In order to write a review I had to give this store a 1 star rating and they deserve a 0 rating for their customer service. Yucca and surrounded areas have a lot of service members so when you greet a service active duty or retired there should be some sort of professionalism. Sir or ma'am works wonders when greeting someone. Using the term "brother" or "man" can be seen as disrespectful to many people. So when a customer asks you to not refer to them as brother you should stop instead of proceeding to insult someone. Jose the store manager thought it was okay to disrespectfully to refer to a customer as "brother" even when he was kindly asked not to. When the customer had to say "please stop calling me brother" Jose told him to leaves. THATS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. Have more respect for people. read more

Today I was there to add a second phone which I need for hiking and several medical devices. Lucas helped me figure it all out, find the best price and best device for various apps. Stole my wife's phone: Misinformed my wife on multiple occasions about the upgrade plan. The guy didn't have any idea what he was talking about. He said she had to pay in full for the phone plan, then he said she couldn't get a discount because she paid in full for the phone plan so she needs to contact support. Support said to return the phone, but she couldn't return the phone because he wouldn't let my wife return the phone? He said to come back Wednesday then he said she couldn't return the phone at all. Then he put her on an insurance plan we never asked for. This isn't legal and I'm reporting them to the FTC. read more

If they have the chance to make you wait for any processing or changes; they'll make you wait double, or triple, so they will have change to make more sales or just hanging out with their buddies. I agree worst customer service ever. Spent three hours waiting and getting tidbits of time with manager Raymond as he walked away in the middle of conversations. He would come back and say so were are we, and as I was asking an new question because he left me hanging, he sarcastically said, "I have already told you same the data plan 4 times". But each time he left something out that conflicted with either our current plan or what the AT&T people said on the phone. Absolute nightmare dealing with Fritz. AT&T has great service but this location is sloppy and sketchy. I opened an account but I shortly found out that I was misled on what I would be paying for. Then I planned to purchase a new phone which Fritz told me he would hold one for me the next day. Don't get att service if you live in yucca valley. No LTE and 4G has slowed the past 3 years. Assume because more people using data locally. 0.5 Mbps downloads compared with 30-50 for Verizon. Once they install LTE I would recommend again. I am stuck with att because have to pay off phones. read more

Spent all day around yucca valley going to Verizon, metro, and calling around trying to find an unlimited hotspot option and found nothing... Gave up and went to Petco to look for fish instead. Left feeling defeated and then noticed at&t (totally forgot they existed) so I thought I'd give it one more try... Wow is all I can say. We walk in and there is one worker helping another couple. She says hi and we wait for a few minutes. When she is done helping the 2 ladies the women leave screaming how happy they are with Amanda and how she was so helpful and fixed their problem. She did not disappoint us either. Honestly the best experience I've had in a really long time. VERY knowledgeable about all the products and plans and got us what we were looking for all day in just a few minutes. Highly recommend you ask for Amanda. Worst AT&T store ever both Raymond and Chris are extremely unprofessional and rude. I received 2 emails stating someone had changed my password on my account but it wasn't me. Of course I called the corporate number and the call center was closed. I decided to call the store. Raymond answered the phone. I said hi Raymond I dont mean to ruin your day but...Raymond just hung the phone up! Being the nature of my concern was Fraud I drove over there. I asked the boy if he was Raymond he said yes. I said so you are the one who hung up on me. He said I never hung up on you which was a bold faced lie. He just didn't expect me to show up and had it not been a matter of security I wouldn't have gone over there but I was highly concerned about my account. I let Raymond know I would be recording everything. I waited patiently for him to finish with his other customers. When it was my turn I told him about the emails, he asked what my password was and signed into my account. He said your password hasn't been changed. I asked why then did I receive the emails. He said those are probably fraudulent emails because that isn't our number. I informed him that I called that number and he went so far as to say well anyone can say they are att. This was Another bold faced lie, it was and is the corporate number. You would think knowing he was being recorded would bring out some act right but oh no that would've shown professionalism. Instead, Raymond started to become combative and raised his voice saying I can refuse service and asked me to leave but not before saying I was standing too close to the other customers. Then hypocritically Raymond took his own mask off in the store to reveal a devilish grin. He thought it was funny that I was concerned about the integrity of my account and did nothing to help. I will definitely be shopping for another provider. Att won't help you if your account is compromised which means they can't be trusted. I can't stay with a company that condones the behavior of Raymond and Chris plus I'm still worried about my account. There was no resolve so for a whole evening someone could have access to my account which has credit card and banking information in it and they won't help me. I will be calling corporate, I have a video of Raymond taking his mask off and smiling at me. I'm still not really sure what his problem was he just did not want to be helpful. Completely atrocious behavior, and not only that but I'm a business owner and that is what we call a liability. If in fact any of my information has been stolen because of Raymond's refusal to help in a matter regarding security it will make att and Raymond responsible for any damages sustained. Horrible experience! Called them after being told by an AT&T phone rep that we needed to go to a store to activate our phones. I described the situation and the guy I talked to said they would be able to activate our phones and port our numbers without downtime, just as the phone rep had promised, so I jumped in the car and drove to Yucca. When I arrived 30 minutes later from JT, the guy I'd talked to was no longer there and the guy in the store was completely clueless. He said not only might we experience up to 48 hours of downtime but it may not be possible to transfer our numbers from our current provider at all! On top of that, he refused to honor the no-activation-fee offer AT&T was running. He claimed the offer was good only for tablets, so I pulled up the AT&T website on my phone and showed him where it says the offer applies to both tablet and smartphone activations when you bring your own device. He just shrugged and said, "well, we waive activation only for tablets." He was expecting us to pay $140 (2 x $70) for something that's supposed to be free. I think not. I suggest you avoid this store at all costs and definitely don't believe anything they tell you on the phone. I ended up wasting an hour and a half, not to mention gas money, because of their incompetence. read more

There was some misunderstanding regarding an employee discount as per my job - and Ray and Fritz went above and beyond the call of duty to help me rectify this situation. After spending several hours at great length and to no avail with the corporate sales team - it was more than refreshing to have some concerns assuaged by these guys at the retail location. The customer service here is poor at best. We were told to drive to Palm Springs to get something done. Once I was done there the person that helped us said that all of what he did could have been done in the Yucca Valley store. Basically we made a 35 minute drive for something that could have been done here because the person working was more concerned about them self then the customer! The reviews for this store are so bad, I had to leave one. I needed a new phone, I went online, and AT&T said the nearest store that had it, a very popular new iPhone, was palm desert! I could either drive there, or wait for shipment. Lame! I called the yucca store, and they said they had the exact phone that I wanted. They said they could hold it for 1 day. I came in a few hours later, they had the phone, it was the correct one, they hooked me up, and I was on my way! No issues. No drama. Maybe other reviewers were actually having issues with att policy? Lemme tell you, NO phone provider is going to be great, but the att network is solid, and my many years of patronage has been mostly hassle free. Don't be afraid to go to this store. Came in, had an issue, had to come back in to get a phone that was never delivered. Before coming in, I called and spoke specifically with Fritz who told me don't worry, i can guarantee I have a phone core you, I will take care of all of this. So I come in, and not only am I told he can not help me because AT&T never had my phone delivered-a blatant error on their part that they already took responsibility for- he tells me he can help me if I add ANOTHER line and PAY AGAIN for Another phone. So basically, because of their error, he wants me to give MORE money to AT&T. He's rude, cocky, and has a complete disregard for costumer service. If I could, I would give zero stars because of him. Started a contract, and every month since the start of the contract, the bill has been 20-50% higher than the originally quoted monthly payment. They charge you $40 to change your phone number, $40 when your phone is allegedly disconnected despite the fact that the payments are automatically withdrawn from my account. Customer service is awful and does not help. To top it off, AT&T does not offer more than a bar or two (if you are lucky) of service in Yucca Valley. And since I live in Twentynine Palms, the last two weeks I have been unable to use my service because their cell tower is out. They said they would fix it last week and it is still not fixed a week later. If you must go with AT&T, do yourself a favor and stay with a prepaid plan. A contract with them is simply a license to charge you whatever they want. Once the contract is finished I will never use AT&T again. Update: this month I had an arrangement to postpone the bill for three weeks til the end of the month. About two weeks into the postponement is when the tower in 29 allegedly went down. The service i received at the store was not bad. Service was friendly. I ended up returning the item i bought because i ended up not needing it. I had paid cash, the policy is to refund you with a check by mail which is very inconvenient, which takes 10-14 business days. Those days came and went so I called to see if they would track it and see what was going on. The lady i spoke with told me it in fact hadn't been that long which was not true, so in my eyes she refused to help me. She told me to call back in a week if I hadn't received it. I called back 2 weeks later and they tracked it and found out that they DID NOT send the check yet. Today I called and spoke with the same lady I spoke with previously and when I asked her to find out what was going on with the refund she said " UUUGGGHH, hold on, they should have sent it let me call the HR department." I had a problem with my phone (it wasn't ringing) and Michael at this yucca valley store was incredibly helpful, friendly, and considerate. He really went above and beyond to do troubleshooting, calling At&t technical support for me, and stuck with it for a whole hour until the phone was fixed. What wonderful staff and a nice, clean pleasant store. Seems like they had a good selection of accessories too, but when they didn't have a headset that fit my phone they sent me over to a different competitor. Ms. Patrick, the manager, was saving it for a friend and teacher, Mr. C, my wife was told that there was no "reserving and only 1 phone per person." I was with ATT for over 5 years then decided to try another provider for a couple of months. This store was great when I was porting my number back to ATT on Monday, but 3 days later they were clueless as too why my data transfer rate was super slow. An employee even tried his phone with similar results. He told me that was as good as it gets. I asked for a refund and was told there was no refunds on prepaid. I went next door to Sprint and got 140 times improvement in speed. ATT was 8.1k in the store and Sprint was 1204k less than an hour later. Now because I prepaid for the month, and the account was closed (when I ported my number to Sprint) I can not get a refund according to corporate but it would have been possible if the account was still open. I was never informed that there was a no refund policy when I went to prepaid. Unless your paying a bill, go to a real ATT store. They used to be good when John was working there. read more
