One simple word.. RUN Stay away from this store and do yourself a favor and shop online for yourself. They'll sell you tv, internet, and 2 phones to your infant children. If you are competent enough, do yourself right and order the products yourself online and don't spend an hour trying to get help. The managers do nothing to help unless they are pressed by their higher ups. Used car lot type energy from these guys hence why other places are doing much better overall in regard to value, price, and benefit. Anytime I need some actual face to face help, I come all the way to this location. It seems less busy, probably because this location is almost hidden. Staff members are always friendly and ready to help their customers. This time I went in for a phone upgrade and was not disappointed. I was immediately greeted by a staff member and was asked what I needed help with. The staff member asked me all the right questions so that my options were more clear. I opted to upgrade from a Google Pixel 4a to a Google Pixel 7, complete with a screen protector and a phone case. The only problem was that I had to pay an additional 80$ due to the fact that this store only received a certain amount of Google phones and they had sold out specifically of the Google Pixel 7. The worst. Terrible staff. Dirty showroom. I've been an AT&T customer 20 years plus. I've been in countless ATT stores. The southpark shop just blows. I came in to resolve a billing issue where after four months the store I turned my phone into for trade in couldn't find said trade in. My bill is off by $1100 dollars now. Even worse at 6:30...I waited patiently while the two employees on the floor helped customers and the rest hid in the back. Multiple times I saw them come out then run back to the back. Everybody skipping out early instead of staying to help customers till close at 8. I waited for 45 minutes to speak to a rep. I had to make 3 trips to this store in regard to the botched iPhone. They finally recognized it was a bad product, and slowly started to problem solve. Stay away from AT&T on Fairview Rd in Charlotte (unless you're going to cancel). 3 WEEKS + 5 TRIPS "NEW" PHONE BROKEN - 5 trips to get a new phone, gave me a broken phone, permanently deleted my appleid off my former phone, increased the price of the phone by double, and despite no working apps I've been charged data fees even when connected to wifi. CANCELLATION FEE FOR MY RECENTLY DECEASED GRANDFATHER - When trying to cancel my recently deceased grandfather's line they brought up a cancellation fee. DOUBLED THE PROMISED PRICE OF PHONE - the initial $700 promised on trip one for trading in my phone has now dropped to $350. There was nothing wrong with my phone when I went early May, they didn't have the phone available so asked me to come back once in stock. The ONLY time my phone was not in it's otterbox was when the ATT workers took it out to examine the trade in. The otterbox was back on before leaving the store, I never take it off, and somehow 3 days later they find a crack so it's worth $350 not $700. DEFECTED NEW PHONE - They then gave me a defected phone. When I returned asking why everything was stuck in loading / waiting they said "you have a lot of apps, it's gonna take awhile." I finally gave in and moved from my Verizon Crackberry "worldphone" to an AT&T iPhone. My purchasing experience was very pleasant, considering that I stopped in to the store at a very quiet time - I was the only one there on Sunday afternoon. This gave the salesperson (Courtney) plenty of opportunity to focus on me and my transaction. It took only about 25 minutes, which was pretty good considering that I knew exactly what I wanted. Besides my husband and brownies, my iPhone is one of the great loves of my life. Since AT&T is currently the only carrier to host service for my precious iPhone, I stopped by my local store to order up the iPhone 4. Now, sometimes mobile carrier stores can vaguely resemble used car dealerships. No, not because they sell used stuff, but because they can just be filled with jargon, slick sales pitches and mile-long contracts. Not so much at this AT&T store. It's purty inside, filled with tons of fun, shiny phones and accessories. The store is impeccably clean and there are some sweet flatscreen TVs near the back of the store that you can oogle while you wait. It's important to note that every employee we worked with was super friendly, helpful and courteous. And dressed so nicely, natch! While the salespeople may lean hard on the iPhone, I was there to order my iPhone 4 anyway no hard pitch needed. Hubs and I worked with Tyler and Malcolm to transfer my old phone to hubs, set up family plan and order my new, shiny iPhone 4. Both of these guys were super patient and helped answer all of my (surely irksome) questions that I had. This AT&T store is sharp and inviting inside and out. Karon and the rest of the staff here were super pleasant and helpful. I brought my Mom here to upgrade her iPhone as her phone was initially giving her a few headaches with its malfunction issues. She was able to get her phone upgraded, a review and repackage her home phone, internet, and TV service as well. They were so patient and helpful with ensuring she was well informed of all of her services she currently has and found discounts along the way. The manager even came over to check in on my Mom and Karon- she was quite pleasant and personable as well. Most times when you visit these type of retail stores, you feel rushed and sometimes pushed into services and items you don't really need. Yesterday at about 1:00pm I went to this AT&T location to get my daughters iPhone activated. Walked in as I had done the week before to make my claim and was immediately greeted by a young women sitting at desk at door. She asked my why I was there, I told her, she said "please take a seat". TWO POINTS of ALARM... she was not wearing a mask and asked me to sit a few feet from her. I asked her why she was not wearing a mask, she said " makes it difficult to breath and until AT&T makes it mandatory I won't wear one". I explained to her that she was putting me at risk ( I am 61 with High Blood pressure... she just shrugged. After sitting and trying to figure out a few things with my daughters account, she actually coughed into her arm... please note that every customer and all other employees we're wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing. At the end I left after she said we were online with phone, not true, I had to go home and call tech support to get phone actually online. I have been waiting 45 mins to purchase a $10 item. When I walked in here, there were seven or eight staff members milling around. I count three now. Parking here is a chore, but if you can deal with it then you'll get fairly good customer service in this location. Just skip the parking near the store and park in the lower area, it's good exercise and it'll save you the trouble of trying to do a 3 point turn in an extremely tight parking space up top. They get you checked in and helped quite fast here and they really seem to do whatever they can to help you out with whatever you need. Though for iPhone users you are still better off going to the apple store down the street for support. I appreciate that I don't have to listen to all the sales pitches of how I can upgrade my service for only a little more each month or all the new things I can add to my plan here. I went to this location last night because I had placed a online order for a new phone. Originally it was supposed to take up to two hours but after the two hours were up the store had no record of my order so I called and the women that answered the phone was rude. She told he there was nothing she could do and just hung up. So I called the 800 number and the customer service guy told me they should have it. None the less I went to the store and she basically tried to tell me there wasn't anything they could do even though I had all my emails confirming my order. On 10/22/21, I visited the SouthPark AT&T store. Benny is the rep who assisted me. I purchased a new cellphone and was told once I paid all fees and received credit for the cellphone I was trading in, my bill would only go up around $24 a month. When I received my first bill, the increase was much more than what I had been told. It turns out that Benny added two plans to my phone without telling me, even though I declined all the extras he attempted to sell me. Today I called AT&T to complain about an increase of over $60 to my monthly bill. Turns out that he had added insurance and next-up to my bill without my authorization. While I was complaining to AT&T, I was advised that they have had a lot of complaints about this store. I have been to AT&T on this location for five times to correct the billing but non of them solved the problem, they kept saying this or that to make you pay the amount more than they have promised you that you would pay. At first I want to Change my plan and the guy said it will be 230.00$include taxes and everything, when the bill come it was 310.00$. Even the manager doesn't want to solve the problem and the first time he said he will fix the bill and send the bill and the bill will be this amount, but didn't receive anything and nothing get Change on the bill amount. They don't honor warranty on cases. I paid more and bought from the store because they promised if anything happened to the phone case that they would replace within a year. The plastic lining on my case while putting it on the phone so I tried to return. They absolutely refused and said that they will only take back if it's a manufacture defect. I guess plastic that breaks while putting on the phone doesn't count. It's one thing if they don't take them back, but don't lie about the policy just to make a cheap sale. read more

I was told by the loyalty department (Robert) that my upgrade fees would be waived ($50) on the 12/29/17. As of 01/02/18 they were not, and no notes about me calling and having them removed, and after being told they would be and to give it 24 hours to show in my account. After being with AT&T for over 18 years and the costs of new phones, not to mention I had to return it to apple after 4 days of use and get a new phone. 18 years of service with all the money I have spent with AT&T, you cannot remove upgrade fees?
