All three were fabulous, and each for different reasons! None of us were able to pick a single favorite. Kevin was very kind and very knowledgeable about wines in general, the "industry" side of the business, and the AVA regions in CA, etc. Seriously a great experience. Such a fun experience at Santa Margarita Ranch Ziplining! The adventure honestly starts the minute…read moreyou arrive. You check in at the main office downtown, then hop on a tour bus to the ranch property. Our driver was super informative and entertaining along the way. The drive itself felt like part of the experience with bumpy ranch roads, multiple gates, gorgeous scenery, and a real behind the scenes feel of the property. Once you arrive, the staff gets you geared up with all the safety equipment and everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and great with all ages. After gearing up, you take an old Army style jeep up the mountain and that ride alone was an adventure Super rickety, steep, and fun! We felt very safe the entire time because before every single zip line, the staff carefully checked everyone's safety gear and connections. There are 6 zip lines total and each one is different with spectacular views that change throughout the course. One thing to know is that you should be in reasonably good shape because there are mini hikes between some of the zip lines. There are lots of water stations along the course, which was great, but the experience is definitely active and you do not want to hold up the group. Totally worth it though and such a memorable Central Coast adventure for families, couples, teens, and adventurous kids!

We sat in the front and experienced "flying boat" - as in the boat was rocking so hard it left the water for a bit. Lesson learned for me - in choppy weather make sure to always ride in the back. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable and customer service was flawless. He knew the ocean very well. When he realized we were getting pretty nervous he made sure that the boat stayed in a position that limited the rocking. He kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. We saw whales, otters, birds, sea lions, and porpoises. It was amazing seeing them in the wild and they were beautiful. Make sure to dress in layers. It was cold in the beginning but warmer when we were heading back to the dock.

For example, there was some confusion at one of the wineries we visited in terms of how many people we had in our group as well as where to seat us. Having done Grapeline in the past. I was surprised at this hiccup. Our past drivers have been a bit more engaging as well. Overall, if this had been my first experience with this company I would not have booked again. I hope this was a one time occurrence, as I have enjoyed their tours in the past & hope that future tours will live up to what I have come to expect from this company.

Great value for the experience - plus, it was just the two of us with no one else joining us on the tour even though others could join, so it turned into a private experience for us! We visited three different wineries and they were all unique and interesting with a variety of wines. We visited Thacher (6 tastings plus a bonus pour of cider), Whalebone Winery (9 pours - wow!) and McPrice Myers (5 pours plus a bonus). Plus lunch, which was included in the price (sandwich and potato salad and cookie)!!! Great scenery and a beautiful day to enjoy our tastings booth inside and outside each winery. We also learned so much from each person serving us too. Michael also went out of his way to point out local restaurants and favorite bars and speakeasies in the area along the way. Finally, we left a sweater on the van and Michael called us to let us know and he drove back to return it to us. We really appreciated his kindness and great customer service.
