Doctor called in a prescription, got a message it was ready went to pick it up. The guy said insurance didn't cover it, (had already confirmed it did) because it needed the doctor's approval. The prescribing doctor has to approve the filling of the medication she prescribed? No attempt was made by them to figure it out. Called the Dr's office in Traverse City and the receptionist sighed and said they constantly have these issues with this location. Their ineptitude is known across the state. Got a notification it was ready, went to pick it up, the girl took my information, went and grabbed a package, asked for my info again and said they had nothing for me. So what did she go get and almost give to me? Where was the mistake? I don't have a common name and she had my personal information. I again called the doctor's office and the angel of a receptionist made another attempt to straighten things out. Repeat the scenario a dozen times, with any ludicrous excuse one could make up and not a single employee making a phone call to fix the problem, or letting me know there was a delay, each time getting a notification it was ready, it was 4 months later when I was able to pick it up. Good thing it wasn't something essential like insulin but I sure did feel like garbage waiting all that time.
