I also appreciated how fair they were with pricing. They realized that upon arrival the kitchen line clean out was inside the house, and noted that this would normally cost more due to the additional setup and cleaning involved. Despite this, they honored the original quote and did not increase the price. Our technicians, Logan and Bradley, were professional, respectful of our home, and careful not to damage anything or leave a mess while efficiently completing the job. What also stood out was the honesty. There were no high-pressure sales tactics or attempts to upsell additional work. Instead, Logan gave us a straightforward assessment of what to watch for in the future and walked us through potential options and their ballpark costs. This was a stark contrast to another plumbing company I had used previously, which told me I needed to replace the entire main line. Logan showed me the camera footage and confirmed the main line was actually in good condition and that he did not anticipate any significant work needed. I'm grateful, however, that I only agreed to change two out of four, I really only needed to replace one that was leaking, but got talked into doing the second one. I tried to discuss this issue with them but they wouldn't return my call. I'm extremely disappointed in this company. And would NOT recommend them. We had to call multiple times throughout the morning just to find out where our technician was and when they planned to arrive. Once they finally arrived, I was quoted $900+ just to diagnose the source of a leak. I told them I had already received another quote for $700 that included both diagnosing and repairing the leak. They agreed to match the price, but the situation only got worse from there. After their inspection, they determined the leak was actually related to the HVAC system, not a plumbing issue. Instead of being honest and simply referring me to an HVAC professional, they still wanted to charge the full amount despite the problem being outside their area of expertise. What makes this even more frustrating is that the source of the water appeared to be obvious. The leak was coming from the attic, and there was visible water present. Charging $700 simply to determine that the issue was related to the AC system feels excessive and unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, I was told they had "done their work." In my opinion, a reputable company would have been upfront about their limitations, referred me to the appropriate contractor, and charged a fair amount for the time spent. Between the three-hour delay, poor communication, and what felt like an excessive charge for a diagnosis that did not result in a repair, I cannot recommend this company.

Shortly afterward, he informed me that he did not have the proper materials with him but assured me that if I was comfortable with a $2,000 repair, he would return the next day and fix the problem. The technician returned the following day and began the work. Not long after, I received a call stating that the pipe underground was "outdated" and that the only solution was to run an entirely new main water line from the street to the house at an estimated cost of $20,000. Needless to say, I was shocked. Just one day earlier, I had been told with confidence that the leak could be repaired for $2,000. I informed the technician that I would need time to consider my options. At that point, he stated that he needed payment for the work already performed, so my wife wrote him a check for $1,000. When I returned home later that day, I found that my concrete had been jackhammered, my lawn had been torn up, my drip irrigation line had been cut, and a sprinkler line had been damaged. In other words, I paid $1,000 to have my property left in worse condition than when Orange Coast Plumbing arrived. Based on my experience, this felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic designed to upsell a customer from a $2,000 repair to a $20,000 replacement project. I ultimately hired a third-party plumber who evaluated the issue and successfully resolved it. In addition, I obtained three separate quotes for replacing the same main water line, and they ranged from $7,500 to $9,900. That is a far cry from the $20,000 price quoted by Orange Coast Plumbing. Before posting this review, I made multiple attempts to contact management to discuss and resolve the situation directly. Unfortunately, my concerns were not addressed. I would have preferred to settle this matter privately, but since that effort went nowhere, I feel obligated to share my experience so other homeowners can make informed decisions. I cannot recommend Orange Coast Plumbing based on my experience.
