SEPTEMBER 2, 2025 I went to this store in Manistee, last…read moreweek to upgrade my home internet. We've had this router for 12 years. The buffering and calls breaking up has been really bad the last 2 months. The guy there said he could get me internet, but it wasn't available in my area. HOWEVER, he would get a list of random addresses where it is available and connect my account to that address. This process was going to take time. He was supposed to call me that night, but I still haven't heard from him, a week later. That said, my husband and I were thinking of upgrading our phones. Last night, I pulled up my account to place a phone order and upgrade and had 2 phones in my cart and was verifying all my info, and the address was downstate somewhere. So, I did not complete the order last night and planned on a visit after work on this day. The guy changed my address in my account and never called me. The manager wanted to tell me that it was impossible for him to do. I said, "So I changed it?" She just kept saying well what is it you're looking for. I said I want to know why he changed my address and never called nothing. She just kept saying it was impossible. I said well your losing a 15-year customer. Also, let her know giving random addresses out so people can "qualify" for internet services doesn't seem ethical. And per her suggestion, i will be calling 611. I do not care of this isn't an authorized AT&T store. I EXPECT a "manager" to be professional rather here, Goodwill or McDonald's. If you can't then you DO NOT belong in customer service. Will never return and In currently searching for another provider.
