly inane questions (ie. favorite color, favorite animal). The friendly reflexologist rubbed my feet...and told me my body was screaming out for iodine. I was like..."Ok. Maybe that's why I crave seafood. Interesting." Fast-forward about 4 years. After years of suffering from fatigue I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism...and Hashimoto's disease (auto immune disease that attacks the thyroid). What's the only part of your body that can make any use of iodine? Yeah--the thyroid. Call it coincidence if you must...but I'm a believer.

As soon as she walked into the room even before my X-ray evaluation began, she started with: I won't have time to answer a lot of questions. Then she spent maybe 3mins rushing over the two X-ray images, refused to go back to compare my old images, and actually said to me: "I don't have time to go over that." To be fair, I was 5mins late to the appt. But then not five minutes later I saw her at the front on her phone looking bored. Wtf? So you don't have time to actually oh I don't know take care of paying patients - you call yourself doctor after all - but have time to be on your phone looking bored at the front desk rather than actually use your degree and helping real people. My treatment recommendation didn't include electrical stimulation, which I really liked and helped a lot, and when I asked her for it she said that's not our recommendation. She tried instead to sell me acupuncture which is apparently what she does so of course given the "care" I saw from her so far, immediately declined. Unfortunate, bc I would like acupuncture as part of treatment just no way in hell I'm letting such a person "treat me" let alone bring sharp objects near me. You couldn't PAY me to let such an uncaring unprofessional clearly disinterested in patients "doctor" to poke me with needles, no thank you. Kind of actually hilarious you had the gall to ask that after your attitude. Dr. Parkin did my adjustment and when I asked for electrical stimulation of course immediately arranged it for me -- bc I don't know, maybe when a patient in pain says something helps with the pain, you should do something crazy, like listen? Their M-F schedule is also quite limited and doesnt align well with mine so btwn Rani and such restrictive schedule, looking for a good chiropractor who can do it all: adjustment acupuncture electrical stimulation and massage without any bad apples souring the whole treatment.
