When we saw that Peaks was putting on an event, we jumped at the chance. We checked in and got our skates easily. No waiting and service was friendly. They had two rinks open, and on one of the rinks, they had an area closed off where you could use red pens to write love notes on the ice. We drew pictures and notes alongside other couples and families, and when we were done it was fun to skate around and look at everyone else's. It's also pretty cool to know that you're skating on Olympic ice. Even more exciting with the Olympics coming up again. They also had food trucks outside, which is always a nice addition to an event. We really enjoyed everything overall, and hope they do more in the future. The only big con was they advertised a BOGO deal for the event, but they charged us full price.

I was standing with a few other women sort of waiting for someone to come out so we could enter I got the swimming pool area. I felt like I didn't want to waste time so I decided to go find an employee. When I did I got the attention of some guy who listened to my story about how the scanner wasn't working. And that I knew it wasn't a a card or membership problem. It was the scanner, I watched other girls try to get in as well. No one could. This guy made me scan my membership so he could check that I pay for this. It worked and then asked what the problem is and I explained the entire situation and then he said oh that sounds like a problem you need help and you can go ask that girl to help you. I was shocked and a little mad. He took no responsibility to help me or even explain to the next employee what needed to happen. I got the female employee to help me but I was so mad with this the male. It was not good. He wasted like 15 mins of my time. In total of explaining and waiting for the door to be open I think it wasted 25 mins of my night. I was not okay with this.

There are larger sporting good stores in Provo but Big 5 is home town themed and their service is top notch. Wasn't even enjoyable. Felt like I was in a hurricane. A worker says that's pretty usual so I wouldn't golf again at that time. Later the wind got better. Unfortunately we were golfing with a lawn mower in every single hole. I know they have their job but they'd see we need/want to chip on and we had to wait for them to put the flag back in, or they'd sort of be in our way. We played the back nine, so that's maybe why they were there. Still, wish a worker would've told us that was the situation. At the same time, the mowers were very nice as well and even helped us find our ball. The course is well maintained and I love the golf club house. Really nice and modern. Good day on the golf course. Curious if I would come back, but I did enjoy myself.
