My interaction @ the previous location was not bad, however I left feeling a little disappointed. I made the appt. requesting a particular doctor only. They had me come to find that doctor I had requested was no longer practicing at that location and at first they didn't seem to want to facilitate my request to see this particular doctor at the new location. Fast forward to this week, at this new fabulous location with the doctor I requested and it was well worth the wait. This location is convenient with ample private parking. The office is nice, new and spacious. The staff is welcoming, very organized and accommodating. The most importantly, I was able to see the doctor I originally requested and left with the confidence that things will be handled going forward. Just A Note: Health is important and sometimes we are our only advocates. NEVER accept a "no/ can't" as a final answer. When it comes to your health and the physicians you would like to see. It is important to fight what you want and I find it very important when you feel comfortable with a doctor and can vibe through what may be some tense circumstances, that's important and gives you a peace that you're not just a claim # but person whom will be cared for properly.

It's Very unsanitary there. The wait time is just as bad. The office is small and cramped, hot and musty. There are plenty GREAT cardiologist to choose from even if you are considered low income. This doctors office should not be a choice at ALL!

They were all extremely professional and taking covid-19 safety precautions seriously. My sandal broke and this doctor was so cute, she gave me a pair of those nurse booties to go home. The receptionist were a bit cold and the one who's name was Desiree was downright rude. I called cause it wasn't all the way clear how to get to the office and she spoke to me over the phone like we had personal issues with each other. I walked in and she said "name" I said "hello " and She said "naaame?" like who's that rude this day and age ? I laughed to myself and left it alone. She was also having personal conversations at the TOP of her voice. I feel like the 2 girls At the front also made me wait longer than I should have being petty (appt at 2:30, got seen at 3 something there was only like 2 other ppl there at any given time) but that can also be all in my head . She's might be Bad reflection of the establishment she was cold , And rude and it wasn't even that busy. I'll be back at the end of July, hopefully they'll be kinder then. Results were explained and seeing pictures of my heart was beyond interesting. I made a promise to be skinnier by then so we'll see lol.

I love Dr. Markowitz. I'm so happy I did because he actually made me feel better, not only physically but happier to know that he genuinely cares about my well being. My coworker warned me that an appointment with him would likely take weeks to a few months to receive but his administrative staff, Michelle and Kathy, are so great and I was able to see him a few days after my first call to the office. They are on top of his schedule and they call patients when openings become available so as to accommodate. I work in the medical field so I know we can be hypochondriacs but I trust him enough to not second guess his opinions or directives. It is refreshing and calming to know that my doctor wants me to be well as much as I want to be well, to listen to my concerns and address them and make me feel as though I have a part to play in decisions about my health care. I am so happy to have found Dr. Markowitz. He is a treasure to the field of medicine. More doctors should carry themselves, professionally, as he does.

I spent almost a day researching GI docs in the New York area. I made two appointments...one with Dr. Markowtiz and one with some other doc. Both doctors I met with have mega-credentials and are in the "Best Doctors in America" book. However, the first guy I saw was way too fast and seemed to have no empathy for me at all. He was part of a faculty practice at Mt. Sinai and had some lady doing her fellowship meet with me for the majority of the visit. I did not wait several months for an appointment to meet with some random woman doing her fellowship. Then I went to see Dr. Markowtiz. It took me like 3 or 4 months to get an appointment with him....but I was fine with waiting...as this was not pressing. Dr. Markowitz is a very personable down to earth doctor who takes his time and listens to what you have to say. He saw me personally, not some assistant or resident...it was only him. I could tell right away that this guy is an absolute pro. He did the procedure, which was nothing and I'm fine. I highly recommend Dr. Markowitz. From what I gather, he is one of the best GI docs in the country. And on top of that, he is a nice guy.

You can never get through on the phones. They pick up and then put you on hold until you hang up because you no longer want to wait for them to pick up. The office is small times there is not available seat. It's just the worst. Oh and then there are patients that are traveling out of the country that come in for shots and pay cash they will be seen immediately. No even gonna mention the patients that are Spanish speaking that get the ladies in the front to move them to the top of the list. Hahaha. Yep So like I said she's a good doctor but it's not worth the BS you have to go through to be seen. So if you still want to give it a try, remember "You've been warned"
