If I could give this location and manager a negative 10 stars I wouldn't think twice about it. Walk in around 4:40 pm today (store closes at 6) 2 other customers waiting. 2 sales reps helping 2 other customers. So we sit and wait. We know the other 2 people were waiting before us. Waiting for about 25 mins. Still no contact from ANY kind of employee (no hello walking in the door, no "I'll be with you guys shortly". NOTHING. 5:15 pm comes and the Manager, Greg walks out of the back room. Asks us If he can help us. Me and my wife say yes, we would like to upgrade our phones. IMMEDIATELY as we said that, he looks at his watch and says " oooh sorry, we won't be able to do any upgrades. We're closing soon" I look at my watch knowing that it's only 5:15 and they close at 6pm. I asked Greg if they close at 6pm today. He's says yes we do. I then say "ok, that's 45 minutes away. Why aren't we able to?" His response was his employees are with customers which we knew. I then asked him why he wouldn't be able to do the upgrade since he's the manager and SHOULD know how to do all operations in the store. His response was "I don't sell" Meaning, he didn't want take the time to help customers upgrade since he's salary and gets no commission from it. Pretty opposite of any kind of good customer service. I then tell him we will be going to another location. Thanks for no help, Manager Greg. He proceeds to tell me that all locations close at 6pm. Go ACROSS the street to another location that was open until 8pm. We tell that employee at that location about the mindblowing experience we just had. He tells us this is not the first or second time he has heard about this particular store and manager. So instead of helping his store get more revenue and getting customers out the door with their needs and issues they're there for, he wants to push it off and do nothing. Mind you, previously I said he came out of the back after we were sitting there for 30 mins. Sad he doesn't wanna generate sales for the store or help his employees get commission. Beware read more

I don't even know how to word my recent experience at this AT&T location. Doesn't matter what job you're in, I think it's important to stay professional and dress appropriately. It's one thing to bring your behind to work but it's another to have it visible to customers... this one staff here, Caucasian male, heavy set had me feeling really... uncomfortable with his improper dress code, having his behind shown. If your pants are loose maybe a belt could help? I hope my next trip back to this store the staff will APPEAR better, (behind fully covered). read more

The search continues on finding that next cell phone provider. AT&T you are next in line to try to win me over. I visited this location a few weeks ago ,seeing I was in the area to find out what made AT&T stand out from the rest. I used to have then "Cingular Wireless " so I kinda have an idea what AT&T were about. I was greeted by a sales rep named Rick, who was there for a training seminar. He has a store in Atlantic City , but a majority of the managers had met up in this location. Rick wasn't as pushy , he didn't force you into getting a plan that didn't suit your needs. I personally appreciate that, who wants to be rushed into something that may end up costing you a fortune with not getting what you actually need. As far as carriers I am still on the bubble about it, still weighing out my options. He completely understood where I was coming from. Rick also introduced me to the store's assistant manager named Patrick. Another good guy, who isn't into the buy buy buy method. Yes these places rely on commission, this is how they get paid. The one who has the better numbers basically gets a better pay check. These 2 gentlemen were not about that, if they can't provide you with what you are looking for they will not hassle you. Both broke down what the payments would be, down to the surcharge. Still undecided , not because of AT&T or Verizon , but when I finally do decide it will most likely be these guys. Best selection of phones on site in the area for AT&T customers. Lots of stuff on display so you can get a feel for if you will actually like the product before purchasing. It's a stand-alone store in a semi-convenient location near the Deptford Mall. Ample parking. Good Chinese & DD in the same strip plus a Target across the way makes this location great for multi-taskers. We're always able to resolve any phone problems here on first try, unlike other locations. read more

Buyer Beware! Deceiving! Horrible experience so far!   My husband and I switched to AT & T from T-Mobile/Sprint on January 11th, 2021.  While at the store, we dealt with a particular customer service associate that we thought was helping us.  Now, we find we have been deceived in more ways than one. 1st issue:  We were told that if we traded in our phones, we would only have to put a small amount down for the new phones, and not owe a monthly fee per phone (I Phone 12 & Samsung Galaxy Note 20).  He neglected to tell us that this is not a buy back program, and that we would owe our prior company for those cell phones that were then traded into AT & T.  I find this to be extremely deceiving.   2nd issue:  We were told that we would be paying $155/month for 2 lines with HBO Max (note he did not tell us about any plans without the HBO Max that are cheaper).  However, we just received our 1st bill in the mail with a due date of February 2nd, when we didn't even start with AT & T until January 11th and were told we wouldn't owe a bill for another 2 months.  Also, the $155 we were told we'd have to pay, somehow turned into a whopping $308! Tell me how this is ok?!  My husband called the store and spoke to this customer service associate.  The associate proceeded to explain why the charge would be $308, not $155.  He stated there is an activation fee per line which we were never told, as well as our phones that we now traded in (supposedly for a $700 credit on each phone) were not showing as traded in yet.  There is also supposed to be an additional discount through my work, that is not showing on the bill though I provided my pay stub at the store in order for that discount to be applied immediately, or so I thought.   In Conclusion: Why were we not told about any extra charges, even if they will eventually go away.  2nd of all, why weren't we told we would owe our old company for the phones he got us to trade into AT & T.  3rd:  Why weren't we told our options with the phone plans, instead of railroaded into the highest paying plan?  The service we received at this store with that associate is atrocious, and I would like something to be done about this! read more

Sevice is best described as Bait & Switch / Unethical. Enter this AT&T store at your own Risk. I stopped in to add a phone to my plan, salesman was evasive. After 40 minutes I finally got my iPhone 11 Pro. Salesman said we have a free AT&T TV promotion, "take it with you at no charge fo 90 days, if you don't like it, return at no charge". My wife said, "we don't need it and I won't pay for something I don't want." Salesman said, "absolutely no charge, its free." I forgot about it as we have Comcast, Apple TV, Hulu, etc. so no need to even open the box, then 30 days later I saw charges of $127.00 for AT&T TV. After hours on the phone with AT&T, we received a Return Authorization and a partial credit. We still had to pay $127.95 for a product we never opened & a service we did not use. We are thinking the salesman slipped the charges on my iPhone bill since we sign on a pad, not on a paper agreement. TIP: Buy your phone on line from Apple and avoid this Deptford AT&T Store as we will from now on. You'll save time, money and avoid being duped. read more

As I sit outside of the "closed" store at 9:15 am on Saturday March 23, 2019, I'm thinking of all the wonderfully produced AT&T ads that state how much my business, as a Marine Corps veteran means to them. Well, so much for, "Thank you for your service." The posting on the AT&T website says, today's business hours are 9am to 9pm. My appointment is for 9:30 am. I was walking to the door when I was met by the a store employee who told me that "the store opens at 10am." Confused I explained that I had an appointment, made online for 9:30am. She replied, "the store opens at 10 am. AT&T hours." As I attempted to tell her that I made the appointment on the AT&T website she walked through the door without further comment. So much for customer service. I left Verizon for the same reason that I will be departing AT&T. All of these cellphone companies are overcharging for their services and it would be bearable if the customer service wasn't so bad. Would it have killed her to say something like, "I'm sorry, there's a glitch with the website" or it hasn't been updated to the new hours" or how about we apologize for any inconvenience." Last I heard it's the consumer that makes a business thrive. Oh well, maybe it's time to give T-Mobile a try. 10:24 am March 23, 2019: I finally got inside and was serviced by the same employee who was condescending and dismissive. When I pointed out that I felt she was being condescending she replied, "Okay." I really don't understand why people in the service industry act this way but, I'll just leave it to another life's experience and accept that answer as her way of saying, We don't need your business. People are being replaced by automation and after this experience, it's easy to see why. For her sake I hope she considers how she deals with people because the next person she treats like that may not be as forgiving as me. read more

This is without a doubt, THE WORST PLACE to buy a cellular phone. I brought in an iPhone 4S and the employee confirmed to me that it was unlocked...then sold me airtime on a monthly plan. Only problem is that it didn't work, there was some problem with the phone and the airtime didn't go through. I said "Ok, no big deal. Just refund my money." The choad manager there REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND despite the fact that I paid money and got zero in return. What kind of place tells you that something works and charges you, then won't refund you only minutes later when it doesn't work?!? Instead, he pawned off they're crummiest ATT smartphone on me. Why in the world would I want that piece of junk when I have an iPhone? No refund, sarcastic apology - This place is a SCAM and a RIPOFF. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! read more

As a business owner of plus 30 yrs, if I provided the level of customer service this store does, I would have been out of business 29yrs 9 months ago. 1. I was there 5 mins and still no one signed me in, I had to ask for someone to sign me in.. Every time here, it takes from 20mins-45mins to see someone. 2. Place is ALWAYS under staffed 3. The process of upgrading a phone takes as long if not longer then buying a new car. 4. There is NO special sign in for business accounts. 5. Their casual laid back approach to business shows this isn't a owner operated business. All AT&T does is sell service, and their customer service makes Comcast look like Champions.. I don't know about everyone else but I generally go to the cell phone store expecting some over bearing sales person to immediately jump up my butt trying to sell me some stupid crap I don't need. This however was not the case this time. I had lost my phone on Friday night after a few cocktails in Philly. after calling AT&T to deal with all the lost and stolen reports they let me know I was eligible for an upgrade. So of to the store I went. To make a long story short Krista helped me and she was pretty freakin awesome! She gave me the facts and was so happy about her IPhone that I got one! And I love it. Do not go to here for any new or upgrade service. I have been dealing with a credit issue for 3 1/2 months. They mis informed me of the promotion. Not only did I get a run around, every person I worked with, from the employee who added my new phone line, to the person who scammed me into direct tv, to the supervisors were all incompetent!! This place really needs help. I'm not sure the management knows the first thing about the telecommunications industry. It felt like they were completely clueless if something doesn't work on the computer the way it's supposed too. I made an appointment and showed up on time, they told me I wasn't on the list. I was told I could keep my existing number over the phone, then in person this wasn't possible. I felt like they conned me into the store in an attempt to up-sell me on some garbage two-year plan when all I want is a better month-to-month plan. All the advertising and false promises really turned me off to this company. I'm not sure if every store is as terrible as this one, but I think this one is especially mismanaged. I've been with AT&T dating back to before the merger with Cingular. I was actually a Cingular customer. Anyway, the service and advice that I receive in this store is how every cellular store should be run. Informative, no pressure to buy a product or upgrade your services. If anything, they'll review your bill and suggest what plan might be good for your account and saving you money on your monthly bill. Recently, we were reviewing our bill and was looking at options to reduce it. We don't have a shared data plan since I figured that my kids use a lot of data... Well, it shocked the customer service woman that was trying to condense the bill for us that the person who used the most data in the house was me...lol. I'm ashamed to say how much was used last month, so I'll leave that detail out. Luckily these details were reviewed by the young lady instead of suggesting and switching the service with us. My wife and I phones still have the grandfathered unlimited data service which is no longer available. Give it up, and it could be costly and you will never get it back. Thankfully the young lady did a great job of checking to see of changing plans would be good for us.... The service and products have kept and will keep us customers. read more

They sold me a tv plan and sign me up on a two year contract with for a price that wasn't supposed to change. A year after, they charge me twice as much now I'm complaining and they want me to pay early termination fee plus pay for cable box that they give me "free" I walked to the store and the lady that sold me the service it's not there anymore and they can help me because she doesn't work there anymore. read more

I usually go to this location because they have more employees and better service than the mall. Aaron was super helpful today in helping my dad get a new iPhone. I have dealt with cell phone sales people in other stores where they are either overbearing or totally useless. Here they are helpful, friendly, and sell you exactly what you want. I have upgraded my phone twice here, and both times it was painless and even enjoyable if you can believe that. They even have a bin where you can recycle your old phone once you have completed the upgrade process. I will return again. read more

Went in the store because my LG G4 stopped working this morning and needed help. I walked in and there were a LOT of associates around. One man walks up to me and he has his tablet in front of his face. He speaks to me but his face is in his tablet. No eye contact. I talk and he still has his eyes down on his tablet. So I tell him what's wrong and he briefly looks up, only to tell me that he can't help me. "I can sell you a phone, but I can't do anything with your problem." Excuse me?? And then goes back to his tablet. I look around and see that three of the associates are sitting at one of the tables, two on their electronic devices, and one of them was ASLEEP. I am so sorry that I interrupted play time. Unbelievable. I'll tell you right now, AT&T is really going down hill. Customer service, their phones, everything.
