This bookstore was mentioned as a highlight when visiting Greenwich and I was happy I found it. The two women who were working were passionate readers and had lovely conversations talking about books and authors. I would highly recommend a pop in to check out the selection and have a look again. The aisles are narrow but otherwise it was a lovely experience and I enjoy supporting an independent bookstore.

Dogwood is truly one of the best hidden gems in Greenwich- I stop here every time I'm in town! The…read morebookstore itself is excellent, with a great balance of religious books and contemporary releases (they always have current bestsellers). I tend to come here for Christmas and Easter gifts, because they always have a gorgeous selection to choose from- around Christmas, there are ornaments, decorative objects, Nativity sets, candles, and a huge range of other great gifts. There are also a lot of small toys and gifts that are perfect for children. The curation of the store is fantastic- it's perfect for items you won't find anywhere else, and it tends to be pretty affordable.

Slightly disorganized, with books, DVDs, and CDs here and there, I absolutely loved it. And what amazing prices!!!! They had a little bit of everything, including both paperback and hardback. Many of the hardbacks were only $1!!!! Considering you're going to pay $20-$30 for a new one, that's a heck of a steal. I managed to get 7 books for $16. I would have bought more but had to buy a bag just to get all of these home as it was. Support local!

They also have really cute accessories, book holders, bookmarks, and so many other little things. Definitely worth checking out!

This is the Barnes and Noble clearance store that's going out of business on 7/15. It's a month…read moreuntil they close and I went on a 5 for $25 Saturday. Yes, the store is pretty picked through. Some departments are better than others. For example, I was able to get popular kids books (The Babysitters Club and Goosebumps) with no issues, lots of baby books, extensive personal development, relationships, etc. section. It seemed like the only departments where I couldn't find ANYTHING were general fiction, mysteries/thrillers, and romance. TBH it's a clearance store so I didn't expect to have the best luck finding anything too popular. However, some people were in here bugging the staff about popular authors and new releases and didn't seem to understand the concept of a clearance store. At this point it's basically a treasure hunt. Manage expectations and only go if you're interested in discovering new authors while getting great deals. Anyways... I was also impressed that the cafe was still running and there was lots of seating. The staff seemed nice but overwhelmed. TLDR; treasure hunters welcome. Be aware it's not a normal B&N.

Good overall location…read more Don't let the outside throw you off - it looks small from the outside, but once you head down with either an escalator or an elevator, you can see the full size of this location. You can also access this from the side of the building down a flight of stairs. This one was busier than other locations I went to, though this was also on a weekend which might explain it. It's standard as far as what Barnes & Noble generally carries. What they don't have, they can always order for you. If you're looking for blu ray/DVDs, you won't find any here at all - which is a bit disappointing. They do have vinyl though. Only had interaction with one employee and he was friendly. Most others I saw were with customers. Located in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center mall, there is plenty of parking. It's a generally busy shopping area, so use caution in the lot.
