A close up of material used in the shirts.

The employees are really nice and upbeat in a genuine way. I love their swift shirts. This might be tmi, but I'll share. At my age, I've started maybe getting hot flashes and sweating profusely. They have a silver infused line of tops that really help with comfortable sweat wicking and have anti odor technology that actually works. The material is the most comfortable of all sweat wicking materials I've ever worn. My picky 8 year old loves the material, as well. Extremely well made, though it didn't 100% stay intact in one of the knees when she went scraping them across the cement. Still excellent excellent quality. The shirts look, feel, and perform better than the lulumon equivalent with anti odor technology. Though, I do love the lulumon jackets.

This is the better location to go to. Friendly staff, nice selection. It's on the plaza so it is a nice area to grab dinner after.

I asked an employee if she could help me find the dress that was displayed on a mannequin in my size, as I had been unable to locate it on the sales floor. She told me that she needed permission to remove the dress from the mannequin and asked me to wait nearby. After waiting quite a while, I noticed another employee taking the dress off the mannequin while assisting two other customers. I approached her and explained that I had been waiting for that dress and had been told to stay nearby while the first employee got permission. She dismissed my concern, stated that no one had informed her, and proceeded to give the dress to the other customers. A short time later, I found the employee who was supposed to be helping me. She admitted that she had forgotten about me. When I tried to discuss the situation with both employees, they threatened to call security because, according to them, I was "making them uncomfortable." At that point, I left the store. It was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. I understand that this is a large retailer and that my review may not make a difference, but customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. The employees involved could have handled this situation much more professionally.

Finally another person arrived and helped us run sizes to the dressing area. But only when we sought him out. He was not attentive and no greeting. But during checkout it became disturbing because the guy behind the counter was downright creepy. I've attached a picture because a description just doesn't cut it. We couldn't understand a thing he was saying he would not speak up he was mumbling and his mask was so thick and large and his hair was hanging down you could not see his face at all. I think the company can do better with Representatives or tell this guy he needs to lighten up on his look at work. What was really an issue was the fact that you could not understand him or see his face. I'm not trying to pick on anybody for how they choose to look but when you're representing a store and you're behind the counter like this with your eyes hiding behind your hair and your face hiding behind a giant mask it's just not a good look.

I was really impressed by the sheer variety of food and shopping options. I specifically made the trip to visit the Made in KC store, and it was a total win--they have a fantastic selection of unique gifts if you're looking for something local. Getting here from downtown was a breeze via public transportation, which made the trip much more relaxing than worrying about parking. Whether you're here for the shopping or just the views, it's a KC highlight!

Lots of street parkings, parking lots and garages available all around. Street parking is free for 2 hours. It gets busy around afternoon to evening hours. There are all sorts of shops here including apparel stores, jewelry stores, gift shops, general and home goods stores. Among dining spots we saw Shake Shack, Panera, True Food Kitchen, Eddie V, Melting Pot, Kura sushi, Ocean Prime, Capital Grille and several other popular restaurants. We went to the Plaza on multiple days for shopping and eating. Some of the places we visited were Shack Shake, Bruu cafe, Lululemon, Rally House, Made in KC marketplace. Prices were mid to high depending on the location. The plaza buildings looked so pretty with their lightings at night. There was also a Fifa countdown sculpture since KC is a host city. The plaza area felt pretty safe and well maintained. Lots of security personnel were always available in each of the blocks.

George - Small but adorable dog area

So, I'm not quite sure what a "lifestyle store" is, but I think George supports the type of…read morelifestyle I'd like to live. This fantastic boutique doesn't have a ton of merchandise, but I want all of it. Well, not the ladies clothes, as I'm not a crossdresser. But if I were, I'd be a classy one and probably buy my clothes at George, too. Seriously, this store is nice! I'm impressed in particular by three areas: the pet stuff, their books and their dishes. Their little pet corner is small, but adorable. They had really great chew-toys, leashes, collars and dog bowls. The dog bowls would look fantastic in a modern home, and we plan on getting one of the collars for our pooch once her current one starts looking natty. Their collection of books is incredibly well curated. Lots of great cookbooks, cocktail guides and coffee table books. Also, they have a couple of kids books that certain parents would be way into, if you want your kids learning about CoCo Chanel and the like. Their dishes are all VERY nice (and quite expensive) and if I hung out with a higher tax bracket, I'd be hoping for wedding gifts from here. The store is just really pretty, as well. I was equally impressed with their fixtures and general ambiance as I was their merchandise. I'll be back for sure, as soon as I have some extra funds to spend on making my house look extra fancy.

George is on the same level as Manifesto is to drinking and bluestem is to eating.....locally owned with great attention to detail. George is a beautiful, open and fresh boutique and design store. Stop by and treat yourself to some visual stimulation and support this locally owned boutique store in the beautiful Crestwood Shops.
