Had two dead batteries in a diesel pick up. Called the auto service center at five minutes till closing time but was across town. Greg answered and said come on we will help you. I got there and Greg (manager) professionally checked my vehicle in and Kory (?spelling) the technician replaced both of my diesel batteries in less than 15 minutes. They easily could've said sorry we are closed. They both went above and beyond and were wonderful. Great employees. Thank you. read more

Here's what: just because someone is wearing sunglasses in the store does not mean they are up to no good. The checkers at the self checkout need some counseling on customer etiquette. If I had bad intentions I would have gone to the checkout farthest from where they were instead of the one closest to them. My RayBan PRESCRIPTION sunglasses cost me over $500. If I take them off I couldn't see the monitor. I don't run around doing shopping carrying two pairs of glasses just to make other ppl comfortable. I carry my wallet, keys and phone. Get some class Walmart. I know that's a big ask which is why I avoid this chain and the only reason I had to go in was because I was visiting from out of town. read more

This is an older format Walmart on the smallish side. Functional but selection is a bit limited.

Typical Wal Mart. In a small town of 15,000 it is a go to place for random items. Prices as always on the low to moderate range.

This is a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially. I love Walmart.

I only used the pickup kiosk inside the store so I'm basing my review on that. I ordered a 9 inch fan for in store pick up. Within a couple of hours my order was ready. Right inside the store I see the kiosk, scan the barcode from my order via my phone at the kiosk and within seconds my order zooms from the machine like magic!!! This is real life Jetsons stuff right here!! I've done pickup at lots of Walmart stores and this is the first time I've seen this type of machine. It's freaking amazing!!! We stopped in for some groceries..... and OMG.... this Walmart in Fredericksburg, Tx has GOT TO BE THE CLEANEST we've ever seen!!! Floor was clean, I believe I heard nice music (I found myself humming to something) & shelves were nicely stocked. Even the clothing section.... none of the racks were messed up or overstuffed with items. Staff was friendly..... beside the "Greeter", several staff members said Hello. Two of them asked if we needed any help finding things! We spoke to a cashier and told her to pass on what our positive thoughts were. We thought it was a fairly new store.... she said "No, it's been here for 16 years, and that they have a good, strict Manager". Amen. Kudos to the Manager!! read more

The best Walmart in the US, I've been to a lot of Walmarts, especially the Walmart in my area in Mountain View, California, which is horrible. This on the other hand is perfect. Everything is clean. There's no items left in the isles where you can trip on this very young cashier who works Tuesdays the late shift till 9 PM very nice. We bought an item that did not have a tag on it anymore because someone ripped it off or it got ripped off during shipping , he walked to where the item was in the store and checked the price and then he came back, giving us the right price, including a small discount .Shout out to him. read more

Why won't Walmart maintain the restrooms that they have? Walmart (probably) makes a lot more money than Buc-ee's and Buc-ee's restrooms are huge and CLEAN and Walmart has small restrooms that are nearly always DIRTY and out of order. Come on, Walmart maintain your restrooms! read more

Once again Walmart in Fredericksburg Tx is being lazy. Dalton the "coach" at Walmart 78624 says that they are not able to return anything over 25 dollars. New Walmart policy. This was a lie, I called 1800 Walmart and they said something completely different. What is going on at this Walmart? Worst costumer service ever. Blatant false advertising, inept staff and poor customer service. I drove an hour out of my way to buy an iPhone at the advertised price of $150. When I finally found a store associate to help, he explained that no, that's not the price and I was essentially stupid for thinking that was the price. I spoke to the manager who explained that the price is a lie and they only sell it for that much with a third party sales rep (a lie) and they don't activate phones. I begrudgingly bought it because I had already spent four days and five trips trying to purchase the phone from kerrville. Showed the woman the advertisement saying that an associate is supposed to activate the phone. She shrugged and said nothing. This store lies. Don't give them your money. read more

This once was my go to Walmart. Unfortunately, no longer. I was there today and did not notice there was NOT ONE PERSON TO CHECK OUT in any lanes in the whole story. YOU HAD TO SELF CHECK. I went and asked for the 75 year old woman behind me and we were told NO, not enough help. And I quote: "NO ONE wants to work when they can stay home and be paid. " UGH!!! People left and right were saying they would not be back. THIS STORE NEEDS HELP, but then so does the country! I had so much stuff in my cart and was running late for an appointment after 20 minutes of unloading, sorting, checking prices and packing. I was very impressed with this Walmart! The shelves are stocked, the store is clean and the staff is friendly. When can you ever say that a Walmart is clean? Usually, I avoid Walmart bathroom but based on the overall cleanliness of this store, I took my chance. I was not disappointed. Not only are the shelves stocked here, but the variety offered is excellent. Went in for a small cooler to find 5 different types to choose from. Walked out with a cooler, towels, and Monster to drink. I will definitely be back next time I visit Fredericksburg, TX and forgot something at home. Im a local, and I always waste my time coming to this walmart. I have traveled my whole life and this is by far the worst Walmart I have ever had to experience, plus it's the only one near. Man, we were told this was a so-so Walmart compared to the HEB down the street. This is one of the cleanest and least crowded Walmarts I have ever shopped. Dude, go. AND there are lines open!! You are greeted with a warm hello and a send off. Went for groceries and a jacket for my niece who forgot warm clothes. LOL! Parking lot is clean. Inside is clean. Baskets are clean. Geesh.
