A wonderful building on top of that…read more Wow, I really want to have a review giving kudos to a single person, but I'd have to list everybody that I have worked with. If I have to exclude everybody else, fine, John is awesome! He makes amazing coffee. But if I was going to be realistic, I would have a list of their entire staff in this review. My biggest complaint may be the AC in the sales section, it tends to get way too warm during the hot days, which is disappointing. The range experience is great, when I ask for something exciting to try, they always have an honest answer and something new to try out. Additionally, their RSOs are awesome when on the range, always offering their time and suggestions. It's great having an expert provide solicited advice. The club is also great, they are really making the best out of their space and offering. I do wish that they would hold non-club special events in the event space rather than the lounge, but to be honest, most members are hanging out in the range rather than upstairs in the lounge, so it spends a lot of its time with low occupancy, which is great for members that want to get some work done between range visits. I look forward to trying out their outdoor ranges, they just opened up to members and I hope to try them out soon!

This members-only club offers pistol and rifle ranges, so you must join to use the facilities. Unfortunately, they don't have a website, but I found their Facebook page [here] (https://www.facebook.com/ecsainc). The club also has an archery range near the clubhouse, though I only saw one target. To get there, drive down Ferry Lots Lane in Salisbury to the end, open the gate, and continue until you see a building on the left behind another gate. I was told membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the clubhouse. Attending a meeting might be a good way to learn more about joining. The clubhouse is easy to find once you're on the grounds, but it's only open to officers and special events, which means paying members don't have access to it for general use. This seems odd since members are paying for it. Membership fees are double the regular dues, which is unusual compared to other clubs that charge less or no additional fee for new members. To reach the range, walk to the right of the clubhouse. Some abandoned vehicles were on both sides, giving the area a neglected look. Beyond these is an open field where you can shoot rifles, pistols, and shotguns. There are no clear boundaries between the ranges, so shooters might have to share the same shooting line. Despite some safety concerns, limited clubhouse access, and no bathrooms, the grounds are decent for shooting, especially if you're alone or with a friend. However, the range is closed to all members during hunting season, which is inconvenient.

I was looking up the location because they were talking about getting together soon. I would rather shoot my bow that shoot my pistol. I'm not comfortable with having the pistol range "Down Range' of the rifle range. There is so much land there. Why don't they have just a rifle range and just a pistol range. Why combine the two? I am sure the club has rules, but so much can go wrong with the way those ranges are setup. Otherwise, I didn't go into the club house so I can't speak of it. I did like that water along the side and one thing I will do with my buddies is to do some fishing there.

A hidden entrance, a long dirt road, a log cabin-style building, and some cleared ground. They have both an archery/trap range and a rifle/handgun range, but it's all self-directed, which I'm not really used to. We came with friends who are members and knew to bring their own everything. I've never been to a range before that doesn't have eye and ear protection available to rent or buy, so make sure you're prepared before you come. I had a few major safety concerns, which didn't end up being a problem because we were alone. But considering some of the people that show up to other ranges, I'm surprised I haven't heard about any injuries here. When you walk toward the rifle ranges, you are actually downrange. There is a paper sign warning you to look out for people shooting at you. This is terrifying. The path should definitely be widened so you're not in the direct line of a stranger's fire. *EDIT: I heard they're actually working on this. The rifle ranges are a set distance, with lines suspended for pinning targets. There is no pulley system, so to check your accuracy you actually have to walk downrange. If there is someone else shooting near you, you have to interrupt their session or wait. Pulley systems aren't expensive, and they would allow some flexibility in the length of the bay as well. Overall, it's a fun place to shoot because it's informal, but with nobody watching you it's easy to skip safety steps. I'll probably still join, but I hope everyone remembers that they are holding something that can easily injure and/or kill the people around them.

Best shop I've had the pleasure to work with!!!…read more I've been out of the archery scene for awhile due to life changes, injury, etc. Decided I wanted to dip back into things and needed the bow tuned along with some new arrows etc. I'm a target archer...not a hunter....and decidedly out of practice. It's a touch embarrissing to walk into a busy shop with so many capable archers and be so shaky at full draw. (My fundamentals are okay but I need some conditioning.) The new owner Jon (and, it must be said, his supporting staff) have simply been fantastic!!! Zero judgement!! Didn't make me feel small for not arriving with a camo painted 80lb hunting bow that I could hold at full draw for 10 minutes LOL (despite it being the start of hunting season when they're undoubtedly buried with work from that market segment.) His staff was welcoming & friendly to a person and he himself took a direct interest in my target gear, my target focused setup, and he spent more time than I should have expected talking setup, next steps, making recommendations, offering choices, and discussing with genuine interest, my goals and objectives on the indoor range. I'm a fan! If you are into archery, have thought about it, or just need something for your setup....these guys (and ladies) are the real deal matter what your focus might be! One encounters such good service so infrequently these days that I'm looking for more to "support my local sheriff! Gratitude to Jon and his staff!

New Ownership within last 2 years…read more I could not be happier with my crossbow and the service I received going in to East Coast Archery. Jon sat me down and showed me the options and compared the different models showing me the differences, pros and cons. They have a huge selection of crossbows and compound bows. He had me shoot the final 3 crossbows I was trying to decide on. He again sat with me to make sure I understood how to properly use it and then we the used a Chronograph and dialed in the cross bow. Prices are excellent and service is second to none. If you're looking for a great shop East Coast Archery is the place for you.

This is my 2nd time here at Artemis and I'm bummed that I did better back then compared to now. I got 3 bullseyes, but not in the same round. Orientation is quick too. Donna tells us about safeties, sign things here and there. (Please come 5/10 mins before the appointed time so you don't waste it doing all this. Afterwards, you get to shoot a balloon, into a cup and just the marker without anything on it. It's so satisfying when you hit the objects too! My recommendation would possibly add 1 extra arrow, 4 is too quick for some of us.
