Not off to a great start. Lisa was really helpful in getting internet with AT&T added to my account during my recent move. But I was told that the equipment would arrive by 2 pm so I could establish my internet (self-install, since I was "eligible" for self-install--lucky me) but when 3:30 came and went and nothing had arrived I called the store only to find out that it would be delivered by 5. I confirmed that using the tracking number I was given; 5 pm, then. They tried to pass that off as the fault of the courier, and I get that it is FedEx delivering it and not AT&T, but why give a precise time estimate like that around which people might plan their day when you have zero control over it? Because either AT&T does have some measure of control, in which case some of the blame for this lies on them, or they have zero control and they amount be telling people anything more exact than "we expect it to arrive by the end of day on X day". We'll see how this pans out but I'm starting off pretty unhappy. Editing to add: Since it's 5:02 and there's no sign of the internet device arriving, I checked with the tracking number Lisa provided me. It now says it will arrive by the end of the day. Last time I was here to add a line with the same plan as my other phone but the guy added everything. $112 dollars extra added to my line. I had an issue with my phone not working and I went to the Rolling Meadows AT&T store. and the manager,Ed took a look at my phone and with in a short time he asked me have I dropped my iphone into some water and I told him yes. He studied my phone some more and told me it was a rice kernel. he was so calm and collective and I told him thank you and the whole staff was nice. can you remove the Colonel put adapter to my phone and it work. Call the minute I walked into rolling Meadows AT&T store, The atmosphere was so pleasant, calm and friendl. Little did they knew I worked for At&t for over 18 years. The best training I ever had to this day. The genuine character professionalism courtesy and intelligence was so impressive. they did not try to push Products to me or force me to buy anything. When I walked in things were pretty busy but the manager made sure to check in with me and let me know how long the wait would be and worked with me to make sure I would get connected with someone in the timeframe I had available. I then worked with David and he went above and beyond to provide me options for what I was looking to solve, found me a ton of savings across all of my AT&T accounts and made sure I was happy when I left. My Story is long but I will offer a clipped version. First and foremost I must thank Jose, Omar, Aridian, Dave, and Phillip. Dave never assisted me but he sure did try but due to the complicated issue I told him I would prefer to speak with the gentlemen that I had been working with and he was so gracious and understood. I lost my phone in an Uber car. (Friday) Reported it lost/stolen with Jose in the store so I could file with the insurance company. I went home and ATT Customer Service denied the claim two hours later because they said the phone was in use. It was on and still in the Uber car as I could see it on my tracking app. (Saturday) I went back to the store and Jose helped me again. He was so welcoming and eager to help me. So kind and caring. Mind you these calls he had to make were long and arduous because we had to repeat the same story over and over and over...etc. This time we got the right person on the other end who understood that we wanted the phone blacklisted so the insurance company could process the claim and get the replacement phone to me. The phone came the next day. (Sunday) I went back to the store and Omar stepped in to help me download all my old stuff and ensure the old phone was disabled. This took over an hour but he was so helpful and caring. (Monday) The next day the Uber driver returns my phone (4 days later) so I rush back to the store to try and fix this mess I created. Omar was there and jumped right in to help. We called the appropriate people, or so we thought to arrange the shipment of the new phone back to the insurance company and the changing of the chip in my old phone. All seemed to be fine with the world as I had returned the new phone within 5 days however 1 week after we reported the phone found and requested they halt all blacklist and deactivation my account was suspended. This was the following Sunday, I went back to the store on the Monday after they shut the phone off and Adrian assisted me this time and made yet another call with hopes this one would clear it up. I left and my phone worked for 2 hours then deactivated again. I went back to the store on Tuesday and Jose stepped in this time and make MORE calls. He told me that it could take up to 48 hours or more to get the blacklist / deactivate status removed. Now mind you, I am furious with ATT Customer Service on the phone as it seemed that they never truly listen to what our request was because each time one of these gentlemen contacted them, we had to make several more calls to clarify. Now I was there for every call and the issue was made quite clear from the onset. It is sad when your own company works against you. But, these professionals handled every one of my visits with care and concern. SO, here I am waiting (my only means of communication) and it's been 6 days without a phone. I go back to the store and Phillip steps in to help. He showed genuine empathy and was eager to get to the bottom of this. After much research and entries, my phone was working. It appears that the IT team had done what they needed to do the day before however the customer (Me) was not alerted nor was the phone activated after they removed the blacklist. Phillip was able to activate it very quickly and personalized the assistance and provided me his card with his cell to contact him the next day to let him know all was still ok. If it had not been for the knowledge of these representatives from the ATT Rolling Meadows store, the kindness, care, and more than anything WILLINGNESS to help me I would be staring at my laptop trying to figure out the website that kept telling me to contact Customer Service to resolve this particular issue. Sometimes the phone reps forget their is a real person with real lives and real issues on the other end. My thanks to Jose, Omar, Adrian, Dave, and Phillip for assisting me endless times and for making me feel valued as a customer and human being. 8/2021 5 stars - Had a Sim card issue with my phone. Stopped in the store without an appointment. Waited less than 10 minutes as they had a few other customers. Adrian helped me out. He was supportive and helpful. I have a company phone which added a level of complexity. But Adrian went out of his way to assist. It was nice chatting with him while things were being one to change out my Sim card. I would recommend him to anyone to give them the assistance you would expect. Horrid and despicable experience. I bought a new iPhone X via the ATT website and decided to trade in my old iPhone 6. The deal was ATT would pay me for my old phone. They did, in the form of a merchandize card that you can only use at an ATT store for accessories. Not thrilled about that. So my wife and I went to this store with the $90 card we got for my trade to buy a wifi speaker. Let me preface this by saying we are early 60s and very upscale in dress and appearance. We walked in the door and the five sales people were all busy. So we stood by the door and waited. 10 minutes go by. Another couple (late 20s) walks in and one of the salespeople peels off to immediately approach this couple to check them in. We thought "they must have an appointment". Keep in mind the salesperson WALKED AROUND US to take care of the new couple. Ten more minutes go by. No change in the customers being helped. Then TWO MORE COUPLES WALK IN. Another sales person again peels off. Walks up to couple that had already been checked in, asks them if they had been helped, they say yes, then HE WALKS RIGHT AROUND US AGAIN to check in the new two couples (Late 20s). I, in a loud voice said we had been waiting 20 minutes and been ignored. The sales people said they check people as they come in (BTW, there are no signs or indicators of any kind speaking to the necessity of checking in). SO to them a 6'2" guy is invisible. I asked to see the manager, who seemed to be unavailable. My wife and I then left in disgust. Very pathetic. read more

Even though the equipment we got from this store was faulty, they were still courteous and nice throughout the process. Overall, I appreciate the fact that this store was way nicer than another store (Woodfield mall location) that I went to. I appreciate the salesman because they listen and will explain the best options, not just what is best for them. read more

My business has had a business account for over 7 years and all we needed was a flip phone for an older employee that didn't need a smart phone. The manager was horrible, only walks around with a pole up is you know where. We just had a couple of questions but he couldn't answer them because we had to wait to be seen by 1 of his employees. We finally got the phone and I asked if the phone was charged and was told yes. He never offered to open the box and make sure it works and can make & receive calls. Of course we get it back to the office and it had no service. Had to go back in and you would think the manager would come over and apologize nope all he asked was if the girl helping us needed anything. After another 20 mins she got it working. But it was totally low key. No pressure, just informative. Took no time at all to get my new phone up and running and we enjoyed chatting while we waited. People here told me a straight up lie... I needed to get my phone unlocked, so I called this this AT&T store and the guy on the phone, im going to assume his name is Brad, though it might be Chad or Brody or any name the denotes someone who wears a shirt with a popped collar and an inappropriate amount of hair product... im sure his friends call him "Brosef" or "BroNamith"... anyways you get the point, not the sharpest tool in the shed, yet still a tool. So "Brad" tells me that I should go down the street to a place that will unlock your phone if you pay them, or that if I wanted to do it through ATT it would take "like a week or a week and a half" and I would have to wait for an email with my unlock code.... THIS IS A LIE... all you need to do is call 611 and tell them you want to unlock you phone and it takes about 5 minutes... That is if they read you the instructions from the correct prompt on their computer... the kind unmotivated folks on the phone were reading me instructions for the wrong phone. It took me hours to figure out this problem, and 4 phone calls to AT&T. I finally figured out the problem with the help of the interweb... Thanks for the wasted day AT&T, a fitting ending to a horrible relationship. After 10 years with AT&T/Cingular/AT&T and overpaying for crappy reception and dropped calls I have moved on to greener pastures of T Mobile where I am paying 25 dollars less per month and getting better service. its been a roller coaster of a relationship with AT&T and now its finally over... I feel relieved almost as though a weight has been lifted from my chest. Im free!!! read more

The personnel at this store is professional, supportive and friendly. I went this store for new service, upgrade and billing issue. I'd like to higly recommend this AT&T store. A few weeks ago, I had problem for my plan feature and almost $70.00 was overcharged to my bill. I spent almost 1.5 hours on the phone to fix it but it's not resolved. I felt so frustrated. If it's not resolved, I would cancel all of my AT&T service. I went to the store and told my situation to one of rep. He( can't remember his name) made phone call and explained the issue thorougly. The call took more than 30 minutes but he was so patient. Now the issue was resolved and I feel so relieved and thankful. read more

Said I couldn't transfer account to new iPad and would not be able to give me a sim card to replace one I lost on a Mini. Save some time and grief and go to the Woodfield store. Hard to find an experience that I would enjoy at places like these. My main goal is always to get in and out. They did this well here. Unlike the other patrons, those who don't know anything about using a mobile phone, I knew what I needed and simply needed an AT&T rep to do it because I could not myself. This location wasted a full two hours of time. Please train Rolland on how activating phones and SIM cards work. I had done what is called a cross-over upgrade where we used one person's upgrade eligibility on the account for another person's new phone. Speaking to an employee at another AT&T store - they made it sound like it was no big deal. It really should not have been. We order the new phone online and it ships. My family member who is authorized on the account goes to the location. They are told that by activating the new phone, that the phone with the upgrade eligibility will be deactivated and will HAVE to go to a AT&T store for a SIM card. I talked with Rolland for upwards of 20 minutes trying to understand why they couldn't simply provide the phone with the correct phone number and not deactivate the other phone. Getting "the script" for long enough - I call it quits. My family member has spent an hour at the store and nothing has been resolved. I happened to be on vacation during this time. Now my family member and I are coordinating two separate visits to AT&T stores on opposite sides of the country in order so that my phone doesn't get deactivated mid-vacation. So we setup a time to meet. Sure enough, this location is too busy and does not meet the appointment time by 20 minutes. I am sitting across the country waiting - on standby for my phone to be deactivated so that I can get a new SIM card. After waiting - I get a call from my family member. They say that everything was taken care of in two minutes by the manager. No deactivation, no new SIM card. Easy as could be - as the original employee had told me at a different location. This is a terrible location. Either management does not train their employees, or they are deliberately trying to get extra money by swapping SIM cards. I am so dissatisfied for being lied to my face because of ignorance on AT&T's side. And they wonder why I buy an unlocked phone. read more

He was able to answer all my questions and took care of my account changes. His pleasant personality and sense of humor helped with the transaction to go a lot smoother. Absolute worst experience I've had with a retailer. They started by charging me activation fees that I was unaware of. Went through several different people on the phone before they told me I had to deal with the store directly since they put the order in. Spoke to the manager and after waiting/talking to them for an hour they decided they were valid charges (even though I didn't agree to them) so they wouldn't help me at all with those charges. What they would do is give me the "Loyalty" number to call and they might be able to reduce or refund some of the extra charges. I call the so-called "Loyalty" number and it's not AT&T!! It's a scam line trying to get me to give my credit card number to activate the gift card I just won. I am now canceling not only my cell phone service with AT&T but my cable, internet, home phone and home security system. I hope it was worth those activation fees to lose all of my business forever. Seriously, I have been here numerous times and the service I received from Brenda was 5 stars. Patient, professional, this gal knows her stuff! RARELY do I see such great customer service. She never rushed my many questions and seemed to enjoy helping people. I went back and bought myself a Samsung Galaxy 5. She should get employee of the year for service because it doesn't get better. She was busy the day I actually bought the phone, but she needs to be applauded because she's a great asset. She said she was transferring to the Oakbrook store. It's to far for me, but she deserves recognition. People like this are far and few today. read more

Stay away from this store as they will try a scam you!! I went in with an offer I received in my bill. I was told to add on another lIne (which I didn't need) and I would get a new iPhone XS which was not in stock and would be sent to my home. When I get the new phone I was told to remove the SIM card and put in my old phone and transfer my old SIM card to the new phone. The line I added will just be there if I ever need it and my bill will go down $30 a month. The tech that delivered my phone said that is shady and illegal. Sure enough called att and was told that is in fact it is illegal and my bill will go up $30. Told not to open new phone an return to the shady store. When My husband told Duwan Correa at the store of this practice he was NOT nice and threatened to kick us out of tHe store. I returned the phone and got my money back. Also att is reporting this location due to shady practices. Do not go here!!! read more

If I could give a negative, I would. I opened a business account with this store. I wanted to transfer my galaxy s8 from my personal to my new business account. On my business account I added a Galaxy Tab E to take advantage of the $20 a month promotion. I got approved for everything and got my bill showing that. However, the rep made a mistake after the fact and kept my personal account, so now I have two bills, a personal and a business. I am paying over $200 a month for a Tab E, not even worth $200 and $200 a month for a Galaxy s8. When I became aware of it, the rep said he would fix it and refund my money. I have found out he got a promotion after opening up my business account, and he just blew me off. Customer service is just blaming everything of it's system. Went to the store over 20 times, and they said they were going to fix it and never did. I am planning on taking legal action against this place. Now, I am responsible for a bill that technically wasn't mine. read more

The employees are fine but this is about AT&T. Got Apple iPhone 4 in August, 2010. No reception at my home...I have to remember to call forward to my home phone AND to REMOVE whenever I leave. I have home office and this has hurt my business. AT&T has a fix...a micro tower - but they want me to pay $150 and then ANOTHER $20 A MONTH for another, additional data plan. I am stuck in a "new" 2 year contract and they don't give a ---- about fixing it. DO NOT CONSIDER AT&T unless they give you a decent trial period. read more

Sad ATT has some polite and kind employees telling you how they can't fix or change anything on your account... but want to buy a car charger? I made multiple calls to ATT to upgrade my husband's phone now that it's all pay for the entire phone no deals. This was behind the scenes as a bday surprise, i of course was told 3 different things, most was wrong. They also convinced me over the phone to change my plan, which involved getting one cheap $10 flip phone as back up on our daughters line. The day comes when get to the store to surprise my husband, he i have him pick one out only to find the upgrade was placed on his account and now he isn't eligible!!! They can't reverse anything ATT over the phone did or be helpful in any way, after 2.5 hrs there. I had to go back spend 1.5 more house manually returning and rebuying my crap $10 phone that they convinced me to get In the first place!!! Then after being pissed, still don't have my husband's new phone.. or element of surprise, they try to up sell me a car charger, screen protector, and case. And here I thought they were trying to do service recover and throw that stuff in for free, nope just adding salt to the wound. I never had these customer service issues w Verizon. Word of advice - get all the sales rep promises in writing! I wanted to unlock my son's phone so he can use it during his vacation trip abroad - did not accomplished that instead I allowed the sales rep to talk me into getting 2 new phones with the stipulation that my total phone bill will not increase more than $20 (and some change - so he said). Looking into my account he added 2 new smart watches (my son was thrilled) again promising to keep my bill at agreed level. I paid taxes on the new phones and signed for 2 years NEXT program to pay for them - that I was aware of and agreed to again with condition my total bill will not increase more than "20 some dollars". Shocker came really fast - my bill went up by $112. 20 visits to the store (Miguel - one of the managers was very supportive) and my bill went down to $93 above my current bill. I discovered that smart watch comes with $10 per month fee (naive I thought it works like my in car Bluetooth device) so I opt to returned my. And had to pay $35 restocking fee. Bracing for my next bill and surprise that will come with it. I've been with ATT for more than 10 years and I'm trying very hard not to be influenced by one dishonest sales rep.
