Overall, things went smoothly and I'm happy with the products I received, but there are a few areas…read morefor improvement. Communication is key.  I visited Lowes on Saturday 8/29. Initially I had a hard time finding a sales associate. Once I did locate one, he said he would be with my shorty. He was not with me shortly and I was actually on my way out the door when he finally flagged me down. After answering a few basic questions (is delivery free/included, is second floor delivery alright), I decided to purchase a range microwave, refrigerator, and oven. Signs all over the appliances said next day delivery in most cases. This was not true for my purchase in more ways than one, which I didn't learn about until midway through the checkout process. First, the microwave wouldn't even be available until 9/14. Second, the sales associate wanted the fridge and oven delivered on Monday 8/31. I'm a busy professional, I can't just take off work like that on the fly. My first suggestion is offering weekend delivery. We were able to set up delivery of all three items for Monday 9/14, but this also felt more complicated than it should have been as one team would deliver the fridge and oven, while another the microwave. I was told by the sales rep that I would receive a call the night before with time range options. I received a call on Sunday afternoon from the gentleman delivering the microwave. He asked if between 12-3 on Monday 9/14 was okay and I confirmed it was. Later that night, I received a text (not a call from a person), ASSIGNING me a delivery time of the other appliances from 2-6pm on Monday. This was not okay as I would have preferred an earlier delivery, since I had to take off work for this. That team didn't arrive until after 5pm, which wasted my precious vacation time from work. To me, this shows that Lowes does not value my time. This brings me to my second suggestion, allow customers to schedule the time range when the select the date at the time of purchase (or at least morning vs evening). Both teams did a nice job, but the gentleman that delivered the microwave was perfect (rating, 10/10). He was punctual (arrived right at noon), polite, efficient, and respectful of my property. The second team arrived three hours into their window (which was also late in the day), were not the best communicators, and while respectful of the property, were not perfect (some large chunks of Styrofoam left out on the driveway, dirt on carpet), (rating, 8/10). The second team was also a little pushy (going as far as to right their names in large print on the front of my new oven's paper manual) and a reminder about leaving them a 10/10 rating, which made me uncomfortable. Again, they did a nice job, and I would say the installation went well, but 10/10 is perfect and they were not perfect.   To reiterate, my biggest hesitation with choosing Lowes again is the timing of the appointments. Not the greatest/convenient for busy professionals. In terms of stars, I would think this would be 3/5 or average, but maybe I have high expectations?

Lowe's has a pretty good website so ordering online would be okay, but when we needed a sink for…read morethe kitchen we wanted to see what they were like in person. They only have some of the kitchen sinks they offer online here at the store and it's an odd subset of their total offerings limited by size and brand. In other words, there are no examples of some common kitchen sink sizes, nor do they have samples of some of the brands they sell. The display is such that we couldn't get a hand on them to feel thickness, sturdiness, padding, or surface feel because they were mounted high up on a display wall out of reach. There were a couple of workers in the area but they were engrossed in a personal conversation and didn't have time to help us. Still, better than the other big box DIY stores.
