Overall this company was great to work with and I have recommended them to many people! I have to be honest as this is what YELP is used for and I for one rely on feedback of others. I inadvertently posted on the wrong REICO - my apologies ! I was so happy with the REICO in Richmond on Tomlynn Street that I would bet Charlottesville is just as reputable and easy to work with.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and master bathroom, on a tight schedule as I was pregnant. Our…read morecontractor recommended Reico for the materials. They have a lovely showroom, and the gentleman who helped us pick out our selections was great. However, after that our experience was disappointing. First of all, they gave us the wrong lead-times several times - they kept getting longer until eventually we were told that almost none (!) of our selections actually existed to be ordered. I can understand perhaps being surprised by one supplier - but to tell us that multiple items on their showroom floor, from multiple suppliers, were discontinued without their knowledge indicates a pretty big lack of attention on their part. We were working with Kara on our order; this was a very negative experience. She was irresponsible and inaccessible, failing to get us estimates anywhere near her promised timelines (i.e. weeks later) and failing to return multiple calls. She later explained that she was either traveling and/or working on bigger projects than ours that were consuming her time; when we asked who covered her for our questions, she seemed surprised and said "nobody." She seemed exasperated with us for wanting attention, and expected us to understand that we were low-priority compared to her other clients. We canceled our order and went elsewhere. Edited to add: Despite the posting date, this occurred in fall 2014. Once I finally posted my review - I had forgotten to post - the owner reached out to me immediately. He seemed very responsive and proactive.

I am pleased to rate Piedmont Painting and Finish (Piedmont) as a stellar, five-star company. They…read morehave fully earned the honor. I define business excellence in what I refer to as the "Four C's:" Competence. Communication. Cost. Character. Piedmont easily met all four prongs. Accordingly, my experience with this great company is best described as EXCELLENT. My home painting projects, located near Charlottesville, Virginia, came under the leadership of the Project Manager -- Mr. Tobin McCrillis. Upon my first meeting with Mr. McCrillis, while I was considering other painting professionals, I knew within five minutes that Piedmont would be my company for all of my home painting needs. All other prospective companies were no longer under consideration. Mr. McCrillis exudes the confidence that his team knows fully what they are doing (competence). He makes every reasonable effort to keep the customer/client fully apprised and he is very responsive when asked any questions (communication). Every reasonable effort is made by Piedmont to provide the highest quality service at a reasonable price (cost). Very importantly, based on my initial and continued interactions with Mr. McCrillis and the owner -- Mr. Charlie Davis, I knew that I could trust the integrity of this company. They keep their promises and they are honest people (character). Mr. Davis has done a commendable job of setting the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout his company. Mr. McCrillis ensured that his team lived up to those high standards from the beginning to the completion of the project. I have never before experienced a company of any sort so devoted to professionalism as Piedmont is. Under the overall leadership of Charlie Davis, and the project leadership of Tobin McCrillis, this company is committed to getting the job done right the first time. Therefore, appropriately on Thanksgiving Day, 2024, I do not hesitate to extend my highest personal recommendation and gratitude to Piedmont Paint and Finish. They are a first-class company and a real pleasure to do business with! Shenandoah Titus, Esq.
