These guys were okay to deal with except that they didn't mention. Unless I had everything backed…read moreup to the cloud I would not have access to things. In other words, they really wanted to sell me a new phone. My new expensive pixel phone doesn't pair with my car and I can't find certain apps I used to use for notes so I lost a lot of my writing. So now I have to try to remember all my passwords and for an old person. That's the definition of hell.

If you like being talked over & having your preferences ignored, this is the store for you!…read more This was literally THE WORST sale experience I've ever had. Even when car shopping, I never came across a salesperson so rude & presumptuous. I had a specific brand & model of phone in mind. My plan was to get a closer look, ask a couple questions, and get my number switched to the new phone. Sounds simple, right? The pushy salesperson had his own ideas. I specified the model I wanted, and was told "Forget [model]!". Seriously. Then he launched into the supposed virtues of a much more expensive model - not that I'd asked. When I tried to ask about the model I wanted, he kept talking over me & changing the subject. Like an idiot, I let him look into my account to "see if any promotions were available". I guess that's the modern-day version of "ask my manager to give you a discount". Not that I'd asked. The thing is, I specifically want an inexpensive phone. A cheap phone is less of a theft target, plus I wouldn't freak out over breaking or losing it. I value my peace of mind over flashy features. At this point, he started pushing the expensive phone again, claiming he could get a price of $80 for me. Considering this model lists well over $500, I don't think so. I didn't believe for a second that there wasn't some catch like it was $80 per month, or I had to switch to a contract. I don't do contracts. Ever. Then he started blathering about changing my plan - not that I'd asked. Honestly, I wasn't even listening anymore. My distinct impression was that he was trying throw me off balance. Ooo, I'm frightened, so I'll buy whatever you say! Or some such nonsense. Probably some sexism was involved. I can't picture him (or anyone) being so condescending to a man. I was so annoyed, I just I walked out. I wouldn't have bought anything from someone so pushy & discourteous. I'd already done a lot of research & don't need anyone making my decisions for me. The one laugh I got was that he was trying to give me his b-card as I left. Dude, I'm walking out on you! Why would I want your contact info? Unfortunately, that meant I didn't catch his name. It's probably better to avoid this location anyway, if its management approves of this sort of behavior. Now I'm considering switching providers entirely. If Verizon thinks this is an appropriate way to treat customers, they're losing this one.
