After exhausting every possible avenue I could to recover my phone and without losing my current phone number I was left with only two options: Get a new phone with a new phone number, or get my current phone repaired. Being that it was an iPhone 10 with a black screen, a battery that constantly needed charged, I thought repairing it was going to be too costly... I searched for Apple repair shops and found Metro Detroit Phone Repair in Chesterfield; I called the store and was greeted with a confident voice on the other end that said they could help and get me in the same day. After arriving and explaining my feverish last couple of days researching options and speaking with several support departments from my current carrier to my new carrier, and Apple stores, I was drained and at wits end. The employee Nasya ensured me they could correct the probelm in mere minutes. Not only was Nasya confident, professional, and extremely knowledgeable she had my phone repaired in 20 minutes! After discussing with her my options with my current phone I also purchased a bettery along with the screen repair and was out the door in no time-phone working like it was brand new, anxiety gone, phone number saved! Thank you Nasya!

Well, apparently that's not how it works anymore. Now you have to register it online, file a claim, and wait for them to ship you a new one. That's pretty ridiculous, especially considering these screen protectors cost about twice as much as the ones at Walmart. If I had known I couldn't just walk into the store for a replacement like they told me, I would've saved my money and bought one at Walmart. I hate when you're told one thing at the time of purchase, only to find out later the process is completely different. It just feels like another way to get people to spend more money.
