I am 80+ years old. Last September I visited the store for a new iPhone, and chose the iPhone 14 to replace my old phone. The 16 was coming out in two weeks so I was given, supposedly, a good price and paid $477 which included taxes and a new cover for the phone. My husband pays the money bills, the At&T bill is 4 pages long so missed the fact there was a $19.29 charge to my phone. When we call customer service we were told I bought the phone on installment for three years! This is a total scam...why would I pay full price for old technology? The sales associate took advantage of an old lady. I was given no paperwork nor did I sign any documents agreeing to an installment plan. Wow. Came into this location with my girlfriend looking to potentially upgrade her phone to the newest one, upon walking in we were barely greeted and were in the store 10-15 minutes and two other people came in before someone came up to help us. There was also two workers answering one persons questions, which it seemed like they only needed one worker for because the worker who helped us left from the conversation to help us. When the worker asked what we needed we explained that my girlfriend wanted to look into switching carriers and upgrading her phone as well. We were met with a very brief "I'm about to leave I can't help you right now you'll have to wait 30-40 minutes and someone will help you" so we said ok then she proceeded to help the next people that came in, enthusiastically asking if they were in to upgrade a phone. I just don't really understand why she couldn't help us get some numbers really quick but could help the next people in line switch a phone? Had an appointment and was served right away. Didn't need to wait. Staff member was helpful and friendly. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Location is convenient to getting a lot of other errands done. Covid-19 guidelines were followed. Staff and customers wore masks. Capacity was limited and social distancing enforced. Worst customer service ever! We are still waiting on a refund for the new phone that we had to buy, even though the phone was under a year old. Our account was locked by AT&T once we tried to switch to Charter/ Spectrum. We spent hours on the phone with AT&T customer service, who said we had no back charges but with no explanation as to the problem, before they told us to go to the store. The manager Curtis claimed he couldn't help and when we asked for his supervisor, the regional manager, he said he wasn't available and that he goes around to different stores. When asked which store he was at that day, he claimed he didn't know. We suggested he call the regional manager and ask how to release our account/phone to switch to Spectrum or when we could meet with him, again to no avail. We checked back for 2 weeks on how to get the account unlocked with no success. We had to buy a new phone and go back to Spectrum and closed the AT&T account. Curtis was going to try to get us a partial refund for the still-new locked phone. Of course we never saw a refund and are still waiting over a year later! Don't use this store!! read more

I came in at 7pm with plans of purchasing a $1300 phone, I understand that's an hour before closing, I also understand is shouldn't take an hour to buy a phone. By the looks of it there were two employees busy helping customers. No greeting what so ever upon walking in the door. We sat and waited for 20 minutes and we were treated as if we were ghost. While the one employee was dropping the F bomb in front of a family of 4, the other employee was talking about his bestie Amanda in Tahoe and that was made him move to Reno while the lady he was "helping" was so obviously not interested. Shawn closed my legacy account and opened unlimited data plans for all of our phones. I specifically told him I did not want to change any services but he did it anyway. Then he said he was unable to change things back. Funny considering I was able to call 611 and reverse his changes. Upon speaking to customer service at 611, I was told we never even approach our data limits so there was no reason to initiate a change. I'm very saddened by these actions. I am seeing others reviews where customers are deceived. You can file a report with the FTC for these issues. If they receive enough maybe they will investigate and help protect the consumers. Excellent help from the team at AT&T specifically team member buddy. They helped with a complicated account that I have with my mom and all these devices. He really knew what he was doing and helped answer all my questions - and I had a lot of questions! They told me about the warranty program and I am seriously considering it. They have a large selection of mobile devices and tablets which is great since I like options. Most of their products from what I can tell are Apple and Samsung. I had a great experience here. Upon walking in the store I was greeted by Marshall. He asked me how he could help me, to which I responded "Yeah, I'd really appreciate it if you could spend a few hours with me showing me how to use my go-phone flip phone". He said "Sure, lets take a seat over here" and then I quickly let him know that I would be an easy customer, I knew exactly what I wanted to get and already knew exactly how to use the phones. He laughed and did wonder why someone would need a few HOURS to figure out how to use a flip phone. Despite thinking I'd be in and out of there quick, I was there for almost an hour but it was because... I wanted to be? As were setting the new phones (HTC One M8s) up on the account Marshall is explaining some of the software features I wasn't aware of to me. Next thing you know we're sharing dog pictures and talking about our kids. He made sure I left with both my own and my wife's phone all set up and ready to go and honestly made the whole experience quite pleasurable. I walked in around 7 pm on a quiet Monday night. I had an older Iphone G3 a friend gave me for free, and my ancient AT&T work phone that was so old and crappy that the sales staff looked at it like it was a dinosaur. Annalicia was the woman who helped me switch over all my info and services to make the magic happen. It took a good while to do it, but I was fine with the 15-20 minute wait to get everything done. She was very helpful and informative and even set up my work / personal emails for me on the Iphone. While I was there, I made some minor changes to our business account and this is when we discovered AT&T had been charging one of our cell phone lines with an international data roaming plan @ $60 / month that was supposed to be shut off several months ago. I'm going to sic my bookkeeper on them for that. Other than the billing error, I was happy with how smooth the transaction went overall. read more

I bought a new iphone plus 3 accessories. I was told by the salesperson that they were having a special--if I bought 3 accessories, which I did, I got something free. I didn't really need anything else but he insisted that I get the free item so I chose AirPods. When I got my AT&T bill, I had a new recurring charge that I was unfamiliar with. Called AT&T and they said it was for the AirPods I purchased. I did NOT purchase them. The salesperson LIED. It was too late to return them at that point. My wife and I purchased the iPhone 8 Plus at the beginning of the year and were offered insurance plans on our phones. We were told specifically that this plan covered broken screens, and while I had never purchased cell phone insurance before, collectively we had broken five screens on the iPhone six. Six months later, my wife broke her screen. Relieved that I had spent the money on insurance, we filed our claim. After a week and a half of jumping through hoops, we were told that our deductible would be $225, not the $50 that was committed to us at the store. Upon bringing it up with team that sold us on the insurance, we were told that there is no one in the area that replaces iPhone 8+ screens. There are plenty of places to invest in technology where the employees are looking out for our best interest (as customers). This establishment, like the rest of the AT&T chain store are simply concerned with squeezing every dollar they can out of anyone that walks through their door, and will outright lie to your face to do so. Forget about service, all you'll get is a "Not my problem" or "We don't handle the insurance". Sadly, all I can do as someone who bought into their lies is to warn everyone I can to shop elsewhere. read more

It's AT&T. No ones changing their rules or service anytime soon so this review is purely about this store and one employee in particular. I walked in with a scowl because (since I have a business account) I was unable to order a new phone online, must be in store. I think that was observed as Jason, the business manager rushed me in, whisked me off to a table and dealt with my laundry list of issues with lightning speed. I even left with new Beats headphones as they were $100 cheaper that day (lower than even Craigslist or eBay - I checked). I appreciated him letting me know about that. He also taught my 11 year old son how to text on the old school flip phone we bought him. I was out the door and back to my life in no time with no arguing, negotiating or frowny faces... Upon leaving he reminded me to come back when my phone arrived so they could install the glass screen protector for me (they are finicky & he didn't want me to shoulder the risk of breakage). I so appreciate this magical combo of: - knowing the product and policies - listening to the customer and figuring out how you can help them - speed & accuracy. Our time is valuable. They had the phone I wanted in stock and a case that matched the rose gold metal to a t. I had my new phone up and working in less than 15 mins. I was very happy with their services and this is the at and t store I always go to. At and t also has the best reception in the area, plus unlimited data plans, which is a must for me with my pandora/Spotify/YouTube at the gym. read more

My experience with AT&T indicates that their corporate philosophy has two critical elements: (1) We are more focused on stealing our competitors business than retaining the business we have. (2) You should stay with us, because we are no worse than our competitors. My experience with AT&T corporate had been an endless chorus of AT&T wins and I the customer loses. Their complete disregard for the value of my time boggles my mind. The corporate giant is important the customers are not. Even with Eric's amazing effort and attitude, it took 2 hours to essentially change the name on my business. I had to set up a whole new account and got none of the perks for doing it. The representative flat out lied to me about having a work phone and being able to call customer care for me because she didnt want to help me. I caught her in the lies and she fessed up that it was her work phone and apologized. She also lied about what authorized users are allowed to do policy-wise because again she didnt want to deal with it. I caught her in that too. She tried multiple times to send me to another store and lied about inventory in stock before going in the back and finding my device. She didnt go over one-time upgrade costs, the terms of the agreement, return policy, timeframe, or fees. At all. And was shockingly rude for much of the transaction. And to top it off she didn't give her name or wear her badge as AT&T's employee policy dictates so I can't even give her name in this review (my only consolation being they can identify her internally based on the survey I gave, not that I expect them to do anything about it). I'm a handful. Let's just get that out of the way right off the bat. I'm not the usual customer and I rarely if ever ask an easy question. Which is why I love this store! I just went in to do a pretty complex reshuffling of numbers after Samsung gave me a new Galaxy Note II in my Oscars goodie bag (I was so excited and I love it!!!). It took almost an hour, because one of my phones has a data plan opt out even though it's a smart phone and you can't do that anymore. But they worked it out, like they always do. People always ask me why I stick with AT&T, and today Amy and Anthony and Karen (yes it took 3 people to manage the switcheroni - I told you I wasn't easy) did what they said they would, they made it happen, they got all the phones switched and up and running. I kinda thought it would take longer but these rock stars triple teamed it and did an excellent job at making and keeping me one happy long time customer. Thanks guys! read more

Great store! I went in and I instantly got service, They were waiting patiently while I was finding the phone case I wanted. The workers were very nice and fast. They knew all the questions I was asking. This store is also on a good location. I totally recommend this store. I've been to a bunch of AT&T stores and this one is the best on many levels. This AT&T location is easy to get in and out of and has a decent parking lot the selection and help are certainly why I gave it 4 stars because the help was incredible they help me with what type of phone I was looking for and all the different types of options for the plans and how much I should pay for it and all of that added extras and there's so much to know about all of the mobile devices and how they all work so having somebody to help me through the process that AT&T was really helpful and I really appreciate it the entire experience I would go back again next time I need a mobile device for a cell phone in Reno. read more

For most of us, going to deal with the cell phone company rates only slightly better than a root canal. AT&T, and specifically THIS STORE, completely changed how I feel about the experience. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. It is obvious very good good customer service is ABSOLUTELY a priority here. We dealt with 2 people...Karen and Marshall and they were both marvelous. Marshall is the man. He went waaaaay above and beyond to take care of me and my fiance in securing new service and phones. He did way more than he had to to make sure we were happy and properly set up. He was patient and engaging and genuinely wanted to help us, not just sell us phones or service. The store itself was pleasant to be in...whoever is in charge has done a fantastic job of setting a very inviting tone in the store. All the associates are nice and helpful and pleasant. AT&T is the worst customer service on the planet. I was promised a $100.00 not to disconnect my services. They lied and gave me $50.00. Now my services are disconnected i received a bill for TV when, Direct TV sent me a zero balance due statement. Ok, how can I owe money when i received a bill after my TV service was disconnected. At&T says oh, direct TV always does this? oh, sends a 0 due correct then At&T lies and makes up charges due to try to capture more money? Really? Now AT&T can not explain the bill or what I owe. Now there are no records of my conversations where I was promised the other credit. Wow, who would lie about a $ 50.00 credit. Now customer service wont even help me at all.They just dig right in screaming at me, calling me stupid. wow, I work for a bank, went to college and know how to read. This is so horrible. i need my credit in tact to have my job. AT&T thinks it is a joke to report me to collections for money I do not owe. AT&T thinks they can transfer me around the world several times to get me to give up. Well, they are scum and I will not hesitate to say so!!! Thanks for giving me horrible advice on the phone about how to prep my iPhone 4S for transfer to my twelve-year old niece. I followed Apple's directions for restoring the phone to factory settings, and then followed up on the advice from the Apple site to check with my carrier for further instructions. After hearing conflicting advice from the AT & T website and main support number, I called up this store for clarification and even offered to come in for tech support. It's where I've bought all iPhones on our account for over seven years. The employee I spoke with -pretty sure I know who this guy is since he sounded suspiciously like the guy who arrogantly screwed with my last iPhone activation, told me the advice I'd received from AT & T helpline was wrong, and that in no way, shape, or form did I need to unlock the device or "do anything." He scoffed at the advice I had received and said it was "No big deal, all she has to do is change the SIM card." So, taking him at his word, I got a text from my niece tonight who couldn't use her new phone. 45 minutes on two speakerphone calls later and a very helpful tech from the AT & T main line, my former and her current 4S looks to be ready to boot up from her carrier within 48 hours. Indeed, the phone needed to be unlocked.I WILL NEVER BELIEVE ANYTHING I'M TOLD AT THIS STORE AGAIN.
