DreamMaker Southern Lakes - Dream Small Kitchen Upgrade

DreamMaker Southern Lakes

(1 review)

DreamMaker of Southern Lakes is fantastic. A++. We wanted to remodel a bathroom. The entire…read moreprocess was painless. We worked with Mary on our design. Once that was completed and agreed to, we worked with Andrew, the installer. These two are beyond professional. Andrew would show up each day at the agreed upon time. Not early, not late...exactly on time. He was polite and very neat. This was a bathroom on the second floor and there was no mess anywhere. Floors were covered. Carpet was protected. Work proceeded quickly. After the first day, Mary followed up to make sure there were no issues that we were concerned about. She did the follow-up a few more times over our project just to make sure we were happy. When necessary, other DreamMaker employees would help Andrew with the heavier objects. Riley and Jay were very nice, personable and professional. Their plumbing sub was again very good and he did some upgrades to make sure our plumbing was protected from freezing. No extra charge...they just make sure everything is done right. We are so happy with how the process went that we are working with Mary on remodeling our kitchen. The biggest positive with DreamMaker is they do 90+% of the work with their own employees, so we did not have to deal with a bunch of different subs. No tiling sub. No electrical sub. No painting sub. That makes the whole process very easy and smooth! Jack & Gayle G Burlington

After recommendation from a friend, we stopped into the store. Verlissa, the designer, helped us…read more We had already picked out tile for the bathroom of our bedroom., so she helped us from there. Planning went well and they scheduled to start after Thanksgiving. Mike, the builder, did most of the work. His work is pretty good. I would rate it a B. He could have worked to cover our bedroom furniture from dust, and cover the floor better, but it was not horrible. The company did not charge us for all of they drywall that was replaced, but I was told it was easier to replace it all rather than try to patch in with what was left of the old stuff. Their painter botched the job. He did not clean the roller of lint and left a huge amount of lint all over the newly replaced walls. He came and repainted, and still only did a mediocre job. We paid $100 more for it to be painted again to do another coat to fix his mess, and to change color (our choice). The painter did not cover all the walls well so they sent someone out again. Overall: *Verlissa was very good and was a strong communicator. *Mike's work was pretty good- we would use him again. *The painter - poor- all three times he came. *Time: While we were annoyed by the last parts of the job getting done, the main part of the job got done quickly. They should have followed-up and finished the repaint more quickly. *Cost- we are not really sure. This was our first remodel job. We feel we got a fair price.

Verlissa and her team at Kitchen & Bath Authority in Wheaton, IL have done an outstanding job…read morerenovating my master and guest bathrooms. They replaced the shower, vanity counter tops, and flooring. They installed new vanity lighting and painted the walls and woodwork. From design to implementation to final touch ups, this turn-key project was perfect! KBA took care of measuring, procuring, transporting, and installing the materials. This included a custom glass shower door that is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Verlissa and her team! Don't be confused! The negative reviews here are for a different company in a different state that is not related in any way to Kitchen & Bath Authority / KBA in Wheaton, IL.
