The store at Valley River in Eugene, OR is hands down one the best run AT&T stores in the country with some of the most friendliest and most knowledgeable staff there is. Been going to them for over 15 years and is the reason we stay with AT&T. Good customer service is essential and you won't find better service than this location offers. Nona the assistant manager has always gone above and beyond to take care of us every time we are there even if it's behind the scenes and we don't get to see her. She is a crucial piece to why they deliver above and beyond your expectations.

They made good recommendations on cases etc and got us fixed up on a good promotion to trade in our old phones; hopefully we're good for another three years. You can call ahead and ask about ongoing promotions but make sure you double check the facts on plans and discounts, because details can be miscommunicated and plans can change. Once you switch your plan, there's no going back, and AT&T seems to always be trying to get customers to switch plans. This store seems to have steady flow of traffic but the crowds didn't seem overwhelming when we were there. They also take appointments. Parking is easy in their lot.

We live in a rural area where service can be spotty, so I asked several times regarding the trial / return policy which was reconfirmed multiple times. After a few weeks it was clear that the service and coverage with AT&T was basically unusable. I won't go into detail but either no service or extremely slow data everywhere we use our phones. We returned the store to cancel service, return the phones and return to T-Mobile. The "manager" Chelsea informed us there was a 14 day return policy on the phones. I told her we were told we had 30 days to which she replied you have 30 days to opt out of the service and 30 days to turn in the trade in phones for the promotion, but only 14 days to return the iPhones. She literally refused to help us and made us leave the store to call corporate AT&T with $4800 worth of phones. I called corporate and spoke to a supervisor who listened to me regarding the situation and asked me to go back into the store to put Chelsea on the phone with them to her the store needed to make an exception as we were misinformed, at which point we were able to return the phones but we charged $220 for restocking fees. Please don't do business with these people. Terrible customer service, and cell service. Stick with T-Mobile or Verizon in Oregon (we've had both). And avoid this store at all cost. If I hadn't pushed back we would have been stuck with $4800 in phones out of pocket (you lose all promotions if you opt out of continuing service).

Brandon stayed an extra hour after his shift to be able waive the transfer fees (despite his ride already being there to pick him up after his 11 hour shift). Saul ended up staying 45 minutes after close to get the new phones updated and the data transferred from all 4 phones. Both weee very friendly and nice throughout the whole process, even during the time we literally had to stand there and watch the hour timer countdown on my phone. I previously had AT&T and have been to several Eugene stores over the years and received poor service and extras added to my account that I specifically turned down. It's fairly spacious and nicely laid out. It also has plenty of staff on hand, all armed with tablets to make the service more consistent. We were funneled to a college-aged kid named Dominic. He could not have been more helpful. Yes, he tried to upsell us on a tablet, but that's his job. He did what he could for my situation, getting me a manufacturer's warranty replacement, so I can keep going until my contract is up.
