The folks at the local store are great, they're doing an amazing job working for a company that doesn't care about its customers. Don't call the local number, it will offshore you to a foreign country that can't help you, and can't (or won't?) connect you to the local store where there are people who actually CAN help. By the time I'd been on the phone with customer "service" for over 1/2 hour, dealing with one dead-end after another and having a hard time making contact with an actual person, doing something the local crew could have helped with in minutes, they told me the only way I could get help was to go to the local store, 15 miles (20 minutes) away, and 10 minutes before they closed. So I now have a brand new phone that's fairly well useless until I can get back to the local store, which won't be for several days. That, after being on hold earlier in the day with customer "service" for ten minutes earlier in the day just to figure out the store hours because corporate says they can't post them on the door; you *must* use a QR code. Well, not all of us have phones capable of QR codes. Just post the hours on the door like normal businesses that care about their customers would do! Verizon has forgotten the most basic premise of Customer Service: KISS - Keep It Simple, Salesman. By not keeping it simple they're doing much to anger their customers, that's not a good place to be. So while the local crew is doing an outstanding job, Verizon has me so hopping mad I'm very close to switching providers after 15 years because they've forgotten how to take care of their customers. But hey, I have a brand new phone that has lost most of my data, my contacts, my message history, etc from my previous phone.
