Note first, this is NOT a review of our local Verizon store, it's a review of Verizon Customer "Service" which is absolutely maddening! The folks at the local store are great, they're doing an amazing job working for a company that doesn't care about its customers. Don't call the local number, it will offshore you to a foreign country that can't help you, and can't (or won't?) connect you to the local store where there are people who actually CAN help. By the time I'd been on the phone with customer "service" for over 1/2 hour, dealing with one dead-end after another and having a hard time making contact with an actual person, doing something the local crew could have helped with in minutes, they told me the only way I could get help was to go to the local store, 15 miles (20 minutes) away, and 10 minutes before they closed. So I now have a brand new phone that's fairly well useless until I can get back to the local store, which won't be for several days. That, after being on hold earlier in the day with customer "service" for ten minutes earlier in the day just to figure out the store hours because corporate says they can't post them on the door; you *must* use a QR code. Well, not all of us have phones capable of QR codes. Just post the hours on the door like normal businesses that care about their customers would do! Verizon has forgotten the most basic premise of Customer Service: KISS - Keep It Simple, Salesman. By not keeping it simple they're doing much to anger their customers, that's not a good place to be. So while the local crew is doing an outstanding job, Verizon has me so hopping mad I'm very close to switching providers after 15 years because they've forgotten how to take care of their customers. But hey, I have a brand new phone that has lost most of my data, my contacts, my message history, etc from my previous phone. read more

The staff knew much more than I did on settings and new features as we switched our to our new phones. They were professional, yet caring personally for our family. Had inquiries of stock available, I really don't know if the store is just entirely busy to the point no one has a break, but typically I wouldn't wait 5-10 minutes on the phone just trying to wait on someone to pick it up to answer a question that probably wouldn't even take a minute to answer, I typed this response while still waiting on the phone with them and waited to post till I made it to a whopping 20 minutes+ of waiting, Yay me!! Some of the employees are nice and try to be helpful, but they do not know much tech stuff. They want your money and that's about it.

Just be aware, that even if you're a longtime Verizon customer and you're making an expensive purchase of an upgraded phone at the Verizon store, you will notice on your statement a $40 upgrade fee. This was after not having any assistance setting up the phone for our virus safety. read more

Walked in on a Saturday so all the staff members were busy with other customers. I was still greeted in less than a minute and being helped within 3. Rylee helped me upgrade my phone and the entire process took 20 minutes tops. She had a tablet and we did everything including payment from there so no waiting for a computer to be open like at other stores I've been to. I noticed the check-in process they had as things got busier and more people walked in was very organized and streamlined. read more

Stopped today as I needed a new phone. Clerks were busy but I attempted to make eye contact with the clerks. No acknowledgement. I noticed one gentleman was ahead of me. As clerks finished up at the desk another person came into the store. The next thing I see is a clerk approaching the new customer, taking name and saying you're next. She then approached me. I checked that the gentleman ahead of me was on her list. I mentioned my wait but person just walking in getting priority. Clerks response to me on several of my queries was "I wasn't aware"....never an apology....never an acknowledgement... this did not settle well with me. I'm out. read more

Went to Verizon Wireless to pay the usual bill. We're supposed to be charged 167 and chance on my card... They charged 512 plus to my card. Have gone around with the store and corporate.... Excuses change each day and time lengths change. 1-2 days, then three days, then 3-5 days, and now 7-10. Obviously I'm not getting my money back even though this is technically theft. I implore the readers of this to check all receipts, bank charges, by these crooks. And they are crooks. I will remind the reader that that a kept overcharge is larceny by the law. read more
