Just wanted to put this out there. I visited the At&t store here in Fredericksburg to do a simple upgraded and number change that turned into a catastrophe. How is this place still running? The rep had no knowledge of the "new" procedures, which i learned through the customer care was not correct. I let the rep know all we wanted to do was an upgrade and change the number in that order. She offered me to do a new line of service, which i declined. So she said, well then I'm going to change the number then upgrade. I said fine.. Well...here the hell started. She changed the number and then proceeded to tell me that she could not do the upgrade.We would have to wait 24 hours. ‍ or she could start a new line and we could walk out with a new phone. She got me... we needed that phone, she knew it. She then tells me she can disconnect the old line and wave the 35 dollar charge. By that point I was very irritated and agreed. After it was all done , we waited for her to have the other phone line disconnected , which took forever. So I decided I would continue that at home and take care of it myself. Well come to find out, if i disconnect that old line.I'll be penalized because it came with a promotion on the new line. So she not only lied to me , or doesn't know her position , either way it is costing me. I'm screwed. I did return to the store and spoke to a manager who couldn't help me either. So I can't stress this enough... if you don't HAVE to go in there , don't. read more

I got the worst tech in history to help me get I phone transferred to new phone. As a business owner I would want to and for customers. This guy was totally the worst I've ever seen! He was lost and asking every other attendant how to transfer the phone! He eventually hid in the back with the manager who was of no help either in the situation. I wasted over an hour with the incompetent employee! I have over 25 phones and it was the worst experience! I finally walked out after he hid in the back! Totally disgusting! read more

I went yesterday to get an Apple Watch and to change my plan to optimize internet service and it was so frustrating because the lady trying to help me was not willing to help. Her name was Ashley and she had no patience to explain the different plans and was not willing to take a little time to explain the difference in the tiers. Very disappointing, so I left to do it myself on the phone with a lady that had patience and took her time with me and we even ended up buying another iPhone. I'm almost positive the representative that assisted my dad entered in the wrong phone number and charged my dad $269 and credited the sarong account. He stopped in this store to pay off a bill of $183, told them his number and paid what he was told was owed on the account BUT IT NEVER APPEARED OR WAS REFLECTED ON OUR ACCOUNT. AT&T is telling us we have to go to that direct store to run our card and get a receipt. Customer service on the phone is a joke and this store doesn't even answer. We've left voicemails and called every day. The phone never gets answered. I see this store has horrible reviews anyway but now we have to dispute the charge with our bank to get back the $269 they incorrectly charged my dad. Once again I HAD to go into this store to get service to a phone. It was horrible!!! The tech was rude, condescending and I ended up walking out without my issue resolved. Later I was told to call the guy on the card in the case which I did 4 times never to get a call back. This store is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! After several months and additional visits to AT&T stores in Kerrville, Abilene, and Boulder, CO I still couldn't find a "tech" who could reset my passwords and get my iPad working properly. Then last month I had lunch with my nephew, who works in IT at a major bank. I told him about my problems and handed him my iPad, and he had everything all fixed in a few minutes while we waited for our food. (!) I should have known to contact him first. So, my complaint has expanded from the Fredericksburg AT&T store specifically to AT&T stores in general. I have wasted several hours in their various locations, either waiting to speak to one of their incompetents, or getting increasingly frustrated while dealing with them. (Several hours of my life that I'll never get back.) Avoid these black holes of condescending inefficiency at all cost! Instead, find someone born after 1970 with some computer background to fix your ailing machine. You'll save yourself a lot of time and brain damage. read more

Horrible customer service. I have had nothing but problems with AT&T since signing up over 6 months ago. This store had done little to resolve my issues, with one manager being dismissive and suggesting that I can find another carrier if I am unhappy, another being down right rude and threatening to kick me out of the store when I asked that he treat me like a human being rather than spout policy. When I got the email address of THEIR supervisor, he ignored me for a week before putting me through to AT&T corporate. Now Corporate has done nothing to resolve my issues after a week of trying to make contact. MY SUGGESTION, GO WITH ANYONE BUT AT&T! Go to any store, except the Fredericksburg AT&T store. read more

I purchased a new phone from this store. The manager was very helpful to a point. I requested to that the number be moved to my personal account from a corporate account. She failed at this. I returned and she started the process again I made the necessary arrangements to have the account moved again. I was assured that I did not need to return to the store that the move would consummated. Six phone calls and four messages later that move has not been completed. The number I was given evidently is not answered and return phone calls do not happen. Lousy follow up customer service. This has, and will inconvenience me and my company's management. I only gave a 1 because I could not rate them zero. read more

We had a wonderful experience getting my son a new phone. They met us at the door. Welcomed us warmly. Explained all our options and had us checked out and gone in 15 minutes. Franklin was our service rep and he did an excellent job. I'm grateful it was such a painless process. read more

The customer service of this company is appalling. In January of this year I travelled to Europe and at their advice I enrolled in the Silver Passport for my cell phone and the Gold Passport for my tablet. When I returned on February 1 I asked them to remove these services. Incidentally these 'passports' de not save me anything and my phone bill for the month I was out of the country exceeded $1.100. I made no more than 3 calls and I was careful regarding the time spent on my iPad. But, that's water under the bridge. AT&T said they would remove the 'Passport' services from my February bill. They did not. When I contacted them in March telling them that the 'Passport' services were still appearing on my bill. And now it's April and I'm still being charged. I called AT&T as soon as I got my April statement and they once again told me that they would collect my bill. They even sent me an email telling me to review my statement so that I could see the adjustment they had made to my bill. The charges are still there. Now these 'Passport' services are far from cheap. Traditionally my monthly phone bill is $172 which include both my iPhone and my iPad. With addition of the Passport' services my bill is $355, more than twice my normal bill. It already seems expensive since I seldom use phone, I am 71 years old and I do not text all that often but I do visit the internet and social media frequently. In summary, I have asked AT&T to adjust my account and three times they have told me they would. I have used AT&T since 1964. But now, after 53 years of being a loyal customer I cannot believe this company cares about how I'm treated. I think it's time to find another carrier. Under no circumstances will I recommend this company and I will certainly suggest to anyone that uses this carrier that they change. read more

Don't bother going to this AT&T store. They lock the doors at around 7:55 PM even though they're open until 8 PM on weekdays. And even if you try to get their attention, because you only needed something small, they will completely ignore you until it is 8 PM. I am so happy we left AT&T and won't be going back. read more

I recently purchased a new Ipad from the Apple store in San Antonio. It had Apple sim included, which I did not understand at the time. Since it would not connect to the cellular data I took it to the ATT store in Fredericksburg. I now know that the clerk immediately threw out the Apple sim card and inserted an ATT sim without explaining that I could have connected to cellular by activating with Apple sim. Because of this clerk, I now have to go back to the Apple store and purchase another Apple sim in order to be able to use the ipad data overseas. I fault both the Apple store as well as ATT for not being told what was happening. I called the ATT store in Fredericksburg and asked about it. The clerk was unapologetic and in fact told me to "go for it" when I told him I was going to express my views online. Lesson learned-do not purchase any Apple items at the ATT store and get full explanation from the Apple store on how to connect Apple Sim. ATT does not want you to use esim or Apple sim because you will no longer purchase their very expensive international plans. Beware-there is a much better way! read more
