I just wanted to take the time to recognize the staff at Thrive of Lisle, as they took great care of me. Shoutouts to CNA's Alan & Harrison; nurses Shirley, Mark and Gina. They are the best! Kellie from activities, Jerome and Sue are always roving the halls and engaging with residents. The positivity and enthusiasm of the staff is truly contagious, and made this long recovery journey easier for me. Therapists Susan, Ed, Keyenna and Tiffany have been helping me work towards my goal to be able to walk again and use my left arm. I love Thrive of Lisle, and the staff here. 2023 was easily the darkest time of my life. I nearly lost my life, and was not sure if I'd ever walk again, or be able to return to the career that I love. The staff at Thrive treated me like family. I can't tell you how much happiness and hope that CNA Alan, Nurse Shirley & Kellie brought into my life during this time. They are truly special people. I still come back to thrive and visit at least 4 times a year. It's rewarding for me to visit the current patients during activities time, as well as spreading positivity and encouragement. I also love seeing my extended family (the Thrive staff). My advice & words of wisdom for incoming patients and their families: * Advocate for yourself as the patient; if you're a relative; please advocate for your loved one. * Treat the staff with love & respect (I promise it'll come back to you ten-fold, and will be a much better experience for you & the staff this way.) * You might be shy at first, but take full advantage of the activities that Kellie puts together! From craft-making to group games; it's a fun time for everyone! (Even the patient's visitors are encouraged to participate). * It doesn't matter if you're bedridden, the staff will make sure to get you out to socialize, shower, or PT. You just need to communicate your needs to them early enough in the day. * Family: PLEASE don't underestimate the power of your visits. Frequent visits will greatly help your loved one as they strive to recover. I had at least 2 family members taking turns visiting me throughout each day. *Keep in mind, you ARE allowed to sit in on your loved one's physical therapy sessions. - Just ask the therapist as a courtesy* * Stay positive & Keep on thriving! Their suggestion was that he see a psychiatrist and be put on meds. Like seriously? As a mother, that's always a last resort, not a first option. Any problem behavior, they do not know how to handle and will call you to pick up your child early. All the the therapists are very young and seemingly right out of college. When you pick your child up, they will loudly give you an update in front of the whole waiting room which at times, has violated HIPAA laws. Also, as other reviews have noted, the billing dept is awful, they will not contact you if you have a balance, they just charge your credit card without authorization. They don't allow you to contact your insurance company to try and rectify it. They only state they will refund you later if needed. I had a balance of $95 that insurance erroneously didn't pay. Treehouse tried charging my card but it was an old card and didn't process. They called me 4 times within 20 minutes AND sent an email threatening collections if I didn't pay that day. What?!? Over 95 measly dollars I had no idea I even owed. No monthly statements or anything were ever sent. I would absolutely not recommend Treehouse. There are so many other reputable places to go to. Ones that actually care about you and your child and don't just treat you like dollar signs. I'm sure they will respond to this review with some sort of justification that they have done no wrong. But that is not needed, I am disgusted with this place and will be pursuing legal action for HIPAA violations.

UNTIL I found North Shore Pediatric Therapy. From day one they have been amazing and helpful. Communication is always easy and I always have my questions answered within hours. My son's therapists always let me know how he is doing after each session and even did their own full evaluations even though he has records from previous practices. My son has been making amazing progress in just the few weeks he has been here than anywhere else. However, after a MONTH of attending, she then informed me that she hadn't seen my daughter exhibit the behavior we were there for in the first place (which basically means I was paying $30 a week for my daughter to play in a ball pit and do the alphabet. Neither of which addresses our reason for being there). Throughout our time there, I made it very clear to all involved that as of August 20th, we would no longer be using them as my daughter would be starting kindergarten, and our time wouldn't work anymore. They offered several times to put me on a waiting list for a weekend time slot, which I declined as we live 45 min away. I had to cancel my daughter's last session and again reiterated that we wouldn't be back due to kindergarten. Well, come August 20th, I was charged $50 for a no show. They claim they had no idea we wouldn't be returning and say I never canceled our future sessions. I spoke to MULTIPLE PEOPLE. No one there communicates. Someone at the front desk even apologized saying they recently changed "some things around" and that things have been a bit "disorganized ". A BIT? So after multiple appeals on my end to get the $50 charge refunded, they simply reply to me, "the charge is valid and will not be waved." (Excellent customer service, right?) I mean they literally rob you. And guess what? After six total weeks there, I never even received a report or ANYTHING on my daughter (despite being told at the end of every session that one was being put together). I still haven't seen anything documenting what was done, observed, NOTHING. I mean they are truly unhelpful, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I have never been this disappointed nor dissatisfied with a professional medical office in my life. Stay as far away as you can.

I went to Team Rehab a couple of weeks ago for a complimentary injury screen, which I heard from…read moremy friend. I've had pain in my upper back and neck for the past 3 weeks, so I figured I'd give it a try. I met Dr. Oi at Team Rehab, who was very respectful and professional. He made me feel welcome when I walked into his clinic. He was very knowledgeable about my issue and was able to help me relieve my pain through educating me with stretching and strengthening exercises that I can do at home. He called me a week later to see how I was doing and I told him that the pain was gone. Team Rehab was great and I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
