terrible customer service! It took almost a year and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to get it resolved. The store managers never returned or took your phone calls. When I went in person to the store I waited for 45 minutes and said they would get back to me, They never got back to me. They keep telling me me my billing and trade in issue would be fixed in the next 2 billing cyckes-(lies). Once I filed the complaint with BBB it was resoved by the President's office in 1 day. I suggest you go to a different AT&T or change carriers. read more

Awesome experience! I went into the store today to see if I could purchase a charging cord for a JBL Bluetooth speaker. THEY GAVE ME ONE - NO CHARGE!!!! The two guys that helped me were so accommodating. They made sure it fit my speaker ( which I brought with me) before sending me out the door. While I was there, I also bought a car charger for my husband. Excellent service! ( Who WOULDN'T be singing the praises of a store that gave something away????) I'm not even an AT&T customer!!!! This store is always very knowledgeable of policies, plans and equipment. I switch in this store 4+ years ago and always go back if I need help. I've added lines and a tablet. My only complaint cannot be attributed to the store. Not sure if it's a Samsung or ATT update problem with a tablet that won't stream video on data. The one star comments below show the customer doesn't always know the rules/policy, they apply with any carrier. Prepaid plan balance cannot be transferred to a new account. The current minimum data plan available is 1 gig on any new Account, pre or post paid. The return period is 14 days. Any defective merchandise is covered by a manufacturer warranty, not ATT. read more

You can judge a business by their staff and I am recommending AT&T in Canton, Ct . Andre Orr is the most knowledgeable Retail Sales Consultant I have ever encountered. I am forever having difficulty with my I Phone and he always finds the time to help me. I have no tech skills and he shows so much patience and kindness while working with me. He goes that extra mile and is very respectful. You don't very often find a young man who is bright, personable and knowledgeable . He treats customers as if he owns the store. It is so unfortunate that a store so close to my house is not better at costumer service . Jillian who currently works there is very sweet and Victoria helpful too but the policy of AT&T IS HORRIBLE . My phone did not work properly and when I brought it back form a new phone with 14 days they MADE MY PAY MORE MONEY to switch it out . If any of my costumers are not satisfied with any of our services , it is instant rebate ! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! Snotty horrible people except for the ones I named . This place sucks ! No sense of urgency or customer service. They are alaways poorly staffed and no one know how to multi-task or work with more than 1 person. We went in at 7 during the week. One customer in front of us. We were greeted and told someone would be with us in a minute. 39 minutes later we are still waiting. I finally said we only had a few questions to ask. I was told that they couldn't tear themselves away for a minute even though the customer was wondering around the store. If you go to this location, bring a good book. read more

Went to return a glass screen cover purchased 16 days ago that was already starting to chip on the edges. Store manager refused to take back item despite explaining to him that we had a death in the family the previous week. Having been a customer of ATT for more than 20 years and having multiple phones on the account, It is the last time I will ever go in that store since they do not stand behind their product. I bought an Apple Watch and came back 3 days later for a problem with it. Two different sales persons made it very clear that they themselves had a better non Apple Watch and didn't know anything about mine. They told me to go to the Apple store in the mall. If you sell a product,you should be able to set it up and answer questions and stand by it. Also you don't need to denigrate the product that you sell. read more

I realize that anything involving a contract is sometimes a bit tricky to understand. So whether it's att, a bank loan, or a car lease, I always try to ask a lot of questions to make sure I know what I'm getting into. I appreciate at this store I don't feel like I'm pulling teeth to get answers from them. They lay it all out there. Any time I have gone in, every and any employee makes sure I'm taken care of, and makes me feel like my business matters. When I smashed my phone (old and way out of contract) instead of just saying, "here's a new phone that'll be $1 million dollars they explained to me what My best options were, even if it meant not buying a phone from them that day. Like they literally took out a pen and paper and helped me budget what the best way would be for me to get a new phone, with payments and my budget. You can't ask for better service than that. read more

Don't waste your time with curbside pick up. I ordered an upgraded phone on my existing wireless account online and selected curbside pick up for the new phone...naively thinking this would be more convenient than having it shipped to my home a few days later. After getting the confirmation note saying my order was ready for pickup, I followed all their check in steps online, including identifying my car and where I was parked. I then waited 15 minutes; nobody came to the car. I called the store at 15 minutes to see if someone could bring the new phone out and was told someone would get there when they freed up. Waited another 5-10 minutes and went into the store. Staff ignored me until I flagged someone down. That person then said they couldn't just hand me my order with verifying my identifying information because there was more "check out process" to do (which wouldn't happen if I'd just had it delivered to my home the first time out). I had to leave to pick up kids from school as I hadn't thought to allot over 30+ minutes for CURBSIDE pick up of an order I already paid for. Save yourself the hassle and skip this store or perhaps skip AT&T entirely. read more

I went in because I thought I wanted to switch from my iPhone to a Nokia lumia. Instead of pushing a sale the man I worked with was very helpful and talked me out of the Nokia. He was very helpful and informative! He told me about the "next plan" and suggested I wait until my 2 year was up. It was nice not to be pressured and get good advice! read more

Consistently poor customer service. Spent 90 minutes in this store today doing a simple "pick up from store" after an online upgrade. Assistant seemed ill-trained and I'll-equipped to perform a basic task. This is not the first time that visiting this store has resulted in pure frustration. Would dump att in an instant if other providers were in my rural area. Left store with promise that all was correct only to find later that upgrade was not completed correctly. The AT&T Canton (CT) Store has been reported to the State of Connecticut Office of the Attorney General for deceptive sales practices. During our purchase of an iPhone7 (128 gb) at the AT&T Canton store today we were advised the phone could not be paid for in full, but needed to be paid in installments of $25 per month for 30 months. After calling AT&T directly we were advised this is not true, and the iPhone 7 may be paid for in full. AT&T further advised us the store and its salespersons receive monetary incentives steering customers to pay for the phone in installments. Additionally, the Mobile Insurance Premium and Mobile Protection Pack were added to our purchase without our knowledge (both of these plan would appear as additional charges on future bills but the AT&T Canton Store did not tell us this). When we reported the above problems to the manager of the Canton store we were treated very unprofessionally and she refused to do anything to remedy the situation. The manager Amanda is terrible and rude. The employees are very nice and helpful, however she gives a bad name to this store. I will never give my business to them again because of her. I have been coming to this particular at&t store since it opened in the Shoppes and bringing my 10 pound Bichon Frise with me (who is hypoallergenic) every time I went. Everyone in the store greets her and loves petting her. However, on this particular day the new manager Amanda decided to implement the "no dog" policy. I told her that I just wanted to make my purchase and be on my way but she would not allow me to and told me to leave. Now, let me mention today in CT was very warm and to leave my dog in the car would not be a smart idea. Also, the store was completely empty and I had carried her in. It is very confusing when the employees are welcoming the dog and the manger decides to put the "policy" into effect when all the other billions of times I have been there and no one has ever told me not to bring my dog in. Maybe it's time they put a sticker on the door to avoid this flexible policy from humiliating an another costumer. Absolutely disgusted. If your gonna have a policy make sure all employees and managers follow it. End of story. read more

I had a terrible experience in the Canton store. Wanted to set up an account with my new iPhone, rolling over my gophone minutes and using some but minimal data. Also, if possible, I wanted to avoid a credit check, since I would have to "unfreeze" my credit records. He was amazingly unhelpful and gave me a lot of information that I later found was entirely wrong. For one thing, he couldn't guarantee that I could roll over my minutes. The only way I could find out would be to set up an account and make an application. When I told him that I was told over the phone by an AT&T rep that it was possible, he said, "Oh, they just read from a script." I said I wanted minimal data - he said that 1 G was the minimum. Wrong again; you can buy as little as 250 MB. He told me that it was necessary to have a credit check. Wrong yet again, you don't need a credit check for a prepaid gophone account. He appeared to have one standard package he wanted to sell, and if you weren't interested, neither was he. I resolved that if I ever needed to visit an AT&T store again, I'd go the extra distance to West Hartford and hope for better luck. read more
