For 21 days my device sat completely untouched no updates, no repair, and no accountability. I had to repeatedly call the store myself just to be met with rude and dismissive responses from staff, especially from the manager, Eduardo, who was openly disrespectful, deceptive, dismissive when I asked for repair timelines or basic updates. I was charged an $80 "non-refundable" diagnostic fee as a down payment for the repair, even though it was obvious what I needed to be fixed. Not surprisingly, no diagnostic was ever done, no repair was attempted, and my console was just sitting in the shop for weeks. The manager, Eduardo, verbally agreed to refund the fee, but never actually did it! I had to contact my credit card company and open a formal dispute just to get my money back. Even corporate was no help, because the store is privately owned and operated, and apparently not truly accountable to uBreakiFix or Asurion. This entire experience was a scammy, unprofessional mess. He further stated that he had verified my son's phone from Total Wireless was compatible with Verizon and assured us it would be fully functional within 30 minutes of activation. Based on these assurances, we agreed to add the line and proceed. Before leaving the store, I specifically asked about the trade-in return process and shipping labels, and Jason Kelley confirmed we could return the devices to any Verizon store without additional documentation. Unfortunately, after several hours, my son's phone still did not work. We returned to the same Verizon store the following day, where employees were unable to activate the device normally. Ultimately, they activated service using a Verizon test phone and then placed the same SIM card into my son's phone. While this temporarily worked, my Verizon account now incorrectly identifies my phone as a Google Pixel, which it is not. On January 12, 2026, we attempted to complete the promised trade-in. Another Verizon representative, Remy, informed us that no trade-in had ever been initiated and that Jason Kelley had only processed an upgrade. Remy contacted customer service to correct the issue. While a trade-in was eventually started, it was under a new promotion, reducing our value to approximately $600 per phone, instead of the original $800+ we were promised. At that point, we also learned that my son's phone was not compatible with Verizon at all, which explains why it had to be activated through nonstandard means. I can see the back light and every time I tapped it was like pressing on a flat screen tv. My camera wasn't picking up in the dark like it was before, my phone would dim randomly even though my brightness was at a fixed position it was over heating. This Man replaced my genuine oled apple screen for a cheap $40 lcd screen and charged me $300 dollars for it. I reached out immediately and told him what was going on he said he'd order the parts and they'd be here on Tuesday the 5th, I reached out and asked for an update he said fedex messed up the timing of delivery and it'll be here on Wednesday the 6th(still in may).
