This is a review based on 3 visits-the place is always busy so I kept thinking I was just there on an off night but I do not believe that is the case at this point. The first and second times I ate inside. The place really has a busy yet warm vibe. The staff has always been nice. The food however is just never right. The grilled Octopus was perfectly cooked the first time but so salty it was unpleasant. The second time I mentioned the salt because I wanted to enjoy it this time around and it was chewy n charred ( not lightly). The gyro was fine. The salad was nice but the dressing super oily. Last night I decided to try a falafel sandwich to go. I wanted tahini not Tzatziki and the voice on the phone said no problem but when I picked it up, they charged me 1.30 for the tahini. I questioned it three times saying I just wanted to substitute and she emphatically said no I can't. I went to my car and I thought about it and I was annoyed ...so I went back in and I said I don't want the whole thing! The manager said of course you could substitute it. She took two dollars off and was lovely...BUT... the problem when I got home was the sandwich itself....the toppings were sparse although it did have five falafel balls,....but they had some sort of crunchy circular grain in them that was not cooked.... It was a bizarre texture. The tahini itself was just liquidy and had no flavor.Since I did have the yogurt sauce as well I tried it and that was fine... (I need to find a place with good Tahini)..... They gave me a side that was huge ...lemon potatoes ... I normally really like these but another item which is just not my favorite from this restaurant as they taste like very over cooked boiled potatoes ...I've had them like this before so it might be a preparation technique.... but they don't taste very good... imho......also the telephone voice told me the sandwich comes with lettuce, onion, and cheese.....I said what kind of cheese and she said feta .....and I said that's odd but OK ....and tomato right and she said oh yeah tomato ...BTW...there's no feta as I wouldn't expect there would be it's just that the phone voice was not trained very well with the information.....Not giving it a fourth try!

Here we go, This restaurant gets 5 stars. Everything was perfect. That's a rare but the entire experience was amazing. I was in the area and notice this restaurant. I figured it had to be new so I thought hey something new let me try it. This is a Greek restaurant. The greatest decision I made that day. The restaurant opens up at 12pm . It's in a great spot. Jericho Tpke and Veterans Hwy in Commack. Right across the street is the new Bjs just open months ago. So my friend and I entered the restaurant it just opened. It was spotless. Smelled great , good vibrations. We were approached immediately and taken to a booth seat in the back. I think the server name was Shannon. Can't remember lol. I do recall her being extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Her suggestions were great. I started with the Orzo soup omg it was definitely delicious. First time tasting it. Amazing. I then had the lamb gyro which was sooooo good. It came with side of fries. But the dessert is what really makes it worth wild. I had the custard baklava. Oh my goodness. I took one bite , I was in heaven. Lol. The prices were moderate but it was well worth the 70 dollars. I will be going back soon with hubby.

This is not authentic Greek cuisine !! Being Greek myself the food was a disgrace. Not worth the money.

The…read morespace does have seating available, but it leans more like a takeout-style spot--but perfect for a n nice casual meal. We ordered both the falafel platter and the chicken souvlaki platter, and both delivered. The chicken souvlaki was perfectly cooked with a great grilled char that added nice flavor without drying it out. Comes with Greek salad, fries or rice. Rice was cooked nicely and the fries were perfectly seasoned with salt and herbs (oregano). The Greek salad was assembled closer to an authentic Greek salad. Fresh ingredients and none of the ridiculous leafy greens, and no black olives here! Rough chop with the right stuff; cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, green bell peppers, kalamata olives and feta cheese. My only critique on the salad was that it was crumbled feta and not the traditional block feta with drizzled, extra-virgin olive oil and oregano. Still better than most out there. Service was just fine--nothing over the top, but efficient and friendly enough to keep things moving smoothly. Overall, Twisted Greek is a good choice if you're in the area and craving flavorful, well-prepared fast Greek food whether you're dining in briefly or grabbing something to go. I'm happy to have found this place!

Today I happened to be in the area and stopped in for their prix-fixe lunch in the early afternoon, dining by myself. It was, once again, a very pleasant experience. They begin the meal with complimentary warm pita bread served with two spreads, a simple but welcoming start. I ordered the grilled octopus and the branzino, and finished with Greek yogurt for dessert. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed. What truly sets this restaurant apart, beyond the beautiful interior and relaxed ambiance, is the warmth of the staff. As soon as I walked in, Stephanie greeted me with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. She has a natural way of making guests feel comfortable right away. My server, Christian, was attentive, friendly, and professional, checking in regularly throughout the meal. In fact, the entire team is consistently courteous and attentive, which always makes dining here especially enjoyable. The first sign of trouble was the parking situation: we ended up nearly a five‑minute walk away in ten‑degree weather. This would have been the perfect night for valet service. On the positive side, our party of six was seated right away, and our server Josh was friendly and attentive. He let us know we could still order from the Restaurant Week prix fixe menu, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the timing of the meal derailed the evening. Appetizers took about an hour to arrive, and our entrées didn't come out until another hour after that. By the time we finished eating it was 9:30 PM and we were one of the only diners left. Josh apologized and explained that they typically serve around 250 guests on a normal night, but this evening they had more than 350 diners, which clearly overwhelmed the kitchen. The food itself was good--fresh, flavorful, and well‑portioned--and the prix fixe menu offered solid value. Still, the extended delays made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. Overall, I'm torn. There were positives, but the pacing of the night left me unsure how I feel about returning to Limani Grille

Big mistake. There are burgers joints everywhere. I went there to pick up a takeout (by the way, the menu has changed. The fried calamari, which was excellent is gone. It was fresh because they included the tentacles which you can't buy in the frozen rings which suck). It's dark inside, and the overwhelming stink of burgers doesn't mix well with the glorious smell of Greek food. Also, I bought the greek wings. Why do you put slimy onions and peppers on top of grilled wings? Totally disgusting. And my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. Dry garbage on a cheap bun. And stop using your old reviews which were good. I was sooo disappointed. Won't be going back.

As soon as we walked in, Francisco, the bartender, warmly greeted us and seated us immediately. Symi has a beautiful and elegant interior. It is a high-end restaurant, yet it remains very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the three-course prix fixe "Taste of Symi" lunch, which is one of the best-kept secrets on Long Island because it offers excellent value. I had the Mediterranean octopus followed by lavraki, while my husband ordered the horiatiki salad and Norwegian salmon cooked medium. We each finished with a scoop of chocolate gelato. They also began the meal with a complimentary bread basket and two delicious dips. The portions are very generous, both for the appetizers and entrées. My whole fish was deboned and butterflied open--moist and perfectly prepared. The octopus was tender and incredibly flavorful--honestly the best grilled octopus I've had anywhere. My husband equally enjoyed his meal. His salad was served in a large bowl and was more than he could finish. I tasted some myself and can say it was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, George, made the experience even better. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and attentive, and has a wonderful way of putting guests at ease. We have seen him consistently since the restaurant opened. He is always present and truly a great asset to this beautiful restaurant.
